Luckily, Brian and his team were super helpful. They explained to me what my options were, started work the same week I first inquired, helped me choose a stain that would best suit my floors and worked quickly to accommodate my move-in date. I'm so impressed with how the floors turned out -- they look EXCELLENT and make a huge difference with how my whole house looks. Such a great value for a reasonable price, can't recommend these guys enough.

They put new wood in, and stained it the color I chose. They sanded down a few of the bedrooms that already had hardwood, and there is a clear discoloration in the wood surrounding the perimeter of the rooms. It's very noticeable. On top of that, I've never seen hardwoods that dent so easily (where the new wood was put in). I've dropped a cup in the kitchen and it put a huge dent in the floor. Everyday things that should not scuff up wood floors put dents in these floors. 1 year after installation my entire kitchen and living room look like absolute shit because we used these guys. (We've barely lived in the house and the floors look like trash). Putting rugs down. Never again. From now on we'll do it ourselves, there's no way it could come out any worse.

Monetary loss, very hard for senior citizens to ambulate, very labor intensive intensive, no time to hire someone to complete the manual labor. Two seniors had to complete. We have a new stoop. The newly redone work is good. I suggested we get a break for a rather enormous failure, but this has not been honored. I was quite excited initially, nice team, will never contract again.

Gave him a call and he returned my call very quickly. We are so glad he did! Got us an estimate very quickly and was able to schedule us fast! He kept us in the loop through the whole process and was honest, fair, and did a superb job. Great work, great employees and my floor looks absolutely fantastic! I cannot stress enough how friendly, professional, thorough, and honest he was. Great work, honest pricing, and knew how to solve the problem we were having. So, since our house needed to be painted, we decided to give the contract to them to paint the exterior of our 1927 home which has a lot of trim work, railings, finials, etc. Another great job completed on schedule and within budget. We even had them do a few extra fixes to long-standing problems other contractors either created or never fixed properly like a bathroom vent, etc. We've worked with lots of contractors for small jobs to entire "gut rehabs" and more important than price (though they are very competitive), Matt and his team are honest, attentive, and committed to ensuring your job is done properly and with integrity - not common among the contractors we've worked with over the years. Thanks Matt, Matthew, and crew! The place looks great!

The lead painter had 6 yrs, and the guys working with him didn't speak English and were very inexperienced. Besides the estimator, communication was lacking, never did what they said, when and blamed it on the weather. They tried to upsell everywhere. My home is stained and after power washing they said I needed to prime the entire house for an additional 1600). A door frame needed to be repaired an I pointed out a bunch of cedar shakes I wanted replaced. The door doesn't close properly because the job was done poorly and in addition to not replacing a bunch of shingles that should have been replaced, they cut them out around the old shingles, not slid under another 1200. There are drips everywhere, including on trim, on a roof above my door and on my deck, so sloppy. I love the color but I am not impressed by much on this job. They were a contractor not Elco, I could have hired someone with less overhead and saved money, but I wanted experience. I am so disappointed this review is 3 months late. I paid quite a bit, we shall see how long it lasts. We have always painted ourselves but the house is too tall. I would never use Elco again. The owner called me after I called him saying after all the issues did you not want to hear what I thought. The foreman was a joke, never met him even though he was supposed to be onsite until I told the estimator I had never spoken to him. I wish I never sent the final payment but I really just wanted them gone! They were here over a month because they hardly put a full day. I thought my feelings would have subsided but every day that I see 3 broken deck lights, a snapped solar light wire and 3 broken vinyl sleeve covers on the portico, I realize I should have withheld payment. Listen to your gut on this one, if only the estimator calls you back dump them!
