Be Aware of Pristine Plumbing! My elderly mother who is a resident of Laguna Woods Village (senior living) had an urgent plumbing leak and Pristine Plumbing took advantage of her age and ignorance. As a new customer, I made the initial call and spoke to a very nice woman who kindly scheduled an immediate house call on a Saturday afternoon. Jacob (the plumber) arrived in time with adequate COVID precautions. What happened next though, in my opinion, is shameful! Rather than fully assessing the cause of the leak, Jacob (without tools) reported that it was "broken in two places" and needed to be replaced. He informed her that if repaired "properly" it would cost over $900. He then left her to continue dealing with the leak and proceeded to email a repair quote totaling $923. My 80-year-old mother who is renting the apartment and on a fixed income smelled foul play as her faucet is only 6-months old and therefore not likely "broken in two places". I then called my plumber friend who traveled from San Diego and quickly discovered that the cartridge under the handle was slightly loose and with a quarter turn completely fixed the plumbing leak. I paid him for his time (no parts) and saved my mom $800. I felt personally responsible for subjecting her to a stranger entering her house at the height of a pandemic only to discover that she would then be taken advantage of because of her age. I did speak to the owner of Pristine who was very kind and seemed genuinely apologetic, however, as I explained to him this is a serious issue compounded with the pandemic threatening our most vulnerable senior population. The responsibility falls squarely on his shoulders whether it's hiring, training, or company culture, there is no excuse and my hope is that this wake-up call helps him develop checks and balances to ensure that his team puts integrity before profit. read more

He helped me unclog a drain and also flushed the tankless water heater. I was hesitant about the initial quote for the tankless water heater and I shared a competitor's quote with him. Auxariera called the office to inquire about any promotions on my behalf. He then called his Manager to get approval for a discount. We were turned off by a pushy technician Joseph M, therefore we didn't go forward with the service. He came to our house at 10PM on Friday night regarding a leak in one of the bathroom. After giving us an estimate, he was asking if he could stay and do the job for 4-5 hours into the night, even though the problem was not critical and that it could wait until next week. At first we thought he was kidding, but he kept on insisting and asked if our neighbor would be OK with the noise. When we realized he was serious. We were shocked because that sounded so strange. What kind of business is this? Is it a normal practice for this company to have technicians stay at the customer's house to do the non emergency work overnight? To have 2 perfect strangers in our house late at night for hours. How would that be OK with anyone? Not only it was unethical and unprofessional but it was also not normal. But that was not all. Before he left, he asked us to give him a review. We told him that we'll give him a review after the job is done, in which we scheduled him to come back next week, due to the fact that he hasn't work on anything yet for us to write a review about. When that failed, he then asked for video review, he wanted to video tape us on his phone. He showed us some samples and stressed that his company had a contest and today was the last day. He kept on pressuring us in front of our kid, in our own living room late at night, over a review, for the job that hasn't been done. Are you serious? He made us feel so uncomfortable. That made us wonder if any of this is true and this is how you conduct your business. You need to be more professional and show more respect to your customers. Very disappointed!!! read more

Ryan did a wonderful job replacing the pipes. Having said that, it's been difficult for me to understand the price structure for the work done. At most, the pvc pipes that was used to replace the old ones would cost $30. That would leave the balance of $812.21. So the labor cost for two hours works out to about $400 per hour. Certainly more than what I pay my attorney, my accountant and my primary care physician. The decision to use your company is one me. Perhaps I should done my due diligence in researching what plumber rates are or should have requested other quotes. Again, not to take away from the quality of Ryan's work, it's the pricing structure is what I can't get over. Ryan also provided a quote to replace the kitchen faucet, which was way more than the cost of the actual Moen faucet. I opted not to get that done due to the price shock. This is my opinion and nothing to do with the quality of work performed by your technician. He provided me quotes for water softener installation and carbon filter and high pressure pipe cleaning. They're great, but way, way, way too ridiculously expensive compared to what I've read and seen from other plumbing companies. At this point, due to your overly expensive services, I can't recommend your services to friends, neighbors and especially the consumers that will be reading this review. What you're doing is highway robbery and a scam. read more

I worked with Drew and Elias G. from Pristine Plumbing who installed a new hot water tank heater at my residence in Irvine in March 2023. I have worked Pristine before and they are always timely and professional. They are never late. Their prices are extremely reasonable given that you can rely on them. They always ensure to wear booties when they go into my premises. Elias was especially helpful in answering my questions and forwarding me any necessary information like the estimates, specs of the water heater, and rebate information. Elias also mentioned the option of going with tankless hot water heater but I stuck with the tank instead. I had an issue with the gas pipe and Elias explained to me how we should fix it. In the end we got the gas pipe fixed with Elias' help. I recommend Pristine Plumbing highly. I have worked with other plumbers who are late, never pick up the phone for a follow questions, etc. These prior experiences never occur with Pristine Plumbing. read more

I had an old faucet that was rusted and stuck and I couldn't remove so I called Pristine Pluming. Elias came and spent 1.5 hours to remove the old faucet and install the new one. It was hard work to remove the old faucet but Elias succeeded. There was a small leak and I asked Pristine Pluming to return and they scheduled to return the next day. Fortunately the leak only happened right after we used the faucet the first time and stopped leaking after that. Elias and Pristine Pluming did a great job. read more
