For all of my life, due to bad experiences as a child, I have always put off going to a Dentist. Not the case here. While I don't look forward to someone poking in my mouth, I don't dread and avoid it either. I was in a a lot of pain, and was crying almost the whole time. I was a little embarrassed, but the hygienist/tech was very sweet to me and comforting. The dentist himself was also very nice and calming, they were both understanding and made sure to explain what was going on. They prescribed me antibiotics for the pain until I can get my procedure to fix the issue!

The fear was so strong that I didn't go in for even a cleaning for an embarrassing amount of years (yes I said years). My husband and I moved to Huntersville and he started going to Dr. Marra for cleanings. After a year or so of my husband going, I finally gave in and made an appointment. My husband mentioned my fear to the staff and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. They were constantly checking in with me to make sure I was okay, offered to break at any time, held my hand for nova cane shots haha. Fast forward to multiple visits of fillings and cleanings and I actually look forward to going to the dentist. The staff is absolutely amazing. Tabatha at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. Nicole, the hygienist, is funny, easy to talk to, and so fantastic at her job. She's so gentle and is super thorough. So, when it comes to my teeth being healthy and looking good I trust Dr. Wurmlinger 100%. I inherited my Daddy's bad genes when it comes to my teeth. I do what I'm told, "brush twice or 3 times a day and floss, etc.," but it seems like I'm always having an issue. Dr. Wurmlinger is never surprised when it comes to my teeth, God bless his heart. At least, he doesn't show me if he's panicking. He's always been so kind and encouraging and supportive, especially when I'm freaking out. I've even had to call him over the weekend for a tooth emergency. Thank God I wasn't in pain, but I'd lost my front temporary tooth so I couldn't leave my house until it was fixed. It was on a Friday in the late afternoon and he was on his way to Virginia. He asked me if I could meet him at the office Saturday morning. When I got there Saturday morning, one of his very talented assistants was there, as well as him. He had come all the back home from his trip just to help me glue my temporary tooth back on to get me through the weekend. I don't know anyone else who's going to do that for a patient. He didn't have to take time to think about it. He heard my message and knew he was coming home to help me. To get that kind of priceless service and the level of perfectionism that he provides is such a rare commodity, especially these days. I appreciate him more than he'll ever know, and I'll never see another dentist. I hope he doesn't plan on retiring during my lifetime. Without question, he is THE BEST.
