I want to first start by stating that we should have checked the Yelp reviews for this business before trusting it. Shame on us because we did not and are now worse for wear. About a month ago, my wife offered to take my dress shirts to be dry cleaned and tried Prince Cleaners for the first time by Mukilteo Speedway because it's close to our home. It's worth noting that I normally use a different dry cleaners and have never had an issue at the other cleaners. Drop-off was on 9/14. Pickup was on 9/19. 12 dress shirts. Due to the fact I don't wear dress shirts everyday I did not "unwrap" and review each one right away. Furthermore, no one at Prince Cleaners indicated to my wife that there were any issues. So, I did what I normally do: keep all of the shirts in the plastic until I want to grab one out to wear. Sometimes my dry cleaning can sit untouched for weeks. In hindsight I would have inspected all of the shirts right away had I known we used this new cleaners. All that aside, two of my shirts had what appear to be tears or cuts around the elbow areas on both arms. The tears/cuts varied in size. The shirts are ruined. The worst part of this all is one of the torn/cut shirts had been meticulously maintained for 25 years (barely wearing it) because it was the first dress shirt my late mother purchased for me as a newly young man. That shirt is shown in my photos. Wanting to give the owner a chance to explain and or make things right I tried calling. From the very beginning of the call it became extremely clear that this business is NOT SOMEWHERE ANY REASONABLE PERSON SHOULD DO BUSINESS WITH. When I asked for the owner by name his reply was "Yeah." He spoke with what came across as a complete disinterest in me or disregard for my situation. He asked me to spell my name easily a dozen times at which point I refused to continue because I was convinced he was doing so to frustrate me. It's not a difficult name to spell but the owner made it seem like the seven letters were impossible to remember / write down. Additionally he kept interrupting me before I could even finish spelling my name. When trying to describe what had happened to my shirts all he would say is "I don't know...I don't know." Then in the middle of continuing to describe my situation he just hung up on me. There are too many options in the area for dry cleaning to ever consider going to Prince Cleaners. If you decide to go anyway, my advice is proceed with extreme caution.

Came in to wash 4 large blankets and was guided with expert recommendations on which washer and which dryer to use for an optimal clean and efficient dry. The coolest part is that the owner just gave me the best, straightforward advice. Cost was: $25 total for my 4 very large blankets (a couple of them were King size Pendletons, for reference). Great deal and affordable!! NOTEWORTHY PROS And Bonuses of this place: *Various washer sizes, including a very large "plus size" powerful washer for oversized items or simply weeks worth of laundry! (I had never seen this size of a machine before... It was amazing) - all the way down to an extra small washer for folks who just have a few items that need to be washed *A fun kids play area, to keep those kiddos entertained and occupied *A nice Café with additional café seating. (I personally always find myself wanting a snack or a drink while I'm doing my laundry.) *Lovely personable staff and owner *Did I mention it's VERY CLEAN?!! Washers, dryers, floor, play area, café, restroom - all spotless *Multiple pay options: cash, card or Dexter app! makes for an extremely easy process. You don't have to search for quarters although if you wanted to use them, of course you can! I live very close to this location, but if I didn't I would still come back. Recommend checking them out

There are already some good and bad changes: GOOD: Now it is open seven (7) days a week. The previous owners closed it on Saturdays, for religious reasons, and had religious posters near the entrance. GOOD: In the self-serve area of machines, there are more employees out on the floor that you can get assistance from. BAD: The staff is out in front because they are doing more commercial accounts, and the staff is using self-service machines for those pick-up-and-deliver customers. BAD: Few of the staff speak English very well. BAD: They will not unlock the nice bathroom near the front of the building to let self-serve customers use it. Instead, they direct us to the staff bathroom in back which has no working light bulb in it. You have to bring your own flashlight if you wish to use the restroom.

I looked online early yesterday morning and found Sunshine Laundry here in Lynnwood. After calling, I went to their address at the time they opened. A lovely woman helped me. She took the baga of dirty clothes from me. We discussed whether she would use our "free and clear" detergent or theirs, the water temperatures for the various items, and when the order would be ready. She wrote her name, Neme, and the price, $50, on a piece of paper. She asked me for my name and phone number, which I wrote on a sales slip form she gave me. Ulimately, she wound up writing "$50.00" and Friday on that sales slip. I took photos of both pieces of paper. [The differences between Neme's handwriting and mine are obvious.] Today, Friday, at the time she had told me our clothes would be ready, I returned to the laundry. A lovely young woman behind the counter got the bags with our clothes and gave me a bill for $70.01. I explained to her that Neme had quoted a price of $50 (which I had paid her yesterday morning). She repeated that the price was $70.01. I repeated that Neme had told me it would be $50 and began looking for the document photos on my phone. She went to the back and returned with Neme. Her lovely face had turned into a frown. She acted as though she neither understood nor spoke English. All she did was vigorously shake her head. The younger woman told me the $50 had just been "a deposit," I told her that word had never been used. I had been told that the charge would be $50, which Neme had wanted in advance (and which I had given to her). Ultimately, in order to get our hostage-clothes back, I paid her another $20.00. I'm not sure what their game is. The store does not even display the name "Sunshine" any place I could see. It says something like "Splash and Dash" on-site. The good news is: just looking at them, our clothes seem OK. Would I ever use this laundry (whatever its mame is) again? And get ripped off? Again? I would rather go naked!
