    Robins Nest room
    Kendall N.

This was our absolute favorite stay on our trip from Boston up the coast of Maine for our first week away as a married couple. We stayed in the Robins Nest room and it was beautiful, spacious and had the cutest fireplace. The room was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, it was very quiet, and it was the perfect spot to relax after a day of hiking. When we arrived, Eric greeted us and walked us around the house before showing us to our room. There was coffee, tea and pastries available all afternoon and a delicious breakfast (also a grab and go option if you're wanting to get up to Acadia early). They accommodated our dietary restrictions and the food was fresh and delicious. Eric also provided us with a few great dinner recommendations and was helpful anytime we had questions about Bar Harbor and Acadia. We felt like we were absolutely among friends here and appreciated the company. Everyone was respectful of covid restrictions and minded their space while maintaining a high level of friendliness. It was just a quick 5 minute walk to the heart of Bar Harbor and a 5 minute drive to the entrance of Acadia. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay and if we venture back to Bar Harbor, we would absolutely stay again. My husband loved our stay so much, he would love to stay in B&Bs on all of our other vacations as well. We would absolutely recommend the Holbrook House to anyone coming to the area!

An absolute gem! We LOVED every second of our stay in the Lafayette Suite, my husband and I had the joy of staying here for 2 nights around 4th of July weekend - it did not disappoint! We arrived and were greeted by the awesome bnb host, who explained all the logistics of breakfast etc, and guided us on a tour through the house and surrounding areas. We were then shown into our room, which is unattached to the main building, and has a small semi-private parking lot closer to our room. The room was stunning. SUPER clean, plenty of space, and wonderfully cozy. The bed was cloud-like comfortable and we fell asleep so soundly each night! The bathroom was massive and there's a rain shower (heaven!) to boot. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and we had breakfast our first morning there. It was delicious, we were served monte cristo sandwiches (which were delicious!) and fresh fruit. For the second morning, we opted to explore town and check out a local eatery. The hospitality was unbeatable, the location was within walking distance to everything in town, and the room was stunning. A definite recommendation if you're headed in the area!!

We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Beehive Suite. It was a bit of a trek going up and down as many times as we did, especially with heavy luggage, but we loved the room and the view!!!! And we never heard a single other guest during our stay. They have a great HVAC system that keeps the third floor very cool. And the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a parking space for a car for every room. When we arrived, we got a thorough welcoming from Matt. He showed us on a map some suggestions of where to eat. The inn is an easy walk from the town and about a five minute drive from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We didn't partake in breakfast, but saw many others enjoying it. They have a beautiful deck with plenty of seating, and Adirondack chairs in the yard to enjoy the stars. They keep the lights and music on all night, so no matter when you arrive home, you feel comfortable and safe. The only thing that we missed was access to ice. There is a tiny machine in the breakfast room, but that only makes enough ice for about 3 drinks for the whole place. We had to buy ice at the Circle K every day and keep it in our cooler in the room for our water bottles and cocktails. If you ever travel to Bar Harbor, this is the place to stay!!! Best view ever!!!

There's so much character and thought placed into designing every nook and cranny of this Inn. The front desk lady was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was quite small - barely fitting a queen size bed in the room, leaving minimal walking space. Our bathroom was also very small. It had a toilet, a small sink, and a very narrow shower. We didn't mind the size of the room because we spent most of our time hiking around Acadia. The staff at Maples Inn was very kind and shared some of their favorite hikes and their tips and tricks into finding the best experiences. The lobby also has a few snacks that are perfect grab and go for the trails. Their breakfast is also tasty, delicious and cooked on order! One thing to note is that they have 2 small, gravel parking spots on either side of the inn. They will also provide a parking permit for your car that will cover street parking during the dates of your stay at the inn. During peak season, I can only imagine how hard it must be to find parking nearby though.

(The 4th one was from Cadillac Summit.) Our room was spacious with one of the most comfortable comforters I've felt. We had a keurig machine, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. Appreciated the heater in the bathroom. Loved being greeted by the geese family on property in the morning and afternoon just outside our balcony. Our balcony had a couple of chairs with a table. We noticed the room beside us had a couch and bar stools in their balcony. While our balcony had cobwebs in every ceiling corner (lots of spiders on the railing), we were still able to enjoy the majestic sunrise views. They serve a continental breakfast every morning at 0700. Mid-day they serve charcuterie, cookies, fruits with refreshing infused water, tea&coffee. I seriously looked forward to waking up every day just so I could find out what the breakfast options were. My husband likes sweet and I like savory so we always each ordered one and shared. Again, seriously the best breakfasts I've had in my life!! As if that wasn't enough, they provide daily afternoon "tea time" snacks too! The baked goods were heavenly! We would 100% recommend it to friends and we plan to visit again one day!
