Used this home inspector in purchasing my first home. They missed EVERYTHING which is costing me thousands of dollars to now fix. Missed knob and tube electrical both wiring and going into the circuit box, missed exposed wire connections that was just tucked into insulation. Missed mold, water damage, termite damage, floor rot in the bathroom, and the list goes on. Avoid hiring this company for your home inspection, and get someone who knows what to look for. read more

Priority Inspections and their unprofessional work caused unnecessary stress during the sale of our home. They were hired by our home purchasers, and their inspection report noted multiple items that were not "up to code." However, after discussing these items with our town inspector and the State of Rhode Island Building Code Commission, we were able to confirm that there were no code violations -- because indeed there are no relevant codes! When pressed, Priority Inspections was unable to point to any specific codes being violated. These people really have no clue what they are doing, and I would not trust them. And sellers -- if your buyer is using Priority Inspections, warn them about their poor work and require that the inspector specify any codes they allege are being violated. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews, however going with Priority Inspections cost us thousands of dollars because our inspector from Priority neglected to mention that we should have further inspection of our asbestos-covered pipes or to even point them out. We definitely do not expect an inspection company to INSPECT the asbestos in the basement, as they say they don't do that, but when the piping, which was not encapsulated, was SO OBVIOUS that our contractor pointed it out later one minute after stepping into our basement, we realized that if the inspector had simply mentioned it we could have gotten it checked out and perhaps bargained with the seller instead of having to pay thousands for abatement after closing. The company was not responsive to our pleas for recompense due to their neglect and error. I recommend avoiding this company, sadly. read more

Anothny was my inspector, he was extremely detailed and informative. He was able to see little things like nail pops on my roof and even gave me great guidance. He recommended to have the chimney inspected by a certified chimney cleaner. I took his advice and it saved me almost 2k. The chimney needed weather caps and a new liner. I normally don't write reviews but I had to in this case. I was referred to Priority inspection for a home inspection by my realtor. The house that we will be moving into has a septic tank, well and oil heating system, which I have never used in the past. I was initially worried because I didn't know much about these systems or didn't know what to expect. However once I met my inspector Dom, within a couple of minutes I knew I didn't have to worry anymore. He was super thorough and took the time to explain how things worked, what to look for and additional helpful tips that was needed to maintain the house. I really appreciated his advise and his professional advises. He didn't rush anything and really took the time to inspect the house. This was my 3rd time using a home inspector (all different inspection companies) but I was really happy with my choice with Priority Inspections this time. I didn't even want to give one star....do not hire this company. They came to my house to do a home inspection. The inspector had no idea how to manually light a propane fireplace and when I returned home he had left all his latex gloves in my backyard, all my windows on the first floor were left unlocked and I found a ridiculous amount of water on the floor in my master bath. When the inspection was final, he failed my 11 year old septic system stating it had back flow into the service collar which needed to be repaired. I had to hire a septic inspector to do a second inspection (partly because I knew this guy had no clue) and when the experts came in, the septic passed with no issues detected at all. When we called Priority....they basically told us sorry, not sorry. This company obviously employs green inspectors who have no business inspecting homes solo and if you do hire them, be prepared to have to pay extra for experts to come in and do second inspections. They showed a lack of knowledge/experience and zero respect for my home. Please be careful, this place is a waste of money!! read more
