I highly recommend Privato. Chef Michael and Sous Chef Patrick were kind, friendly, on-time, clean -- and our dinner was fabulous. They even took the time to let our young children "help" with preparing dinner, and our kids loved it! Did I mention clean? They were spotless, and at the end of the evening, every dish, pot and pan was hand-washed, dried and put away. Like they were never there. A wonderful evening with talented, friendly professionals. read more

Michael was absolutely amazing. We hired him for dinner one night while we were in Arizona. First, the flexibility and patience with creating a menu prior to the date was very pleasing. He arrived early and all the ingredients were extremely fresh. Definitely high quality ingredients. He was super friendly and personable. It felt like a friend was cooking for us. He let a couple of us season and try the food as he cooked. Everything he made had so much flavor and tasted great. Can't wait to go back to Arizona and have him cook again. 10/10! Thank you Michael for taking good care of us! read more

Our kids gave us a gift certificate for the Privato-In-Home experience. We had never heard of Privato, so weren't sure what to expect. It was FABULOUS! We had a dinner for 10 and it was all beyond our expectations. From the charcuterie board, to the finale -- a delicious chocolate tart -- Chef Michael did beautiful presentations and described in detail what was being served. And when he left, the kitchen was cleaner than he found it! From scheduling to menu planning, Nicole was easy to work with -- and she did a great job of reconfirming everything the week of. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to host at home without all the stress! read more

Not sure where to even begin! I wanted to do something special for my boyfriends 30th and found Privato while I was searching online. Since the reviews were great I figured this was the perfect option (there were many private chefs to choose from) but I am so happy I went with chef Michael! Booking everything so was seamless, and his wife was so sweet and responsive setting up the whole thing. The dinner was absolutely amazing, and so was the company. Me and my boyfriend honestly felt like we were just hanging out with one of our close friends, and talked with chef Michael for hours while he cooked for us. The food was incredible, he truly has such a talent. Also the amount of leftovers we had was such a treat the following day. We will absolutely be hiring Michael in the future and will recommend him to all our family and friends. Thank you for such a memorable night!!! read more

Loved having Steven cook for us! Not only is he an amazing chef, but he even cleans the dishes, LOL! Had such a great time.

Awesome team from start to finish. Nicole helped with planning the right menu, and on the day of the even Chef Steven and team were professional, courteous, engaging and fun. All that with AWESOME FOOD! read more

Chef Michael was amazing! Our menu consisted of crab cake, pistachio & goat cheese salad, chilean sea bass, and molten lava cake. The process was very easy to work with the chef to customize (very accommodating of dietary restrictions). The chef was very personable. The presentation was beautiful and most importantly, the food was delicious. The chef also cleaned up when he was finished. I highly recommend the experience! read more

Chef Michael and his team (Chef Rob and Server Karen) were outstanding! We had a dinner for 15 people, and from booking to the big night we were so impressed. He was so accommodating while we were planning the menu to factor in dietary restrictions and to make each course exactly what we wanted. We were staying in an Airbnb and weren't sure what the kitchen would have... but not to worry, because Michael brings everything he needs. He even ran out before service started to pick up napkins because we didn't have any at the house. Each course was beautifully plated and he took the time to describe the flavors were were experiencing which really adds to any dining experience. Karen was so on it too and made sure our water and wine glasses were full at all times. It was really such a fun experience. I would highly recommend Privato! read more

I can't say enough great things about Chef Michael! What a wonderful experience we had with Privato. Nicole made the booking process so easy and flawless. She helped us create our menu and promptly answered all questions we had. Chef Michael is extremely talented and friendly. He arrived right on time, and he made the entire experience memorable. Chef Michael created a fantastic meal for our boisterous group of college buddies celebrating 30+ years of friendship, golf, and shenanigans. The meal was delicious, service was impeccable, and the process to book and coordinate was really easy. Kim also provided great service for our 4 course meal for 10 very picky eaters. We enjoyed crab cakes, steakhouse wedge salad, beef tenderloin & shrimp, and vanilla bread pudding. Each dish used super high quality ingredients, was very flavorful, and Chef's unassuming and approachable attitude made the whole night really comfortable. Kim's service did the same. I would highly recommend Chef Michael and the team. Truly great meal, fantastic service, and the comfort of your own private location. Top Notch! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Chef Michael and Nicole on a final night dinner for my friend's bachelorette party. The entire process from initial inquiry to final payment was flawless. We had a four course meal prepared for eight people consisting of scallops with a sweet miso sauce, grilled peaches with burrata, braised beef short ribs on top of manchego mashed potatoes with an amazing chimichurri and chocolate lava cake for dessert. Everything was delicious! Chef Michael and the server, Kim, really made our final night a memorable experience. I look forward to working with the entire Privato team again in the future! read more

I hired Privato for a dinner party of 5. My friend was visiting the area from Dallas with her sisters (for sisters 50th birthday) and instead of meeting them out I wanted to eat a nice meal at home. Privato was super flexible, great communication and easy to coordinate a menu for our taste. On date of event, Chef Michael was prompt, well prepared, communicated, brought printed menus for the place setting, prepared our courses, served us, cleaned up, saved the leftovers in the fridge for me and even started the dishwasher. I must admit we had drank way too much wine by the time he left, but he did a great job giving us the experience I was looking for before he snuck out. You would have never known from the look of my kitchen that such a nice meal had been prepared. I am new to the area but in previous locations liked to hire chefs to cook in my home. I found a bunch of chefs to choose from in this area, but I'm glad I tried Privato. I have found my new go-to Chef and will use Privato for my future dinner parties. If you have never hired a personal chef, I say do not hesitate you will not be sorry. I enjoyed the evening too much to take photos but I have one to share of our main course. read more

Chef Steven came to our home to cook dinner for our family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Despite scheduling only a few days in advance and throwing a few curve balls his way (a mix of vegetarians and meat eaters and one person who is allergic to dairy), Chef Steven knocked it out of the park. We had both meat and veggie options and a dairy-free dessert that was so tasty. The evening went off without a hitch - definitely something we'll do again! read more

Chef Michael and his staff were incredible to work with. Everything went very smoothly from the booking to the Final course. The food was beyond delicious. Let me start by saying that I would absolutely recommend Privato Chef and chef Steven to anyone looking to host a dinner. We hired Privato Chef for a bachelor party and they were amazing from start to finish. Nicole and the team were super responsive in getting us set up with a custom menu for our group and made the process seamless. The day of the event, chef Steven prepared the meal perfectly. We did three courses and each one was unique and delicious. Not only did he do a great job cooking, but he and his team did a great job serving and creating a great environment for dinner. It should also be noted that they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy) by modifying the dishes so that people with allergies were still able to enjoy the full dinner. Thank you chef Steven and the entire Privato team! read more

I truly could not recommend Michael and his team more highly. They helped create the most magical dinner party for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Every guest raved about the food, presentation, and the kindness of Michael and his team. Every single course was mouth watering and special. My husband still talks about the steaks and brownies (honestly the best brownie I've ever had.) Their team kind, on time, excellent communicators, fun to talk to, and incredibly professional. I can not say enough good things about Chef Michael. We hired Chef Michael for dinner during a Bachelorette trip to Scottsdale. From communicating prior with his team to plan the menu, all the way to the meal execution, this was a 10/10 experience. Even with all of our groups diverse dietary needs, our meal was delicious. Chef Michael beautifully plated everything with such detail, and was timely and prompt with clearing and serving each course. He brought all of his own equipment, and cleaned the entire kitchen before leaving. Outside of his talents in the kitchen, he was a true joy with a great sense of humor and a very laid back personality. He also offered great recommendations for dining and nightlife for the rest of our stay in AZ. This was one of the highlights of our trip and I can not recommend his services enough. Thank you, Chef Michael! read more

Chef Michael from the beginning blew us away. His website first caught my eye. The pictures of his food were absolutely stunning. After reaching out to him, I received a response immediately. Communication was easy, yet specific and detailed. From a phone call, to multiple emails making sure the menu was just perfect for our guests. Chef Michael was on time, jumped right in. He is a true professional. Every course was executed perfectly and exceeded our expectations. Offering small nibbles while preparing was the icing on the cake. Not to mention he cleans everything and puts everything away! We couldn't stop talking about how amazing the experience was. We plan on using him again in the near future and wouldn't even consider using anyone else. He is the real deal! read more

I had won a certificate for Privato's service via a workplace raffle. We never had the chance to take advantage in the following year due to personal pandemic restrictions, but Nicole was kind enough to extend the certificate value to the following year. And let me tell you, it was well worth the wait! Chef Michael was obviously amazing and my partner, parents, and I enjoyed a FANTASTIC 4-course meal prepared by him in our very small kitchen. He was incredibly professional but also so much fun (my parents loved him)! My mom was slightly allergic to one of the course ingredients, and Chef Michael made her a separate batch and dropped it off the following Sunday, just because he's the best! I can honestly say that this meal was the best I have ever had. Thank you, Nicole and Chef Michael! read more

Nicole was a pleasure to work with and came up with a phenomenal menu working with Chef Michael. We used Privato for a 5-course semi-formal birthday dinner for my mother's 80th and my daughter's 35th. They combined elements of French, Italian and Surf and Turf to make everyone happy--no small feat. Chefs Michael and Ian showed up on time with everything they needed and were right at home in our kitchen. The meal was amazing and made for an unforgettable evening. Thank you!!! read more

I bought a private dinner for eight as a gift for my wife. It turned out to be a spectacular success. Chef Michael consulted with us on the menu. He arrived on time with everything he needed. He went to work, asked no questions and served a fabulous meal. Brussel Sprouts, Walnut Salad, Pesto Halibut and a chocolate dessert. He plated and served each course and then cleaned up. We are still in awe. This is the next level of entertaining. For about the same price as an expensive restaurant you can entertain in the privacy and quiet of your home. We will definitely use Privato again. read more

Privato was OUTSTANDING. Michael was great (and easy) to work with, had a cool vibe about him, and my family loved him. He cooked for my Dad's 75th birthday and it was over the top great. He is one of those guys who would fit in anywhere.....if it was a stuffy/private event or if it was an easy going crowd - he would just vibe with the group and go with the flow. We ate at 2 super high end restaurnats while we were in Scottsdale and my family still says his food was "by far" the best. I highly, highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed. read more

Michael was absolutely unbelievable. We had a small dinner party of 4 people, with 4 courses. It was easy to coordinate with Nicole on the menu and schedule. Chef Michael was great! He was the perfect balance of professionalism and chill. He was totally cool with my wife peeking over his shoulder trying to learn and he offered tips and advice on new techniques. Most importantly, the food was amazing---Chef Michael is very talented!!! We loved it all and would eagerly book Chef Michael again, or refer to anyone. read more

I booked a dinner for 4 at my home in Gilbert for my husband's birthday and everything was absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. The price quote was quick and hassle free, all my questions were answered quickly and we worked together to plan a menu using ingredients my hubby loves. Also I let them know my 2 young children would also be in attendance and they planned to make a little extra for the kids with no problem. On the day of the dinner Chef Ben arrived promptly with everything needed to prepare our 4 course meal. He was kind enough to work around our curious dog and roll with the chaos of 2 kiddos! The first course of stuffed mushrooms was served exactly on time and a beautiful dinner unfolded from there - wedge salad, rack of lamb and creme brulee. Every course Chef Ben brought out to serve us on our patio was beyond delicious. All made with such precision and pride in his work. Afterwards he cleaned everything even leaving the stove top and appliances spotless! It was such a treat for us to book an in home chef and the evening was flawless. We highly recommend Chef Ben and Privato! read more

Chef Rob was absolutely amazing! Oh my, this was an incredible dinner prepared by Chef Michael for my husband and I. Chef michael did a great job. Phenomenal chef. We had a great dinner and were so excited for the delicious leftovers.

This is my first time writing a review but I felt the need. The evening was a 10. I found Privato on Google and saw the great reviews. I contacted Nicole and 2 emails and a phone call and the menu was set. Chef Michael and Chef Rob arrived at 3pm for a 6pm dinner. They brought everything, they bought the groceries, they prepared, they served and they left the place spotless. I know everyone said the food was tremendous, you could not get fresher or tastier food than was served. It is a great way to celebrate and I will be using Privato again. THE BEST read more
