I have had these guys out here 4 different times and have gotten 4 different diagnosis. They came out in May and replaced my AC blower. Then when it was still not blowing cool air in June, I had them come out for a cleaning. They clean the system and then a month later it's not blowing cool air again. So they come out and tell me I need a new system. I rejected this so I had them come out a 4th time to do a full system diagnostic. I thought I was getting that with the clean I paid for a month earlier. I would have thought that would be the first thing they would do. Well...after the diagnostic, I come to find out that the whole problem was a dirty filter. I never replaced it. I swore I did, but I guess I messed up. I am not the professional though. The professionals should have caught this on day 1 when they replaced the blower motor. Or at least, they definitely should have figured this out when doing the cleaning in June. I honestly believe that they were just trying to make me feel like my AC was beat so that they could sell me a new system. The neglect doesn't just stop at not replacing or even taking notice of the filter, it gets worse. After the 4th service call last week, I go down the basement and noticed that the air filter is the wrong size by several inches. I ended up having to pay that guy 13$ for the filter. If it's 13$ it should fit right. You think they could of tossed that in after they kept screwing me, but no. The real funny thing was that they didn't even bother to clean the air intake. It was so caked and matted with dust and b.s. that hardly any air can pass through to the machine. How was this not a part of the cleaning. They also wanted to charge me an additional 6 hundred to clean dirty coils and interior parts. I am confused as to why this would be separate from the original cleaning and why was I not told about this before. never the less, tech #4 showed me pictures of the inside of my dirty system. So either that wasn't part of the original cleaning or it wasn't done properly in June. I will tell you that I am excited to not need a new system just yet. It is nearing its time but it truly feels that this company was just trying to speed up the process. I am including a picture of the dirty intake vent. Am I supposed to clean that myself? Really, I'm asking an honest question ? Should that be part of a system clean? If so, your technicians aren't working thoroughly. If not, then at the very least, take notice and tell me about the problem. I even emailed them a picture of this vent that was left like this. They tire of me because they already got my money. Delfera for the loss!

    S&D Mechanical...Such a disappointment. Our a/c was acting up and we called S&D who was referred…read moreto us. He came out and checked out the a/c and advised us what he "thought" was the problem and said it should be okay. Two days later we had to leave him a message to come back as the a/c wasn't working once again. He came back out and replaced a breaker switch in our electric panel in the family room. Yep...again the a/c failed to be fixed. We called him back 4 times and left him messages that went unanswered. He was the one who told us that the was not going to leave us high and dry without a/c and he would be back should we need him. $245.00 later we are still waiting for him to either show up or call us. The phone is growing cobwebs waiting for his return call. We had to hire another a/c repair man who identified the problem as a connector issue and had it fixed within 1 hour of his time. You can best believe we will be using the 2nd guy who did the job right. Someone should report S&D Mechanical to the BBB for poor customer service. Hmmmm. Off I go the the BBB site.
