I've been coming here for quite a few years now and I'm happy to say that the food and service have been good overall. I've tried about half the menu and have never been disappointed. My two favorites are the Reuben, (of course) and something called a John Day Special. It's an everything bagel with avacado, lettuce, black olives and cream cheese. Delightful! The atmosphere is nice, with a lived-in look. For those wanting a bright, modern look, this isn't for you. The beer selection is large and well stocked. I swing by on a regular basis. Go on a Friday or Saturday and get the clam chowder. Seriously. My one year old even ate some. It is that good. I went with the classic Reuben and it did not dissapoint. Pretty much every sandwich is amazing. Except for the tongue one. I have never had it. And I will never try it. Blah! They have a great beer selection. I love finding places like this. The place doesn't look like much from the road, and the decor is mostly beer signs and kitschy. But the food! The food is classic deli style. Tasty, fresh and big! They have a large selection of beers from around the world and craft beers too. The service was friendly and attentive. After many recommendations, we finally went to Primo's. When they put the basket of chips on the table, I knew this would be good. The beer selection was a pleasant surprise. A dozen or so beers on tap, from domestic to craft brew. Our friendly waitress gladly brought me a sample to help with the decision. The wall of beer was pretty cool, and I look forward to sampling more. The signature Italian is an excellent sandwich. The pastrami was a bit disappointing. We ordered from Primos (on V odom Blvd) for dinner today at work. I went on line to view the menu and decided on the pierogies...heres what the menu said: four potato and cheese pasta pockets w/ grilled onions and sour cream......$6.29 ..... a few of us placed our order and once we received the order, mine only had 2 pierogies in it...i called to see what happened ( the phone was busy for 45 minutes straight ) and finally got to someone, i advised her of the situation and she replied: you only get 2 in the order...i advised her the menu said 4....her response was " well, we updated the menu a few MONTHS ago... i contacted our web-guy and he obviously didn't change it" ( is this MY fault?) and advised her that i wouldn't pay $6.29 for 2 pierogies.....she advised nothing she can do...i advised her that I would NOT be back............. I mean are you serious? This is NOT how you run a business. She should have stood behind her MENU and PRINT on line.... I'm appalled at her response and am disgusted by her attitude......... P.s. the piergoies were horrid...Mrs. T's taste better...... BOO on you , Primos! read more

I wasted 1 hour waiting for lunch today. Left without getting it. Customer that came in 2 tables after I got there got their food before mine when I asked the manager /owner not sure said it will still be several minutes. We decided to leave, sorry work schedule. His answer to us was I can't do anything when it's busy. Thanks for the courtesy, I say with a sarcastic voice. I'd that's customer service, wow is all I can say. My husband and I just came from lunch at Primo's, a place we have eaten many times over the years. Unfortunately, this was my last. I actually did not even get to eat my lunch, due to the incredibly awful service. I ordered my sandwich (the Carla special) without sprouts (absolutely cannot eat them.) When our food arrived, a person other than our server dropped it off at the table. As he walked away, I noticed that there were sprouts on the sandwich. Not many, but they were tucked throughout the layers of the sandwich as if someone had realized they weren't supposed to be there and attempted to pick them off before bringing it to my table. We waited a full 15 minutes for our server to reappear in the room to request another sandwich. It was busy in the dining room but our server was nowhere to be found. I find it to be bad service when someone does not check on the order immediately, but waiting 15 minutes is utterly ridiculous. By the time she finally reappeared, I had to FLAG her down to come to our table! I explained the problem and she took my plate back to the kitchen. I then started the timer. Five minutes later, my sandwich had still not reappeared and my husband had LONG finished his own sandwich. The Carla special, by the way, is all veggies and is not cooked. I could make it myself in 30 seconds. Our server continued to pay us no attention, so we put money on the table for the food that was actually consumed, and we left. I have never done this before in my life, and as my husband and I work in the service industry, we are usually very understanding in restaurants. But there really is no excuse for being an absent server and for not immediately correcting an incorrect order. read more

I have an internal struggle that is ripping me apart inside. Primos has won and is now going to have to be the first place I go when i come in from Texas. This was only my second time to eat here, but both experiences left me stuffed beyond normal and burping up delicious re-tastes of all the great bottles of beer I've just polished off. Walking in to this unassuming spot, you look around, the walls are covered, and in one corner there's a glowing 10 ft wall of craft beers of all shapes and sizes. This helps wash down the deliciously simple potato chips they serve while you wait. Primos also happens to be the site of my first Pastrami Reuben. Holy moley. This is some good shit. The gooey, meaty, cheesey, sauerkrauty mass of a sandwich left me drooling. I will stick to this good thing. The service was fantastic and the prices are reasonable. We had a group of 30, split between three tables and they didn't bat an eye. I can not wait for my next trip to the frigid north. Thank you Primos, you really are the best. read more

I'll echo the majority of reviewers and say that this excellent and inexpensive option just off I-77 doesn't look like much. In the heart of the recession-ravaged Rolling Acres neighborhood, it's in one of the many dilapidated strip malls in the area. Trust me, good things await inside. I suppose Primo's is a deli, but I've always thought of it as more of a sandwich-centric beer lover's restaurant. They have all the deli classics, and the servings are properly large for a deli, but the menu is more eclectic and interesting than most delis. The sides are made in house, and the coleslaw and baked beans are two particularly worthy options. The best part to me is the beer. No less than 100 options for carryout (dine-in, too, with an upcharge) and always a rotating list of interesting varieties on tap. Service is friendly and prompt, but it can get crowded and you may have a wait for a seat on some days. Note that they're closed Sunday and Monday. read more

The atmosphere makes you feel as if you're sitting in someone's living room. The eclectic display of beer is so fun! We got the Italian sub and some sort of burger. Both solid choices. Drink selection is excellent. Beers from all over, good wine selection. Prices may seem a little high for a sandwich but you will never complain about the amount of food you get for the price. Discovered Primo's about 2 months ago and have been a frequent, happy customer ever since. The BLT, chili, and tuna melt are a few of my favorites. Having been convinced to try the tongue sandwich I'm now a very surprised fan of that as well. The unlimited supply of chips, when eating in, is a welcome feature.
