Air Ducts: They began the air duct cleaning and shortly into the service they damaged one of my air ducts behind the wall, thus leaving me with a now broken airway to my powder room. The technician's equipment and large hose was shoved into my vent with no pre-examination of the sizing and now my flexible duct does not reach as it once did prior to Angelo's showing up. By shoving their equipment down improperly, they popped off the flexible duct even though it was zip tied (as it is supposed to be) and shredded it. They said they would have a manager come out to speak and review the issue that day and that never happened. Carpets: They arrived with equipment that was very different than what I was expecting. It did not appear to be commercial equipment rather something similar to what I could buy myself (like a Bissell). The carpet did get cleaned, but to me it seemed very odd that their equipment wasn't what I'm used to seeing. Several stains are still on my carpets (which I know sometimes they are very hard to remove), but most times they are able to at least be lessened. I give them a 7/10 on the carpets. I have been in contact with them about a refund and they only gave me $50 back for the 2 vents they charged me for! that they broke and weren't able to clean. Now I need to go to Home Depot and spend more $$$ to try and correct this duct problem they created. Their fine print states that they "aren't responsible for damages behind walls" which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Only good thing is that they were responsive to the email complaint. DO NOT USE THEM for your air duct cleaning. I should have gone with Stanley Steamer instead and will never be using Angelo's again -- you shouldn't either.

This hourly rate was never disclosed to me when I scheduled the service. The technician himself told me that my furnace was in good shape and that this was a regular tune-up for him. I called the office that same day to address the issue, and the woman at the front desk confirmed to me that their tune-ups are $219. She told me she would pass my information along to Mr. Ferro. I never received a call from him and eventually had to follow up myself. When I finally spoke with someone, the explanation seemed to be that the technician had to perform a significant amount of additional work on my furnace. That does not match what I was told by the technician, nor what I understood was being performed when I authorized the $219 tune-up. I also contacted two other local oil companies afterward, and both told me that $438 in labor for a routine oil furnace tune-up was extremely excessive. My biggest issue isn't simply the price -- it's the lack of transparency about the $219-per-hour charge. If I had been told upfront that $219 was an hourly labor rate, I could have made an informed decision before authorizing the work. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend Ferro. I feel the pricing was not transparent, and the way my concern was handled afterward was disappointing.

Basically, an entire zone wasn't getting any heat and the pump was running hot. Karalis' guy charged me a $135 diagnostic fee to tell me that either the system was air bound, or the pump was bad. I could've diagnosed that myself. He promised to get me an estimate on making changes to the system so that the problem would be resolved. After a few few weeks of not hearing from them, I called and got the owner on the phone. He said that they were looking into it and that they would get back to me with an estimate for the work. It is now been three months. Radio silence. I'm not impressed, I won't use them, and I recommend you don't either.

The owner took the time to go over the parts/repairs needed and answer all of my questions. The price was fair. Moving forward they also recommended a preventive maintenance service to keep the new compressor and other parts of the unit healthy and running strong.
