He discovered a slab leak and listed several options. He is probably one of the most "real one's" there are out there. He does not just come to do a job, but genuinely cares about each of his customers. He tries to establish a relationship with his customers by making it feel like he is taking care of a family member. He tries to get to know you and is willing to hold a conversation with you and hear you out. Plumbing issues can be very expensive and Stephen is sensitive to that. It is never a great time to get plumbing work done, but Stephen is there to talk with you, hear you out, and just be someone who genuinely cares about the customer. I will be using Jim and Son's for any plumbing needs in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone. I wish I remembered the name of the other plumber that helped him out during the job, but he was awesome as well. Again, he understood the importance of customer service and making sure that customers are left with a great experience in addition to getting the work done. 6/5 stars if I could.

That's when I searched for a local family owned company that Had good reviews. Jims was straight to the point. Stephen came out and methodically figured out what pipe the leak was coming from. He showed me proof and explained it to me. It was under the cement slab in our garage. I was not happy about the possibility of tearing out concrete. He suggested running the pipe above ground where it would be accessible. He rerouted the line and used materials that saved me money. Instead of taking several days, it was done by lunch. I cant say enough good things about these guys. They really helped me out of a scarey spot. I highly reccomend them. They are ethical, honest and don't waste time. I owe them my thanks.

Jonathan came out and confirmed that that was indeed true. Everything seemed to be going well. Jonathan was very friendly and polite. When it came time for the estimate, he told me it was going to be just under $3,000. That seemed like quite a lot to me for just changing out a blower motor and a capacitor. He also told me that my Rheem furnace couldn't take just any old blower motor and he had to order one special. He said that his company doesn't deal with Rheem because their parts are hard to get. I reluctantly agreed to the repair, which he said would probably take place the next day. Later, he called and said the part wasn't going to arrive for a whole week. This was during one of the hottest weeks of the year in Southern California and I certainly didn't want to be without air conditioning, which runs through my furnace and needs the blower motor. I asked him what my other options were. He told me the only other option I had was to get a whole new system. He explained that he could install the system in only 2 days time or I could wait a whole week and have him repair the blower motor. He also mentioned a 10 year warranty with 1 or 2 years of service from his company. I asked him about the brand and quality of the Furnace that he intended on selling me, which was going to be almost $8,000. He told me it was better than my current system brand and I asked to get it in writing so I could do some research. After not receiving anything in writing I called his company and requested the same thing from them. Shortly after the conversation with his company I received an email specifying the make and model of the new furnace. I researched online and discovered a few interesting things. Number one, Jonathan had lied to me about Rheem parts. I found out from my online research that Reem takes Universal parts and I would not have had to wait until the next week to receive a blower motor that would fit. I also discovered that blower motors and capacitors cost nowhere near $3,000 to install. And finally, the brand of the new furnace that was recommended by Jonathan was nowhere near the quality of the Rheem furnace that I already owned. I canceled the job immediately with the company and again with Jonathan when he called me to find out what was going on. I am still waiting for my refund on the deposit! My contractor friend and I went to an HVAC store and purchased a universal blower motor and capacitor for $180... and installed it ourselves in a couple hours. The system is working perfectly. I don't recommend this business at all. I'm completely confused on why they have such a good rating on Yelp, which is why I picked them to begin with. This was a clear case of trying to take advantage of an old lady in a wealthy neighborhood. Shame on them!! Update: I received a full refund of my deposit and the service fee was completely waived. I got a nice apology from the owner and a manager.

He quickly diagnosed our water pressure issue--our main valve was sitting at a dangerous 100 PSI--and installed a new 1-inch Zurn Wilkins regulator (our old one was 24 years old!). He also performed a hydro-jetting service on our main line to clear out all the debris. Giovanni was polite, professional, upfront with pricing, and worked incredibly efficiently. I also really appreciate the client portal they supply--it made it super easy to view my paid invoices and will be great for keeping track of any future estimates all in one place. The whole job was completed for a very fair price with great warranties included. It's rare to find plumbers this honest, organized, and thorough. The control switch was not working properly and it appears to have something broken inside the switch. The second was the bathtub was dripping for months. Our property manager gave us some recommendation on handyman, and we reached out to a few others. Everyone of the handyman looked at the issues and said they couldn't do it. Javier from R&R was professional and friendly. He came, looked at the problems and gave us multiple options. We were told that our bathroom fixtures were on the older end, and replacement parts would be pretty slim. Javier said he would try his best to find ways to fix our problems, and if it can't be fix, then he would have to go with the full remove and replace option. Needless to say, the cheaper option would be less than half the price of the worst case scenario. We were presented with the cheaper options to be less than $1000, while the worst case scenario would be in the mid $2000 with our drywall cut open in order to do the fixture replacement. We would also had to then deal with redoing the drywall since that is not part of the company's scope of work. Javier came back after we accepted the estimate and was able to fix everything faster than I thought. To my surprised, he was able to find the replacement parts and fix everything. My experience with Javier and R&R has been exceptional. I highly recommend R&R to anyone with plumbing issue like i had.

These guys really know what they are doing! Jason was awesome! He was really great to talk to and competent. It appeared to be time to get a new water heater and I wanted a better one than I already had. Jason understood I wanted one that would last as long as possible and installed the best water heater for my needs as possible. He also gave me a really good deal on a 10 year warranty! Of course afterwards I had a few questions regarding my warranty and water heater. Jason responded quickly and with lots of patience. John was upfront and honest, letting us know there would be an additional $300 charge for after-hours service and suggesting we wait until the morning if it wasn't an emergency. Gavin called to let me know he was running behind due to traffic and provided an updated arrival time, even though he was still within the original service window. That level of communication is rare and greatly appreciated. After troubleshooting the issue, Gavin took the time to call and clearly explain what he found, where the blockage was located, and what caused it. What impressed me most was that he didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs or suggest replacing the entire drain system. Instead, he explained the issue, resolved it, and simply made me aware of a potential future concern so I could keep it on my radar as preventative maintenance. I originally just wanted the wax seal replaced in hopes that would fix it but Anthony told me there could be a hairline crack or roots growing in the sewer line. I chose to have them install a second toilet in my house and Anthony was absolutely correct, roots were definitely growing . I totally recommend this company to my neighbors as they are always there to answer the phone when help is immediately needed. I was given the quote over the phone and they did not do like other companies that Jack up the price once they start the job. Thank you Anthony, another outstanding job.

My problem with Medina Plumbing is right on the owners manual it states that that water heater should not be installed in mobile homes which is what I have. Dana responded through Manny "that is the water heater they gave me". Who? What store? I got no response back from them. Because of this I may be put into a predicament with my insurance and building code. As far as the pilot replacement part Manny quoted me this outrageous price on the part which I can get so much cheaper. When I brought up these questions to Medina Plumbing I am not getting any response back. I will never use them again. They are not trustworthy!

Maybe it was just "One of those jobs". But in any case, I'm not sure I would call them up as the first choice next time. 1) They misdiagnosed a simple pin hole leak from a copper pipe inside a wall but instead insisted it was an expensive slab leak from our foundation. 2) They spent about an hour or so cutting a huge unnecessary hole in our commercial kitchen wall in the wrong place and couldn't find a leak or any dampness. 3) They left and said they couldn't find or stop the leak. 4) Frustrated, we ended up finding the pin hole leak ourselves and temporarily stopped it in about 15 minutes flat for about $15. 5) We actually had to show them where to cut the hole (in the damp wall) in the correct place when they returned. So now there were two holes on both sides of the wall to patch up. 6) They refused to provide an itemized invoice until we demanded it. 7) They don't respond to emails or messages once the job is "done" and they just want the payment without any questions or follow-up. 9) They did finally ending up getting the job done & provided an itemized invoice. 10) In our opinion, their itemized invoice showed that they grossly overcharged us for parts. 11) As much as we love to support small businesses, this job was overall very frustrating when we felt it could have been much simpler.

Upper and lower level on two thermostats…read more About 2 months ago I had Nexgen come out and after they charged me over $1000 for parts on a 5 year old unit the problem was not solved. I had another company out as well that could not figure out the problem. After calling the home builder I found out about BWR. Skeptical, I called them. I had to wait a week for an appointment but it ended up being well worth it. Efrain and Paul came over. Asked a ton of questions and got busy. Within 30 min he had a solution to my problem. Within 1 hour my system was fixed and I paid a small service call fee. Wow.... Businesses like this still exists! Efrain and Paul are 2 fine young men that really care about making the customer happy. I've been in a service related field for over 30 years and it's rare to meet people like this. Oh, he did mention that the company was good to him and treats their employees well. I could see it even without him telling me. So for HVAC go to BWR and ask for Efrain and Paul. You may have to wait but you won't be sorry. As for Nexgen. Now I know why you need giant billboards all over town.
