You want to be comfortable with the person or team that's going to be working with you on the big day. First impressions are everything. To me that's where the comfort begins. We probably walked in 7 or 8 salons. The feeling we got with most of them with first impressions, were on the stuck up side. Didnt really feel like they wanted our business. More like we should be greatfull we walked in their door. About 2 or 3 were nice, showed interest in us and said they would call to better acclimate themselves with the information for the wedding. Now my thinking personally is, if you want someone's business, you show them great customer relations and attention. My fiances bridal party contains 10 woman. That's a lot of money to be made! It took a week for someone to get back with us. I called my wedding site coordinator and asked if she knew of a hair and make-up person in Napa. She said she was just in a wedding and loved this lady and recommended her. Her name is Cecilila of violet hour. She gave me her information and my fiancé called. So just on a phone call conversation, she was very interested and excited for the opportunity to work our wedding. She said she would call back with more information and a time to come and do a trial. She called back the next day to set up a trial with make-up as well. We get to the salon and its a cute little salon. Clean, vibrant and welcoming. She was a joy to talk to. As well as the make-up artist. This were first impressions are kicking in. My fiancé is feeling very comfortable with them and is very happy. I left during the trial session as to not see what the bride to be will look like in the veil and everything. But from her accounts she was thrilled. On my return she looked more beautiful than ever! Hair style was prestine and make-up just stunning. As we left Cecilia said she would call with price quotes for the bridesdmaids and bride. She called back in a couple days with the pricing and it was very very reasonable. We booked her for our wedding and glad to have met her. The wedding hasn't arrived yet, so can't review day of wedding stuff, but on a first impression status she is a 5 star all the way.
