    Breakfast

Very nice Bar Harbor B&B, situated walking distance to the waterfront. The room and bed were very comfortable, but the pillows were awful: hard and inflexible. I woke up with a neck ache! Management: please purchase soft lush pillows of equivalent standard to this otherwise fine establishment t! Breakfast was delightful, staff was gracious and friendly. In all, a fine place.

As a visitor. we had a fantastic stay at Primrose Inn. We were in the Holland room which has a second room with a daybed and small seating area. It's no more that a 10 minute walk to Main Street so the location is perfect for shopping, bars and dining options. The food here? Oh my goodness- the food is so delicious. For daily breakfast, you can choose from a sweet or a savory and I'm pretty sure you'll love either one. At 4pm each day, they put out a fresh baked snack and it's all so delicious. All. So. Delicious We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Loved our stay at this quaint bed and breakfast. Such lovely rooms. Clean and comfortable. Seating for breakfast was socially distanced, yet comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of eggs, pancakes, and muffins. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to visiting again.

The freshly baked goods offered during afternoon tea change every day.

We booked a one bedroom at the Primrose Inn for 3 nights in August and were very happy with our stay. Anna and Tyler looked after us and made our visit so pleasant. They even arranged to have our breakfast packed to go when we needed to leave early one morning for a puffin tour. And speaking of breakfast, the food here is incredible! It was one of the main reasons why we chose to stay here and it surely did not disappoint. As others have mentioned, the b&b is about a 10 min walk to town which was nice. They also have a dedicated parking spot for you in their lot which was convenient.

We really are loving our time at the Primrose. We saw it was highly rated online and looked beautiful so we decided to give it a try. Their hospitality is second to none, and they truly live up to their name as "A bar Harbor Treasure." The rooms are spacious and well decorated, and have a nineteenth century vibe so you can look extra classy in any photos you might take during your stay ;) One of our favorite features was the daily breakfast- the staff will bring you a delicious full breakfast in the common area or outside if needed. The menu is different every day and they provide spices and seasonings and edible flowers directly from their garden. This place is a gem! We recommend only bringing a small amount of food along with you during your stay however- we usually pack a little food to eat instead of going out too much during covid, and thought there might be a mini fridge or microwave in the room but there is just a small mini fridge for all the guests downstairs. However the staff was more than happy to heat up the 2 meals we brought along with us in their microwave in the staff kitchen. They threw it on a hand painted tray and made us feel extra fancy heading up to our room for an evening meal. Overall, a wonderful experience! We are watching them plant part of the epic spring garden now so enjoy if you are visiting later than mid-April. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel is close to the town. The businesses and harbor are within walking distance, and very close to get to parts of Acadia national park. Cadillac mountain was very accessible from this hotel.

My husband and I came to bar harbor and stayed here for a weekend get away. We had the best time! This inn was so very cute. Tea time everyday was such an amazing idea! I would get a coffee and a little snack then back to my room to read by the fireplace. We will definitely be staying here again whenever we come back to bar harbor. Also the breakfast everyday were magical. Such a unique menu everyday! We had such a nice host as well, Juliana you are the best!!

    The Primrose Inn

Just spent 4 nights at The Primrose and it was absolutely amazing!!! Beautiful bed n breakfast with an amazing staff. Brandon the inn keeper has developed a great staff that could not have treated us any better. The attention to detail and care for us could not have been any better. Jill was incredibly friendly and accommodating to us each and every day. And her genuine friendliness will definitely lead her to bigger and better things for her. Kiki the head chef made incredibly unique and delicious choices for breakfast each day. Rosa the chef we had the first two days was equally creative and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Finally Orlando looked after us and any needs or wants we had in our rooms. I will definitely be back and recommend staying at The Primrose !! Thanks again to all the The Primrose staff!!

We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Beehive Suite. It was a bit of a trek going up and down as many times as we did, especially with heavy luggage, but we loved the room and the view!!!! And we never heard a single other guest during our stay. They have a great HVAC system that keeps the third floor very cool. And the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a parking space for a car for every room. When we arrived, we got a thorough welcoming from Matt. He showed us on a map some suggestions of where to eat. The inn is an easy walk from the town and about a five minute drive from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We didn't partake in breakfast, but saw many others enjoying it. They have a beautiful deck with plenty of seating, and Adirondack chairs in the yard to enjoy the stars. They keep the lights and music on all night, so no matter when you arrive home, you feel comfortable and safe. The only thing that we missed was access to ice. There is a tiny machine in the breakfast room, but that only makes enough ice for about 3 drinks for the whole place. We had to buy ice at the Circle K every day and keep it in our cooler in the room for our water bottles and cocktails. If you ever travel to Bar Harbor, this is the place to stay!!! Best view ever!!!

There's so much character and thought placed into designing every nook and cranny of this Inn. The front desk lady was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was quite small - barely fitting a queen size bed in the room, leaving minimal walking space. Our bathroom was also very small. It had a toilet, a small sink, and a very narrow shower. We didn't mind the size of the room because we spent most of our time hiking around Acadia. The staff at Maples Inn was very kind and shared some of their favorite hikes and their tips and tricks into finding the best experiences. The lobby also has a few snacks that are perfect grab and go for the trails. Their breakfast is also tasty, delicious and cooked on order! One thing to note is that they have 2 small, gravel parking spots on either side of the inn. They will also provide a parking permit for your car that will cover street parking during the dates of your stay at the inn. During peak season, I can only imagine how hard it must be to find parking nearby though.

(The 4th one was from Cadillac Summit.) Our room was spacious with one of the most comfortable comforters I've felt. We had a keurig machine, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. Appreciated the heater in the bathroom. Loved being greeted by the geese family on property in the morning and afternoon just outside our balcony. Our balcony had a couple of chairs with a table. We noticed the room beside us had a couch and bar stools in their balcony. While our balcony had cobwebs in every ceiling corner (lots of spiders on the railing), we were still able to enjoy the majestic sunrise views.
