Turns out they are in their soft opening currently where they opened about a week or two ago. Despite the coffee shop in the front of the store, they also have a photo lab at the back of the space. I saw lots of film being sold as well as overheard that they have processing services as well. I primarily came to try their coffee so I can't comment much on the photo lab services. Coffee wise the menu is basic and simple. A bit on the pricer side compared to other coffee shops in the city. They use Hatch coffee beans. I ordered a flat white to consume there. The staff were friendly and attentive and my drink was made at a reasonable time. The flat white was great. As I sipped on my drink, I admired the photography on display. They also have photography books to browse through as well! Overall, great new addition to the Chinatown area. Love the coffee and photo lab concept. Definitely would return to spend time in the space for a coffee!

I said it was fine. She printed it in colour. I mentioned I wanted black and white and was told that passport offices accept colour. I mentioned again nicely I wanted black and white. I was told it will be another $10. Fine, another $10. This time the husband and other co-owner came to where the picture was taken and I sat down- I wanted another photo anyways. He told me that I didn't need one he had just printed in black and white the same photo. I stated that I would prefer another photo and that I wasn't informed it was a reprint. I was told it was another $10 if I wanted to retake the photo. Seriously?!?!?!?!?! I told them both that this wasn't what I requested and wasn't consulted about what I wanted when I came in and didn't feel I should be charged more fees. The told me if I didn't like it to go somewhere else. I told them this is really poor customer services and passport photo places are very plentiful. So I left without paying for anything. They could have had my $20 but got greedy and now have nothing. You might want to consider an alternate option to this place, there are plenty around.

I like shopping at Black's generally, so I had no hesitation coming here. The staff at this…read morelocation welcomes you with big smiles & is exceptionally friendly. Here's the problem - underneath the smiles, they have very little idea what they're doing and continuously attempt to cover that up. As I waited for them to bumble the 3rd huge mess they'd gotten my order into (I could go on, but it's a long story), I watched them actually shame another customer into apologizing for inconveniencing THEM for losing her prints and receipt - a second time. Beware - it seems if they don't know the answer to a question; which is often from what I witnessed, the culture here dictates - improvise & make something up on the spot, with a reassuring smile. My advice is go to another location and not rely on the sales people here, I was casually lied to on several occasions as they covered their tracks, and spent hours dealing with their mess. Saw the same thing happen to other customers repeatedly as I waited. E.g., one customer came in re: their camera at home not functioning (dead), and the smiling salesperson immediately suggested a $40 product that happened to be available behind the counter; without even seeing the camera, let alone testing it or asking a question. The customer went for it. Don't let the extra-friendly 'service' fool you, it's a ruse. Go to another location and save yourself the time and grief.

I was in the store three times trying to get things resolved. Each time, there were 5+ person…read moreline-ups with no one covering cash or at best one person. This despite the fact that there were 4-5 employees doing other things. Because I had so much time, I looked at the buying some frames. However, the shelves were such a mess with frames put into slots with different items mixed together that it became impossible to figure anything out. Ultimately, my biggest complaint was that I had I to come back to the store multiple times because the manager lied to me and then refused to acknowledge the problem. I will definitively take my business elsewhere. I pointed this all out to the manager and he could not care less.
