Working with them was very easy and convenient, especially because they're very responsive to inquiries made online and to taking customer calls. However, we called fairly last minute for our appointment, so the only issue was that they arrived late, but they still really worked with us on the pricing and everything in recompense, so I would still recommend them. Just have them come at a time when you can accommodate an arrival window/range and you aren't crunched for time, and hopefully you can make your appointment earlier beforehand than we did. read more

I would have given 5 stars but the driver couldn't make it to my place by the 2-4 pm time slot I scheduled because he got stuck in horrendous traffic. In addition, the shredder on the truck was jammed and he tried to fix it but couldn't. Slightly before 6 pm I got a call from him stating that he would not be able to do the job that day. I then asked if he could squeeze me in on the following day, Saturday, and thankfully he was able to accomodate my schedule. He showed up exactly on time on Saturday and within a few minutes my 10 boxes of shredding were completely gone. I do appreciate that Privacy Shred was able to schedule me the same say I called. My only suggestion is communication could be tightened up a bit when unforeseen circumstances like the one I experienced occur. It certainly would help to alleviate customer frustration. Overall I am very pleased with the final outcome and would use them again when needed. read more

Sadly, I was stood up two days in a row wasting hours of my time. No phone call to say they wouldn't be coming on the first day. On the second day I was clear I would wait until 7:00 PM. I waited until after 7:00 PM even though I should have left the sight at 2:00 P.M. I was assured he would be there by 7 or I would get a call. Neither happened. There is no excuse. Wish I didn't have to leave a star but the one would be for Engla who, indeed, was immediately responsive to my requests. Pity there was no follow-through. read more

I am basing my review solely on the customer service I received from Becky at Privacy Shred. I requested a quote online and received a phone call within 10 minutes. Becky went over the multiple options/services Privacy Shred provides and helped me determine which would be my best options, financially and convenience wise, when I am ready to get my shredding done. As I have not yet used Privacy Shed for my shredding needs I will update my review if I do. Thank you, Becky! read more

They told us that we could watch when they shredded and when they came they told us we couldn't watch because their viewer was broken. Now anyone else would have said when it's fixed come back. But they said it would be secure. If they tell you that you can't watch then don't do it. read more

We contacted Privacy Shred to take care of shredding 20 large banker boxes worth of paperwork at my business. I spoke with Becky and she was very friendly and extremely helpful. We set our appointment and the driver showed up on time and followed the instructions that we gave Becky for him to gain access to the property. The driver was professional and very polite. He was friendly as well. He took all of the paperwork out of the boxes and shredded everything and then stacked the boxes neatly out of the way. I was very impressed with their services. I highly recommend them. I will use Privacy Shred again, when needed. read more

I couldn't have been happier with the price and service I received at my neighborhood shredding event. Becky was great with scheduling and follow up. The truck was on time and ready to get to work right away. Alex and Andrew were absolutely wonderful in explaining everything and helping everyone with their bundles for shredding. They both made the entire experience not only painless but enjoyable. No need to shop around anymore. Privacy Shred definitely has my future business. read more

I contacted Privacy Shred as a new customer. I spoke with Becky who was very helpful and assured me that this would be an easy task. I was arranging for shredding at my medical office and needed to work around our patients. I was given an appointment for 9/24/18 sometime before noon. My staff pulled out all the boxes in preparation. Basically the truck was a no show. I was rescheduled for 9/25 and yet AGAIN no truck made it. I rescheduled one more time for Friday 8/28 put away all our boxes so that these were out of the way of patients. Friday, pulled everything out once again only to be stood up again. I called and was told that they were SO very sorry, but please give them one more chance, Tuesday, 10/2/18 before 4 they would arrive. Moved all the boxes AGAIN, and at 3:55 received a call that the driver would not be here. The excuse made from Privacy Shred was "the stars did not align for our shredding to happen and we are sorry". Appalling service - I get issues with trucks, staffing, traffic - I do NOT get their inability to communicate. A Simple phone call or in this case several phone calls would have made all the difference. Lesson learned........ I contacted another company last night at 430 pm and they arrived on my door this morning at 830 am just as promised. read more

After setting an appointment 2 weeks in advance and taking the day off from my job to be at home, this company did not even give me the courtesy of a phone call to tell me their truck was being serviced and would not be coming. After calling them and setting up another appointment for today, once again no call no show. read more

I had about 21 banker boxes in my garage to shred. I am a very busy company owner. I had my secretary contact Privacy Shred. I had a narrow window to meet the company in order to get the shredding done. My Secretary set up an appointment with them to be at my house. They gave her a window from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. As such I stayed at home wasting my time. By 11:00 no show, so I had my secretary call their office. No answer. She left a message, and no return phone call. At about 12:10 p.m still no arrival. I had my secretary call again. No answer. She left a second message. No return phone call. Finally at 1:00 p.m. my wife came home and took over the waiting duties for Privacy Shred. Before I left, I had my wife move her car out of the garage, and I neatly stacked all of the boxes from the back of the garage to the front of the garage so that it would be convenient for Privacy Shred and to ensure that my wife would not have to move boxes. When I returned back home two hours later, I opened the garage, and the boxes were disarranged and a large grey trash can was sitting in the middle of the garage. I asked my wife what happened? She said that the company finally showed up and started to shred my files; however, their machine and truck that does the shredding broke down on the first load. The operator, then asked my wife to assist in pushing some buttons to get the machine going as he tried to adjust it from the top. According to my wife the operator/employee was a very nice guy, and was apologetic. The machine did not work. As such, the employee, told her that he would leave and contact her directly to re-schedule. The result of this fiasco was that I wasted four precious hours of my day and I had to once again, move all the boxes plus their trash can out of the way so that my wife could get her car back in the garage. More importantly, it is now the next day and neither my wife nor my secretary have received a return call as to what the status is. Terrible, terrible service. read more
