This company is truely useless. Its regular trash truck in my area (Scio Township, Michigan) missed its regular pickup date - Friday and did it on Saturday instead. I understand it. They accidentally missed to pick up my trash from my trash bin on Satuday (August 3). I also understand that it may happen. So, I called their office on Saturday, but no one was there. I understand that since it's weekends. I called on Monday (August 5) and Tuesday (August 6); at both occasions, a person picked up my call after long waits and promised to clean my trash bin at the respective date. Now, it's Wednesday, but the trash bin is still outside my residence without being vacated. Anything wrong with my request or this company? Why did my township selected this company and its previous one (GFL) even with higher rate but worse service? read more

Going on SIX WEEKS of our garbage piling up on our rural road in Whitmore Lake. Have spent over 2 hours collectively on hold over 11 phones calls, three Customer Service online requests and STILL no one can tell me when they will be picking up my trash. Priority Waste wasn't even aware Whitmore Lake had a route until 4 weeks in despite my many calls. I am a private pay customer paid up through November. The raccoons and other wild animals are helping themselves to the pile nightly, requiring daily cleanups to put it all back into bags. There are flies everywhere. This is unsanitary, dangerous for my dogs and completely unacceptable. They better send us our own truck to pick up this mess-if it ever happens. ZERO RATING. read more

A few weeks ago I came home and my recycling bin had been demolished, it was replaced by my township at no charge. On the next pickup the operator decided to pick up my bin drive forward and place the empty bin dead center in my driveway so I could not pull in. Little did he know I was right behind him as he was doing it. When I asked him why he decided to do that, he got upset and asked me if I wanted his job. WTF read more

I've heard the issues others have been having with Priority Waste and I don't discredit them. But my experience has been great. The last several years GFL had horrible issues with pick up, customer service, etc. As soon as Priority Waste took over, my lackluster services have improved tremendously. If I could give this company zero stars I would! I contacted the company in June to stop the service the house is vacant I sold the house it closes on July 10th. I was told to give the name of the owner and or scan the bill of sale! It's on your own invoice Current Resident the new owner name isn't your business! Most importantly I contacted you to stop the service in JUNE and send the final bill. Not surprisingly you didn't do either and kept billing me for a house I sold in July! Really, a zero rating. Priority Waste damaged our yard last fall, trying to get to our dumpster. The driver, however, drove past the dumpster, onto some grass and got stuck. Then he tore up the grass trying to get out. He also knocked down a power line. I made a damage report and was told by the corporate attorney they would fix the damage. Four months later, they're refusing to make the repairs. We made a change to regular residential service, however, they never picked up the trash on the day of service - for three weeks in a row. I had to call each week to get them to do what we paid them to do. Now, we're using another company. Smaller, but much more professional. Priority is just a shameful, rinky-dink company. Be careful when dealing with this company. The sales representative won't tell you about the cancellation, & hidden fees. There's all kinds of hidden charges when you cancel services. They try to lock you in. I sold my auto repair business to an oil change company. They are under construction so they brought big dumpsters. The construction will take 3-4 months so in the mean time priority is not needed until then. They decided to charge us 362.59 container pick up fee after being a loyal customer. Highly not recommended, Andreana Cvetkovska is no help, she was supposed to speak to her manager 10 days ago. Never did, & never got back with us. I ended up paying the 362.59 they sent me a confirmation to my email. As I was checking the email I see they ran my card again for one dollar as well as the 362.59. Scammers read more

The actual garbage guys are great. I live at the end of a dead-end street and street and they always pick it up. The office sends me a "TEMPORARY SERVICE INTERRUPTION" email and phone call every billing cycle even though the bill is paid. When you call you end up on hold for an inordinate amount of time before giving up and then have to send them proof of payment via email from their own website. When you suggest they should be able to keep track of payments they have accepted you get some idiotic response. I will be searching for a new company prior to the next quarter. read more

I put my trash out the night before pickup as I normally do, recycling picked up but somehow the waste hauler missed my house. I called to inform them and someone picked up that night but not without attitud. he drove the truck into a tree branch which broke it off and marked my garbage can that I didn't set it out on time. Priority Waste pickup is unreliable. Twice they didn't show up until the following day and last week they never picked up my recycling at all. I paid my yearly priority waste bill for the year. My neighbor told us that you can get a discount because we are seniors. I called, and the woman explained its too late because we paid the whole bill but that it can be good for next year. She said just send in a copy of your drivers license as proof of identification. Their crew drove right past my garbage can without bothering to stop two days ago, though they collected all of the rest of the garbage on my block. They also skipped a few full blocks nearby. I ordered and paid for a dumpster to be delivered and removed 1 week later and was quoted $455. A month later, I was billed an additional $100 for a dig-out fee apparently because some items were either lodged in the dumpster or frozen. I own a lot of properties/apartment buildings and regularly hire disposal companies and have never been charged additional fees, especially when they are making the call themselves and don't have to document their reasoning. I will not hire these guys again. I never thought I would be charged hidden fees by a trash company. read more

This company has charged my card 3 times after cancellation. Charging an additional "surprise $250" for pickup of the dumpster which I have had for 5 years and never agreed to. 12 phone calls in already (not kidding). It's a nightmare. Stay away. My account was acquired by Priority Waste from GFL on 07/1/2024. GFL missed my last pick up on 6/28/2024. I called and emailed GFL a number of times and they still did not pick up my trash. I called GFL on 07/01/204 about the missed trash pick up and they said, "Oh, that is so unfortunate but we no longer provide residential service and your problem is now the responsibility of Priority Waste." I then called Priority Waste and they basically said "Too bad" that was GFL's responsibility and your trash will not be collected until 07/06/2024. I then called Duncan Disposal on 07/01/2024 to set up a new service/account and they came out the very next day 07/02/2024, picked up my trash that had been sitting there since 6/28/2024 and dropped off two new trash cans for me. Since then, I have been calling and sending emails to Priority Waste asking how I can cancel my account and receive a refund for the money that I paid to GFL. To date, they have not respond to my email messages and when I call they continue to tell me they will get back with me but they never do. So happy to get rid of Priority Waste as well as the unreliable GFL. read more

This is a horrible company. If I could give negative stars, I definitely would. They have damaged my coral gate three times and give me a hard time when I want them to repair what they caused. Once, was their driver putting his truck directly into the gate; it was witnessed. The latest damage has not been repaired and I had to hire it fixed. They require payment in advance prior to their service being performed, and when they don't pick up for a couple weeks, good luck receiving a credit for services that they did not provide that were paid. That, along with their ridiculous price increases! They continue to raise their fees and their service declines. Avoid this company if at all possible. They are definitely not worth the aggravation that they will most certainly cause you. Calling their customer service is a joke. Priority Waste demonstrates predatory practices in the execution of their business practices. They "acquired" our former waste company, Local Waste. Less than 6 months later they raised our disposal rates 20%. This increase was based upon fictitious data, basically their fuel surcharge was based upon 2004 prices. My neighbor was charged $76 for recycling & waste disposal, our cost would have been $82 for just waste disposal. Of course Priority Waste knows they have a virtual monopoly in our area, and have priced accordingly. My advice is to find another reputable company that respects your business and all senior citizens should beware. I would have given them a zero if it was possible. read more

This was a review I should have posted over row month ago. Ordered a dumpster and had to contact them again to "reorder" it. The staff seemed to not know how to do their job. Once we did receive the dumpster they didn't offer to put wood underneath it to not damage the driveway. So my conclusion is that there are way too many good places to rent dumpsters that I will not recommend this place to anyone.
