When my husband finally saw Dr. Gibbs, he expressed his displeasure at being left to wait with no explanation. Dr. Gibbs was stunned! He didn't even KNOW that he was running an hour late!! He brushed it off with the comment that "There had been an emergency" (uh huh...) After all that, Dr. Gibbs refused to go ahead and treat my husband! He simply fired us! Appointment On Short Notice…read more I reached out to Dr. Haines who is my general dentist on short notice after I felt some sort of infection after having a wisdom tooth pulled at another office. Apparently, I was traveling a few days after my wisdom tooth was extracted and on the 5th day my mouth started to feel irritated and inflamed. Once I returned home, it was time to call and make an appointment for an oral evaluation, which was on the same day I called. After taking antibiotics and thoughly cleaning my teeth, the discomfort subsided, but I still attended to my scheduled appointment with Dr Haines. The wait time was minimal, which is usual at this office, and Cassidy took me to the examination room, listened to my concerns and took some x-rays for review. Dr. Haines took a good look, gently tapped a tooth or two to ensure I was not in any pain. He reassured me that my remaining teeth were in good shape. Most likely I had failed to keep the area clean, which was still healing from the pulled tooth. The antibiotics helped, but I made doubly sure to clean the area after every meal, and so far so good. Thank you Dr. Haines and Staff! I really appreciate the care and attention I have received.

Initially, I found it odd that a plastic surgeon was also an oral surgeon but there were no issues. Dr. Haigney called the next morning to check on her status. As a mother, T]this made me feel really good. If there were any issues with my daughter, I would have been able to address them with him directly. However, she had no issues. Her pain today (2 days later) is minimal and she had a cheeseburger today. It was great to see take 30 minutes to eat a meal; I hope this tradition continues. :) As with all dental surgery, know that you will have prescriptions to drop off and pick up immediately after to ensure the minimum pain level is maintained on behalf of the patient. This was not the case for me personally (with a surgeon in Greensboro) but is specifically important when your wisdom teeth are extracted.

My wife recommended me to Dr. Langdon's office and I have not been disappointed. The staff is friendly as you arrive to check in, and Lauren, the hygienist I had was super professional and explained most things to me beforehand to see if I had any questions. It had been close to two years since my last appointment, so some follow-up work was needed (woof). It was very easy to schedule and Dr. Langdon was super quick when doing my fillings. I highly recommend him to anyone in the market for a dentist.

First, I really appreciate how the staff know who I am, even though I only come in once every 6 months. It means a lot that they engage in conversation and genuinely care about me. The facility is beautiful and very welcoming, although I never get to wait in the lobby because all my appointments have started on-time. This really helps me plan my work day appropriately. Amber is the hygienist I usually see and she is excellent. We always have great conversations that pick up right where we left off last time. Dr. Langdon himself is fantastic! After my very first visit, Dr. Langdon personally called to see how I was doing and thank me for coming in. I always feel like I'm getting excellent care and a straight-forward, honest opinion. Last year, I needed a crown (yes, I'm putting that out there!). At no point did I question his judgement of whether I needed the crown, as I had a pretty deep cavity in a tooth that could not be repaired with a filling. Dr. Langdon has advanced technology that allows him to design the crown, custom-make the crown, and install it all in one visit. No temps and no follow-up appointments. I was all set in one day and have not had any problems since then. I will continue to see Dr. Langdon and his incredible staff. Thank you for taking good care of me!

Five-Star Review for Drs. Lanz, Nason & Lopez, DDS, MS, PA - Gastonia, NC…read more I want to sincerely THANK the entire team at the Periodontal Office of Drs. Nason & Lopez in Gastonia, NC. I recently had to undergo a deep cleaning--a procedure I've unfortunately had to endure at least four times before. Let's just say, it's never been something I've looked forward to. Add to that a history of unpleasant dental experiences and the retirement of my long-time dentist, and I had truly grown fearful of even routine cleanings. I stayed with my former dental office out of familiarity, but with a rotating staff of dentists and hygienists, it never quite felt right. After being referred to a periodontist once again and letting another year slip by in fear... I finally took a leap and began searching for new specialists in my area. That's when I found Drs. Nason & Lopez, and I'm so grateful I did. From the very first phone call, I felt seen and heard. The person who answered had the warmest, most comforting voice -- like a sweet grandma -- and she truly listened to my story. She found me an appointment quickly, and just a week later, I was in their office. And WOW... every single person I encountered was incredibly kind, professional, and personable. The energy in the office was warm and reassuring. Even the woman who took my X-rays was amazing -- gentle and patient. The periodontist clearly explained every step of my treatment and the timeline ahead. I didn't have a single question because everything was communicated so well. For the first time in a long time, I felt completely at ease. Now... I must give a special shoutout to my hygienist, KATIE -- an absolute rock star! She made both of my appointments smooth, gentle, and (believe it or not) enjoyable. Her playlist was so good I almost wanted to sing and dance -- while she was scraping! That's how soothing and skilled she was. This was by far the most comfortable deep cleaning I've ever had. I'm beyond thankful I found this office. They've restored not only my gum health but also my confidence in dental care. I wish them continued success -- they're truly in the right profession, and it shows in everything they do. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.....

My consultation went…read morewell, but the day of the procedure, neither Dr. Corwin or the nurse, Regina, went over what exactly would happen. I had to ask specific questions to find out the process and what the recovery would be like, which was fine, but I would have appreciated a bit of explanation upfront. During the procedure, my mouth was numb but the numbing wore off towards the end and I could feel one of the stitches being put in. It brought me to tears and was painful. As a word of caution, the procedure is uncomfortable in general, where you can sense the cutting, there is a lot of pressure and stitches are flopped onto your face while they are being put in. If I were to have this procedure done again, I would opt for the anesthesia. I am not one to mind dental cleanings or procedures but this is an uncomfortable one. After the procedure, the nurse offered to bring me Advil, but because I was numb, I wasn't able to swallow the water to take it. The nurse laughed about the situation which really upset me, especially in the state I was in. When it came time for payment, the office staff did not have record of which payment option I had selected, even though I had called after my consultation to schedule my procedure and let them know my payment selection. So I had a bit of scrambling trying to recall what my husband and I had decided on payment wise, as I thought it would be on file and wouldn't be something I needed to worry about the day of the procedure. The doctor and staff were friendly and tried to make the best of the situation, but I will not be returning to Charlotte Perio for the second round of gum grafting, given the experience I had.
