Never use this company if you can help it. Unfortunately, they have a contract with Broward county or some of the cities and if you are in an auto accident, you will be pressured to use this company. They made it as difficult as possible for me to get my car released from them, telling me I had to come down in person to sign for my car to be taken to another repair shop. Other towing companies allow you to do that online, but this one wants to make sure you show up in person - which is hard to do since you don't have your car! This is so they can pressure you into getting your car fixed with them. I spoke with the sales guy, and he tried to tell me lies about the repair shop that my insurance company had recommended. But I called them from his office because I had already talked to them and they seemed a lot nicer than these people, and asked them if what he was saying was true, and it wasn't. They even put it in writing to me in an email immediately upon my request - and the guy at Westway Towing kept trying to tell me the other place would rip me off, etc. If a repair shop tries to get my business by trying to badmouth someone else it puts my back up. If they were really reputable, they would simply tell me how wonderful they are instead of trying to put me off the "other guy". Not only that, but while I was there in the waiting room I got to see and hear how they dealt with their other customers who were coming to pick up their cars that were either repaired or had been towed there. They were rude, nasty, and used demeaning language to talk to them, and about them, and we were sitting right there. The person cashing out would not even let me get my car until I had spoken with the "sales manager" so he could try to talk me into using their repair shop. I felt bullied and lied to, and the guy came off very sleazy like a bad used car salesman. Especially when I called the other shop to verify what he was saying, and it turned out to be all lies. By the way, I used Atlantic Coast Collision and am very happy with them. So glad I did NOT use this company! I think the ratings that they are getting from other people must either be friends or employees, or someone they bribed. This place is truly terrible with customer service. I got in an accident the day before we evacuated for Hurricane Irma. The accident wasn't my fault, and it was my first accident. During the week I was evacuated I was trying to sort things out with the other insurance company, the officer, etc. The short of it is this. The day I came back from evacuation, I got on the phone with Westway to schedule a time to come get stuff out of my car and remove it from the lot. Two days in a row, I called and they didn't have power. The girls who answered told me to go over and check to see if someone is there. No one was there. I called the girl back, and she told me to come back the following week when we have power back. I did that. I also got a certified letter that week, telling me that it was $25/day since the accident, which I was not aware of. The accident happened Sept 5, the letter was sent Sept 8 but did not arrive to my house until Sept 18. I went to Westway the next day to get my car. I asked to speak to the manager to request not having to pay the $600+ dollars that I apparently owed. I told them I'd meet them in the middle on the late fees. Not only were they completely unreasonable, and not only did the manager refuse to speak to me, they didn't change their mind, and treated me like dirt too. They told me they were here throughout the Hurricane and I should have called. I told them I did. They said I should have come by. I did, twice. I also told me their employee told me to come back the following week b/c they were out of power at the Wellington office. I did that. When I brought that up, they told me the employee was wrong, and that it was still my responsibility. I could go on, but they were jerks to me, and they were very rigid in holding fast to get their money, despite the Hurricane complexities. Ugh. Really made me mad. And they were also very unorganized. If you can avoid working with this place, please do. Unfortunately, the Wellington police use them after an accident so you may get stuck with them. Get your car out of there as soon as possible if you do. And don't expect kindness or reasonably good treatment. read more

Yesterday my review was horrible, and my experience was not great but after my husband went to Westway, he had a very different experience. Today he sw Conchita & Kevin, part owners. They were very helpful, reasonable and completely changed our opinion of their organization. It is true that they have a contract with the city, but if the Accident Investigator had been a better communicator we could have avoided a lot of the frustration and stress that was experienced. read more

Called around 11am to have my car towed one mile north to the dealership because it wouldn't start. Was quoted $85 hitch fee plus $5 per mile, which seemed extremely high compared to other companies but didn't have much choice because my broken down car is in a parking garage. I was told the tow would be there "within the hour", after a hour had passed, I called for a better ETA considering I was due at work around 12:30pm, was told it would be another "20 minutes", in hopes of getting this resolved today, I resolved to be a little late to work. At 12:30 I called again was told it would be "another 20 minutes". Deeming this unacceptable I canceled my tow to find a more reputable and honest company. I waited over an hour and a half to get absolutely nowhere. Do NOT waste your time, choose a better company with better rates. read more

worsI'll give them one star because they managed to tow my truck from site of wreck to westway. Good job westway! Everything after that is pretty much a nightmare. They operate like gangsters, but the time of gangsters is over. Customers don't want to be bullied or scared into something. That's not how the world works anymore. These guys need to grow up. So after those shenanigans my insurance company attempted many times to pull my vehicle from their lot. All release papers had been signed and everything was in order. Except westway had told my insurance company they had released my vehicle to someone else- uhm really?? Ok attempt one fail. Attempt 2(4hours later)- now the insurance company has brought the incorrect fees even though I was just advised they they had updated the fees and were sent out. So after a few mor attempts and games westway plays they were finally able to retrieve my vehicle on attempt 5 , day 3. They are affiliated with broward collision so beware before taking your car there or letting westway talk you into using them. If it's such a headache to retrieve your vehicle imagine how it will be with the repairst tow company ever. And I don't think they are good to begin with. The guy answered the phone, quoted an outrageous price then didn't show. A half hour later I called, he said he wasn't coming. Avoid at all costs. Not worth it. Well I will start off by saying my car got impounded here a year ago and not only did they put a hole threw my back bumper. This is a POS outfit. Charged 486.00 to my son to tow 1.8 miles. "Siting accident cleanup (a bumper) and a plastic lining on the cracked window (probably a FL statue requirement to tow with cracked window). Bad enough the car is totaled , bad enough He has no F-ING tongue because it got bit off in the accident, now these POS rich owners of this company is taking 486.00 from a 20 year old and the title to the car so they can auction it. Oh and they keep the proceeds of the sale. And if I don't come up with the money by today, they will charge me 25.00 a day for storage of a smashed car that takes up 60 sq ft of space. It's your typical kick a brother while your down. No right , no even close to a fair amount. They said it was a BSO agreed upon amount and they never gave us the option to call our own wrecker. Plenty of other companies out there. One charges 50.00 to tow anywhere in the county plus 50.00 to clean a scene for a bumper . Much more reasonable. Do your research people and avoid these people. When I go over my total loss/estimate with my insurance company they state that I had no radio. Dealing with the chaos from having to replace my vehicle...the people form this company steal. Worst experience ever! They force you to use the repair shops that they get kickbacks from and overcharge you. The girl that works there is rude and thinks she is a mob wife! A tow truck driver even complained about her attitude to me. I would not recommend this business to anyone and they are an excellent example as to why small businesses fail. I have never wanted to see a small business fail especially in this economy, but the owners obviously don't care so why should I? The police had picked this place to get my car towed and it was litterally 10 minute drive and cost me $227.00!! Then they charged my debit card twice when I went to pick it up (which took over an hour just to give me a car back and run the damn debit card). I got the credit but still a hassle. read more

After my husbands car overheated and he pulled off the road- the car caught on fire, and the fhp called this company to tow the car rather then letting us toe it ourselves. It ost us $289.00 to get the carjack in less then 24 hrs!!!!! It is like legalized robbery of your own car!!! And they refused to let us have the tag off of our own car. Worst company ever! I was in an accident and this company towed my vehicle from the crash site. I am an active duty military member and had military orders to fly out of state on the next business day after my car was towed. I went to the lot to sign a release the morning that I was leaving, so that my insurance company could tow the vehicle for repair while I was out on orders. When I called regarding coming in to sign the release, Westway did not tell me to bring my registration with me, so I showed up without it. When they told me that they would not release my car without registration, I asked if I could give them a notarized letter, as this was all happening just moments before i was to board a plane. They told me absolutely not and that I would have to come back after I got back from my orders. They also told me that I would have to pay for the storage fees for each day that it was there...which would amount to several weeks! After fighting for almost a week and having my insurance company intervene, they agreed to accept a notarized letter! My insurance company agreed with me that these people will make things as difficult as possible to be able to keep your car longer and make you pay the additional storage fees! BEWARE! They are not easy people to deal with and they were EXTREMELY RUDE to both myself and my insurance company! Guess that's the thanks I get for serving my country!
