We got some misaligned business cards with crooked cuts and they didn't help us with it because my boss took more than 30 days to notice. Technically past the 30 day guarantee but someone told us they can fix it but another department said they couldn't a few weeks later. Just be sure to check your orders, especially the cuts. I believe it was customer support vs the actual sales/operations/printing department. I understand it was my boss's fault for not noticing for over 30 days. The order was placed in late 2023 and he did not notice until early 2024. And I know the guarantee only covers 30 days. But they told me they would fix it and I spent a long time taking pictures and uploading them between multiple emails because the pictures were not delivering from my company email to their customer support so I had to redo it. A few weeks after all this, they decided that since it was more than 30 days they changed their mind and would not help us. And again, yes it was well over 30 days and no longer guaranteed but we thought maybe they could do it as a courtesy. I was explicitly told that the replacements would be included in our order in January 2024, which was about 90 days since the bad order, but they never came and they retracted their statement :( The fact that they sent us thousands of crooked business cards for a substantial amount of money, then mistakenly told us that they would fix it after I spent so long to get those pictures and then waiting so long before saying otherwise. My boss was considering taking our business elsewhere, however, their prices are good and we only had that one major issue besides customer service being a little slow sometimes. Their delivery speeds are good as well and I'm happy with my business cards, he was just not happy with his. UPDATE in response to the customer service comment: Yes, I was aware it was past the 30 day guarantee. No, it was not "a year ago" at the time, it was a few months from late 2023 to early 2024. I didn't mind that the guarantee doesn't cover it. The thing that bothered me was the fact that customer service told me they would fix it regardless of it being a few months later, and I spent a lot of time sending them pictures and dealing with support through calls and emails. I believe it was a miscommunication between customer service and the operations team. Or between different customer service agents. Or maybe the first agent I spoke to was either lying or didn't know what they were talking about. I'd be fine if they told us right off the bat that they couldn't do it, as we just asked them to do it as a courtesy and didn't expect them to say yes. I was pleasantly surprised when the first person said they would replace it for free. They promised to send it with my January order. But then after that didn't happen, and the Yelp comment implied it was a whole year before my review without actually addressing the problem, my opinion on Printivity customer service is very negative and this brings down my rating. Just be sure to check EVERYTHING you receive very carefully when you receive them. I checked all 1000 of my business cards and they're fine. They have good prices. Just the customer service could be improved. At this point (2025), it all happened over a year ago, for real this time. One rep confirmed receiving an email...when they did not respond, I followed up and was told that I never sent it. When customer service hangs up on you - when you are bringing them business - instead of trying to help complete a sale, you know that they are lacking in ability and decency. Our parish/school wanted to support a local business in the San Diego area so we chose Printivity. Our 501(c)(3) status was denied (even after providing the pertinent documentation) We decided to overlook it and give a local print shop the opportunity to earn our business. Our first submission wasn't perfect and we were told "Yes, we offer complimentary File Checks and yes, we can print on the spine of softcover books. I have sent you instructions on how to upload your file in a separate email" We never received instructions in a separate email. But we did receive an invoice. Printivity is very very good at sending invoices. I give them 5 stars in the art of sending an invoice. This a how know they're not fully incompetent. Once we did submit our file we were told we had to approve the proof by 9am to avoid extra fees . (Insert invoice here) The file we needed to approve by 9am was sent to us at 9:36am. Wrong file- they just sent us the OLD FILE) We were told we had to pay$385 due to our late submission and the changes we had. (We were happy to pay it just to get it over with) After resubmitting our proof for 250 yearbooks, which we needed by a certain date- we received an invoice for $486...because we had 82 pages vs 80 pages. We received that invoice at 2:38pm (yes another one) and were told we had to pay it by 5:00 the same day to ensure we would you get the books in time. Once we finally received the yearbooks (which were 81 pages) they were printed wrong. We have spent countless hours giving them opportunities to make this right. Not once did we get a solution. If you love getting add ons and upsold, and a whole lot of invoices ...this company is perfect for you. Otherwise steer clear ...we're still getting the "your file is under investigation" responses when we call. read more

I am so happy with Printivity. I had researched several print companies for my second self-published children's book, and each price quote made me gulp at the high price. I stumbled on Printivity and feel so lucky because something told me to go with them and every step of the printing process has been a dream. I've had to do quite a few edits, and each time the agent was patient, professional and easy to deal with. I've also dealt with anywhere from 6 to 10 different people--each one was amazing and knowledgeable. Whenever you call, there's always someone who answers (unlike a lot of other companies), and turn-around time for proofs is super fast. I was looking for a local print shop to do a small print run of comic books that were to be a gift for the family for the first birthday of my brother's triplets. They came out better than I expected, and Theresa offered her expertise to improve the quality of the printing. PROPS: Lots of options for printing small and large jobs. Yes they are cheap, but if you don't get your materials in time, you wasted all your money. I had a great experience with them back in April. On Oct 25th I placed an order for a meeting I have in NY on Nov 6th. Delivery date was supposed to be to my home in Colorado yesterday on Nov 4th. I approved their proof on the same day I ordered (Oct 25) so no delays on my end. A week passes and I get a shipping confirmation after hours on Friday Nov 1st saying that delivery is expected on Nov 6th (after I would have already left for NY). But only the label was "created" and UPS did not even have possession of the package for me to try to change anything with the delivery. Of course Printivity is closed on weekends. I emailed them and called and left a message but no response. Finally on a 3rd attempt I reached them on Monday Nov 4th. They confirmed that the package was still in their San Diego facility waiting for pickup. I explained that I either needed the package to be overnighted to me in Colorado for delivery on the 5th, or sent 2-day to the hotel I would be at in NY on the 6th. They said that they would check with the "Production Team" but that there were no guarantees that anything could be changed. I also asked for a call back from a supervisor or account manager to explain why this delay occurred. I head nothing back from them. The UPS Tracking updated this morning to say that my package would be delivered to Colorado on Thursday the 7th (when my meetings are over). 3 days late with no explanation, apology, or compensation! I am repeating my experience with Printivity that I've written on other platforms because I've reached my tipping point with them. My current project was submitted in January 2022. It's now almost April 2022, and we still don't have our catalogs. Turns out, every rejected proof that was updated with newer files was repeatedly sent back for approval with the same original files, and not replaced with the newly updated files. So, I would reject a proof because content was cut off, edit and re-upload the files, and unknowingly receive a proof with the original incorrect files. Since I still saw content cut off, I would reject the new proof sent to me, then would re-edit and re-upload the new files, and then see the same issue. Why this pattern wasn't noticed sooner was because sometimes proofs that were sent to me for approval somehow mixed some of the old files with the new files making me think progress was being made, further adding to my confusion. Even worse, because these back-and-forth's happened so much over the course of these three months, there were 2-3 different occasions where the project was put on hold due to an unpaid balance because my page count had apparently doubled according to their system...no...in these cases, you added my newer files to the older files rather than replacing them. Invoices to pay were actually sent via email with an explanation stating that my page count exceeded what I had initially ordered. I even started each file name with the page number from the start so there would be no confusion. JUST TO REITERATE: - Proofs were repeatedly sent with older files. - Proofs were sent with old and new files mixed in. - Proofs were sent with double the amount of files which paused the processing of the project because a new unpaid balance was applied due to increased page count. You can imagine my frustration when this has to be explained multiple times via email (to the same person) and phone call (to multiple people). This whole thing was a mess, sorry STILL IS a mess....the funny thing is, we literally had the same catalogs printed the prior year. Our catalog just had some price changes...no format changes, yet somehow these issues have dragged on for months.. 2 stars instead of 1 because aside from these issues, their process is normally fairly simple. I unfortunately got stuck with an account/project manager who appears to be either incompetent or totally apathetic. 4/11/22 EDIT: To Natalie who responded to my review: You're right...the issues were resolved in a matter of days, which I appreciate. This doesn't change the fact that there were a ridiculous amount of issues. I'm not going to look through the 30 or so email back and forths that we've had to count how many times I was sent wrong proofs. But those days of resolving do add up. Being repeatedly sent the wrong proofs with older files and charging extra on 2-3 separate occasions adds up quite a few days of resolution. Waiting for me for files wouldn't have happened if your team did their job right and sent me proofs with the correct files. And I just received an email today about supply chain issues (which I totally understand), but you downgraded my cover pages from 80lbs to 10lbs without my approval or any mention of a credit/refund for the difference. To be honest, all things considered, I feel like we deserve an upgrade to something better than 80lbs if that's an option. And a free one at that. read more

I spent four months researching, organizing, drafting and editing a family history project for a gentleman for whom I had worked for over 30 years. We both put an enormous amount of effort into creating a 188-page book with loads of color pictures, ancient newspaper clippings, etc. As we neared the finish line, he spent a lot of time visiting printers in Louisville, Kentucky and all of the quotes requested were either never delivered to us or they were simply unreasonable with respect to cost. I had a 9x12 Perfect Bound made of my portfolio. The 100# Gloss premium interior paper and 100# matte cover with lamination made a great combination that looks better than the 8 1/2 x 11 magazines offered by other companies. I was impressed that it shipped in a box that had plenty of wrapping paper to keep the single copy from bouncing around. Great friendly and helpful customer service. Found the best value I could for a small (5 copies) print job of a 180 pp of photos, etc. As a publisher using large quantity perfect bound printing, I was skeptical of the quality from an unknown printer. This place is really wonderful. They can be a bit hard to reach via telephone- but they are super responsive via email. The print quality is pretty great - especially compared to local folks like Office Depot / Office Max, FedEx Kinko's, Staples, etc. Even if you add on shipping costs from Cali to Atlanta - their prices typically meet or beat chain places like those - and even Prima Flyers. I can't say enough great things about them. The only thing I'm not crazy about is - there are VERY limited finishing options (ie cut in half, trim white edges) so I can't typically do drop shipping. I have to have items shipped to my home, then drive them to OfficeMax for cutting. ARGH. Hopefully - at some point soon - that will change. read more

I was wanting to print a yoga manual for the 300 hour training I'm in, and loved how efficient and easy everything was. I've made 2 order in recent weeks and the only thing that no one seems to mention in their reviews is the gouge in shipping fees. Each shipment was a handful of mini poster sized prints ranging, orders ranging $8-$10 but the shipping was $20 each from San Diego to the Bay Area! ... both orders arrived in 24" long x16" wide"x 7" tall boxes filled with brown paper. I understand the idea of preventing paper to be bent or crushed, but the size of box and packaging is quite excessive, wasteful and expensive. Just a heads up. read more

Wow!!! I could not be more impressed with the quality, price, and fast turnaround from this company. I only wish I'd found them sooner. I paid less for 16 pages of color with Printivity than for 12 pages of poor-quality B&W from Staples. All these years I thought I was priced out of a color newsletter when I could have been using Printivity. I suspect donations to our nonprofit will increase this year because readers will be more excited when they can see the photos of our school in Africa, and its students, in color. I'm a perfectionist, wasn't expecting it from an online company with such low prices, thought I'd have to wait a couple weeks to get my order.
