call this morning for a 11 to 1 scheduled pick up Minimum pick up is $158 over the phone but then it becomes $1000 when the guys show up. The tactic is to call their manager, who then wants to argue on the phone with you. Sadly, I've used these guys before and didn't have a problem but today especially Mother's Day weekend when they were running a special ad to calm you. . They were out to scam you. Had a simple 50 gallon scrap water heater needing removal. They offered $148. This water heater was already sitting on the driveway. Totally ridiculous pricing which equaled absolute gouging. Will not recommend them in the future at all. Scrappers ended up taking it from the curb for nothing. read more

My mom needed to exchange beds due to a recent illness. The old bed needed to be replaced with a hospital bed, so the pickup and delivery needed to take place within 30 minutes of one another. The 800 Junk customer service team was friendly, cordial and responsive. When I asked for an estimate of the costs, I was told it was variable and depended on the size of the pickup. I asked for an estimate based on the size of the bed and told them it was a King size bed to give myself some cushion. I was given an estimate of $99. 00. The pickup team was 30 minutes late, resulting in the hospital bed team having to wait. The team arrived and asked if I was familiar with the pricing policy, I said yes and was told the estimate was $99. They told me that the actual price was $328 although the bed was smaller than the size previously given. They said that the rep probably quoted based on the mattress alone and didn't account for the frame and headband of the queen size bed. Given the situation and my mom's immediate need, I had to pay the final estimate. I felt that this was a to classic bait and switch and wouldn't recommend this service based on the pricing model. The fact that they are a referral partner of the Salvation Army implies some trust, so extra deceiving. read more

first off the guys were supposed to show up between 12-2 . they showed up. at 3:45. I did not have much for them to move. 2 standard mattresses with box springs - 2 chairs , 3 small nightstands a coffee table glass top. and a wooden table top. 2 headboards .They wanted over 650.00 and that was with a discount of 10% because they were. late.. I said no way !!! 200.00 for all of it I said. Nope they only took the mattresses and box springs from standard sz beds.and the glass table top . WHAT A RIP OFF ! Never ever again. Terrible service very unprofessional company was assigned a specific room to throw out bags which they still proceeded to leave the bags and they were in the wrong room and threw my whole wardrobe away and now I'm without clothes so that's $10,000 worth of clothes down the drain and the general manager isn't trying to replace any of my clothes or give me money to reimburse that he refunded at the job that they did and I was it I haven't got any money for all my clothes that have been thrown in a compactor that I can't replace read more

This company showed up on a Saturday to remove junk from my basement. One of the movers was very obese ( over 300 lbs.) so I was a little leery about how much he could do.... This was in no way attacking the gentleman, but I was concerned about his physical capabilities. To make a long story short these 2 me came in and made a big deal about what needed to be removed from my basement.... Suggested that I get a different quote from another company! It ended with them taking some of the junk not all of it. I had to "Barter" with them and tell them how to pack the truck to get the most of the space that I was paying them for. It was ridiculous, to say the least. I called the company after they left and told of my experience. I was told that someone was going to contact me by Monday. I got a generic email sent to me and have yet to hear from someone from this stifling company. I am not all about slamming anyone but I was willing to pay the cost for a full truckload and these sorry-ass workers didn't want to do the job! The thing that I love about my money is that it will spend anywhere. I would pay Lamont from "Sanford and Son" before I use this company again. Buyer beware! Got Junk does not have a formal process for paying for things they damage. After the operations manager backed his truck up into the house and broke the siding, I spent three months doing what they asked me to do, calling customer service and in the end, was told I was not telling them the truth, that is looks like I made up the invoice and they would only pay for the amount they "deemed" appropriate. This was a very upsetting experience over a few mattresses. read more

The crew works incredibly fast, but with attention to detail. They found old photos hidden in a book that we were not aware of. Very respectful of delicate situations and feelings. I highly recommend Tim and his staff, they were wonderful! read more
