I'm recommending. If you can't get merchandise you want from Apple make it yourself. The decal came with my iPad I believe. I wanted a iPad screen saver installed for it too. I did keep the Apple decal and found it recently. Haha As for this place, I'd use their service again.

I had a very disappointing experience with iFix NY Midtown regarding my ROG Ally X repair…read more Last Tuesday, they texted me saying they had diagnosed an issue with the left analog stick controller board assembly, which was affecting input and control response. They said the repair would include replacing the left analog stick controller board assembly to restore functionality. The quoted cost was $230 + tax, with an estimated turnaround time of 2-5 business days. After that, I had to call almost every day just to get updates. Then today, I received a different message saying they had received replacement parts, but not the full set. They said they could replace the damaged analog sticks themselves, but were still waiting for the round LED light rings around the sticks. They also said they could return the device with the controllers functional, but the left stick would have no LED light ring. That was concerning because the original diagnosis and quote were for the left analog stick controller board assembly, but the later message described replacing the analog sticks themselves and leaving the LED ring unfinished. For $230 + tax, I do not think a partial or incomplete repair is acceptable. When I went to pick up the device, I had already called and was told it was ready. But when I arrived, I still had to wait around 30 minutes while they reassembled it. That is not "ready for pickup." To be fair, the owner was there and was kind, apologetic, and professional. My issue was not with him. My issue was with the repair technician handling my device. His attitude was horrendous, and the interaction felt careless and unprofessional. The worst part is that after testing my ROG Ally X in-store, the left trigger felt worse than before, and the light around the stick was no longer working. I brought the device in for a specific repair, and I left feeling like it had been returned with new problems. As someone who runs a tech company and understands customer service, I was shocked by how poorly the repair side of this was handled. I had other products I was considering bringing to them, but after this experience, I will not be returning. A kind owner cannot make up for a disorganized, incomplete, and careless repair process.

The owner and the gentleman up front were very knowledgeable and assured me while walking through my every concern. They charged a reasonable price to have my set fixed, and its been working great! I love using analog recording equipment. And had this Tascam 4 track recorder for sometime. Was…read moreworking fine until recently the play button wouldn't release. So I took back cover off and noticed the play belt slipped off the cam. This Tascam Porta 2 was serviced few years back by licensed Tascam company. Inside was clean as a whistle. So now I had no time to repair belt. Looked for repair shop and this store came up. Took unit to store and filled out on work order: Play belt slipped off cam. (See pic) Simple repair you think? Well let me tell you this place will pad the bill as high as possible. With frivolous work charges. When I went to pick up unit. I got a bill for $185 for 1 play belt. Ohh they charged me for Replaced Belts, Rebuilt Motor which was a lie etc. There was nothing wrong with anything except the play belt. On top of that they never called me to say this work needs to be done. Or provide any photos to show what they did. That's what I mean by padding the bill. So I show up to pick up unit and bring my own Tascam OEM power supply, that was original to unit. Plug it in and all is ok. Just wanted to pay and leave. There is one thing I learned in life. Never argue with a fool. Because that makes two fools. So low and behold I take unit to my job and less than an hour later the Tascam unit fails. All this work that was supposed done and it breaks done before I even get it home. Yea right! So now I take it back. And it takes another day. Funny thing is the guy working the counter is like. Hey bring that Tascam oem power supply back and he will trade it for a $3 Chinese power supply. I was born at nite. But it wasn't last nite. What a moron bad enough he is ripping me off for unapproved work. Now he wants me to trade a $30 Tascam oem power supply for a $3 one. What an idiot. Check it out if you enter this store. Enter at your own risk. And be specific about any repairs with the caveat if work goes beyond scope of original quote. That you need to approve it. And ask for proof like photos etc. And as of July 4 th after only using tape deck for two hours. Tape deck failed with same error as when taken into this shop for repair. Useless idiots who have no clue what they are doing.

I let the camera rest and tried the EVF again, but it was definitely broken. I found Shocked Electronics on Yelp when I was in a nearby neighborhood. The staff first checked to see if a soft reset would solve the problem, but it didn't. They called me the next business day with a diagnosis and repair cost estimate, and requested a 50% down payment to start repairs. The repair-versus-replace metric for me leaned towards repair. I picked up the camera the following week, because they had to order the parts. While they fixed the EVF, the fix seem to have caused vertical synchronization issues with the camera's main screen, so I returned the camera to the store. The store diagnosed the v-sync problem as an unrelated issue, but fixed it for free. I returned in another two days to pick up the camera. Overall, I found the service to be good. I could have saved a visit had I completely inspected my camera before I left the store on my first return visit -- i.e., checked both LCD screens, taken and reviewed sample photos to ensure camera function, focus and clarity, etc. That said, I'm happy with my repaired camera. Shocked Electronics is a valuable community resource that helps people to maximize the longevity of their investments in equipment. Store Policies: - Repairs are warranted for 30 days from completion of repair, and only covers the issues repaired. - Make sure you check the repair before you leave the store. - Customers have 14 days to collect their repaired item. Otherwise, the store has the right at 30 days to discard or use parts from the item to repair other items. Other: Shocked Electronics is located on the 2nd Floor, up one flight of stairs. I did not see an elevator.
