I was at Charlotte Perio on Monday. I personally am not a fan of dental offices (scary). However,…read morethis team of people were amazing in every way! I believe they've changed my mind on Dental work. I had a nearly 2.5 hour procedure and feel like I was taken care of every step of the way in the process. The care, commitment and personal touch really went over the top! Kristen P. was the person I spent nearly 2.5 hours with and I can say she was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this location to anyone needed dental work done!! Again, thank you. Charlotte Perio for an amazing visit!

I had a gum graft done with Dr. Corwin and did not have a good experience. My consultation went…read morewell, but the day of the procedure, neither Dr. Corwin or the nurse, Regina, went over what exactly would happen. I had to ask specific questions to find out the process and what the recovery would be like, which was fine, but I would have appreciated a bit of explanation upfront. During the procedure, my mouth was numb but the numbing wore off towards the end and I could feel one of the stitches being put in. It brought me to tears and was painful. As a word of caution, the procedure is uncomfortable in general, where you can sense the cutting, there is a lot of pressure and stitches are flopped onto your face while they are being put in. If I were to have this procedure done again, I would opt for the anesthesia. I am not one to mind dental cleanings or procedures but this is an uncomfortable one. After the procedure, the nurse offered to bring me Advil, but because I was numb, I wasn't able to swallow the water to take it. The nurse laughed about the situation which really upset me, especially in the state I was in. When it came time for payment, the office staff did not have record of which payment option I had selected, even though I had called after my consultation to schedule my procedure and let them know my payment selection. So I had a bit of scrambling trying to recall what my husband and I had decided on payment wise, as I thought it would be on file and wouldn't be something I needed to worry about the day of the procedure. The doctor and staff were friendly and tried to make the best of the situation, but I will not be returning to Charlotte Perio for the second round of gum grafting, given the experience I had.
