I was a really big fan of the selection of meats and cheeses. The servers were attentive and impressively remembered everyone's drinks. For dinner, we had the hummus platter to start which was very colorful and fun. the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I got the house salad along with the short rib entree. House salad was simple and clean, while the beef short rib was super tender and flavorful. It required no assistance from my knife. Lastly, we closed the night with a platter of different desserts. It had mini macarons, cookies, lemon bars, etc. The desserts leaned a little too sweet for my likely so a little went a long way. It was a very wonderful night.

Suffice it to say we weren't disappointed and now have a new place to frequent. They have a good Happy Hour menu with reduced drink prices and eating choices. The ambiance is really quite stunning and we were seated at a nice window seat. My friend had the chicken sandwich and I opted for the turkey burger. Both were good and must admit the salted fries were excellent. Our server was top notch: attentive, friendly and she checked in on us regularly. Wish I could remember her name so that I could give her kudos here. All in all we were quite satisfied and we'll definitely return.

You can really tell by how everything tastes that they are a scratch made kitchen. This house made gluten-free bread is the best I have ever had in my life and in many years of being gluten free. The name Chestnut…read moreFine Foods & Provisions feels a bit deceiving, as the experience was nowhere close to fine dining. The space itself has a very diner-like feel, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The outdoor area is a decent size, which would be nice on a good-weather day. I ordered a matcha latte and asked for it extra hot, but it came out lukewarm. When I mentioned it, they added hot water to warm it up, which just diluted the drink. They were kind enough to remake it, but the second one tasted about the same. My friend also commented that her coffee tasted watered down. The fruit and yogurt was very basic and didn't feel worth the $10 price in my opinion. The service was friendly though. Sadly, this is not a spot I'd rush back to.

We visited Jewel's bakery and Café today for the first time and I RAN to Yelp to leave this review…read more One of our family members was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, and we are learning the ropes of a gluten-free life. Going to Jewel's cafe was the most stress-free dining experience we have had in weeks. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer because they have been dearly missed for fear of cross-contamination in other fryers. I had the March special corn, beef skillet in honor of St. Patrick's Day and my dining companion had pancakes. Just the other day they said the things that they missed the most were crispy edged pancakes like the ones from Cracker Barrel and onion rings. Problem solved and all of the food was delicious. We splurged on some bakery treats to go. The macarons are excellent and I'm told the chocolate mint cupcake is epic. The real star of the bakery case is the cinnamon roll. The flavor is outstanding, texture is very good though has some of that GF crumbliness and it is not dry, thank goodness. It's really big and definitely enough for sharing. The bad news for me is that Jewel's is far from our house so we won't be able to go all the time. The wait on a Saturday at 10:30 am was about 40 minutes and they don't have the waitlist feature. They do take reservations for parties of 6 or more. It's spendier than traditional cafes but no more expensive than other GF options and all of their inputs are more expensive than traditional spots so that makes sense to me. In other words, this spot is more than worth the trip and the wait even if both are long because you will get good, safe food at a fair price.

Even though my time here was brief, I had a nice time here. Service was great and food was delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the dining room. I didn't have time for drinks, but I hear they have a nice selection of drinks in their bar and a great happy hour. The Macintosh is described as a neighborhood restaurant that serves modern American and Southern cuisine. It was once called Grassroots Kitchen & Tap before it got rebranded. They have a diverse menu with a lot of different choices. Shrimp and Grits, Barbecued Beef Ribs, a Chicken Salad and Po Boy Sandwiches are some of the standouts. I settled on the Rotisserie Chicken which came with a side of onion rings. I'm a big pesto fan and loved the buttermilk pesto for dipping. I had a nice time and look forward to a return visit. In addition to happy hour, The Macintosh has brunch on the weekends.

And if you don't know about their affiliation with the dog rescue Almost There, you should. From what I understand, Almost There came first and it sits behind the pizzeria across the parking lot. For our daughter's 16th birthday, we took her and ten friends to do puppy yoga. It was awesome and the girls had a great time. Plus the instructor Meg was super chill and the volunteers made sure the experience was enjoyable. Then we walked across the parking lot for an equally amazing lunch. Pizza to the Rescue isn't an ordinary pizza joint. Think elevated. The eclectic interior is hard to describe. It's got a mid-century modern vibe with a mix of boho and tiki lounge. Sitting at the bar, my wife and I took it all in, admiring the decor, sipping our adult beverages, and allowing the girls to celebrate behind us on the patio. The service was excellent. Our server, the bar tender, the busser, and others all worked together as a team. It was also a sight to see. Now the food was unexpectedly good. Seriously, our roasted artichoke heart appetizer belongs in a fine dining restaurant. And so does the pizza. The variety and creativity is impressive, and the pizzas were delicious! The best part of this is the fact that 25% of Pizza to the Rescue's proceeds go to Almost There. Do yourself a favor and go try the pizza. And maybe pick out a puppy to take home with your leftovers. This review was generated entirely by my brain and not AI.

The ambiance was nice and the service was good. I want to focus on the salads. As said, we ordered two of them and ate about half of each. Combined the leftovers in a container and took the rest home. Now this is the hard part to believe. As I was finishing my leftovers today, I found a metal object in my salad. It looks like a bolt and the metal coating easily rubs off. I didn't see anything on the container when we were given it so we suspect that it may have been in the salad. Thankfully we saw it but definitely was a freak situation.
