These guys saved my....!!!! I tried a cheap and fast online print company and they missed the mark...or Fedex leaving me without 1000 tickets needed for an event Saturday am. I called Direct to Print on Friday at 11 am and I was picking up my order by 2. I wish I found them in the first place!! I know that my pieces looked 10x better with them because they took the time to make some suggestions and corrections the other company didn't do. Oh!!! Not a good experience. Don't go here. I gave them 2 stars out of the goodness of my heart, not because it was earned. Let's start by saying they charged me a high fee for an over the weekend print and pretended like the made some big authorization to allow this print. It started out bad when I got there and someone was already arguing with the employee. Then I get my print and I am less than satisfied with the colors it printed. Maybe my fault, maybe there's, but either way I got attitude. How about you tell me the issue and I fix it rather, than go to print and offer me a refund saying I should go somewhere else when I am not impressed. Update: I checked my hex codes after returning home and they are all the SAME. I don't know why the colors all printed funky. They tried to blame my graphics but these were borders and fonts, so that should not matter Bottomline: Their service is about as good as theit website. Which is really crappy. As I write this review, I still hear the staff arguing with the patron. Wow. That is not the way to run a business. read more

I submitted at 11am they found an error in my artwork, emailed, then called when I didn't respond, had it fixed by noon and was ready for pickup at 2:30. It was amazing. I liked the convenience of being able to print Save The Dates postcards locally even though the price would be much higher than finding a bigger online company. I proceeded to upload the file to them after agreeing on a price. A few days later, the bride to be picked up the cards at their shop. She called me up telling me that she wanted me to take a look at the cards as they looked shrimp red on the picture. When I took a look, I immediately knew they were wrong so I made a phone call to their shop and the pressman answered. I explained to him that I've been working in prepress for many many years and that the file SHOULD NOT have printed this red as the couple looks sunburned. He mentioned to me that he noticed it but that if I wanted a reprint, it would come out looking the same as my file is too saturated. He would charge half the price to do a reprint with a new file. I kept telling him that the file looked right but he wouldn't take that as an explanation. I don't know why a company that's been in business this long would not question "sunburned" picture before proceeding with a job. I did what he asked and desaturated the file, although it wasn't what we were going for. The picture was supposed to have vivid colors on it. Uploaded a new file and asked them to confirm it would print right before proceeding. I did not hear back from them. I come to find out they reprinted the job without confirming it with us. In the meantime, I had the original file printed at Staples, with my home inkjet and also at C2 Reprographics in Sorrento Valley. All three samples came out beautiful. Since C2 Repro offered to print them at $22 less than Direct To Press, I had them proceed with the job. I showed them the postcards that Direct To Press printed and not only did they confirm they were way off, they also noticed that Direct To Press printed them at a lower resolution than the file. Needless to say, I explained the findings to DTP as well as a provide a visual side by side comparison of what they produced and what C2 Repro produced. I requested they refund the brides money and that we would return the postcards as they were unacceptable to mail out. They refuse to accept that the job they produced was unacceptable and therefore, I am spreading the word. I headed down to Direct to Press to get my wedding invitations that we designed ourselves printed. We were already behind schedule sending them out for our wedding next month, so I was not only in a crunch for time but also very stressed out from wedding planning in general. Within 5 minutes of coming in, I felt at ease with Armon & Paul. We were joking around and this helped alleviate some of my stress. Armon was really helpful, checking out my file and even making a quick print of it so I could see what it would look like printed out and so I could take it home to show my fiancee. Unfortunately, the paper I had purchased ahead of time for the invitations was not going to work for what I wanted done (not Direct to Press' fault), but Armon & Paul told me exactly what I needed to get at Kelly Paper down the road. Since they (& Kelly Paper) were closing in 15 minutes, they told me to hurry and get down there to get the paper, then return the following day to drop it off so they could get started on the job. I made it over and got the paper in time, then realized that I had exactly 3 minutes before Direct to Press closed. I thought I'd give calling the shop a shot, since I don't really live close by and wanted to save myself a trip back up the following day if possible. Paul answered, I explained that I had gotten the paper, and asked if it was at all possible for me to head back up the road and drop it off even though they were already technically closed. Paul, awesome as he is, agreed, even though he was already headed out the door. This small act showed me what a truly wonderful business owner Paul is. I dropped off the paper, and 24 hours later my invitations were DONE. Paul even included the cutting for me since I had multiple invitations and insert cards on each sheet of paper. When I arrived, they were all cut and ready and wrapped in shrink wrap. The price was equally as awesome. I can't say enough about how happy my fiancee & I are with Direct to Press printing. We plan on having them print our wedding thank-you postcards also, as well as any other future printing we need done. I had NO idea about business card design, paper, gloss, etc. so I went to their location and they explained everything to me with the different prices and what usually works best with different designs. I sent them my template and something with the coloring was a little off, instead of just printing the poor quality card they called me right away to talk about fixing it. BEST DEAL IN TOWN! These guys are real pros! I searched around for somewhere to print out my wedding menus. I had received some quotes from other shops around town but when I found Direct To Press' website...I was skeptical. The prices for any size paper print job (has to be 50 copies minimum) are incredible. You wont find a better deal. The guy helping me asked for the digital copies of my menu quoted me on the price and it was even lower that what the website had quoted me! It was easy and I was out of there in a few minutes. I had mentioned that I did not need them rushed at all. I pick them up after the weekend and I had my 50 menus printed beautifully on glossy stock paper giving my menus a nice finish. We had a problem with our post cards for San Diego Comic Con last weekend and were SOL which was UNACCEPTABLE! As soon as i thought i was screwed, I found Direct2press/printfast! I designed my own invitations, so I'm pretty new at all of this and it was my first time using illustrator. It was a three-color design that had an illustration of the bride and groom and lots of pattern. I needed 100 of each printed and was in a little bit of a hurry. D2P make everything very simple, setting up the files I had emailed them to be printed. They also gave me a variety of paper option. I have to say, I'm glad this company was suggested to me instead of going to a factory company. My fiancee and I brought in a template of our wedding ceremony programs to be printed. When they went to print them, they noticed a problem with the font and a problem with how it was printing on the paper that I had brought to them. They called me immediately and asked me to come in. My fiancee and I went to the store and they were able to fix the problem right away after showing it to me. Not only that, they suggested a different paper - which they didn't charge me for!
