I love zubs it's been our go to spot for years now. Staff are chill, prices are fair and the patio is nice. I never win at the claw machine which is tragic but other than that we love it here bring back the large Marge sammy thank you

Definitely have had more positive experiences here since the pandemic when it was extremely hit or miss in terms of safety. I've gone a few times over the past year and continue to enjoy the quality of the deli sandwiches. Ordered one that included corned beef, pastrami, and cap reuben style as I added thousand island. The other was a mortadella and salami Italian with 4 cheese cream cheese on a bagel! Counter service pizza shop vibes with bar seating on the other side.

Time ordered and pickup time. 1 hour and 24 minutes difference.

Mr. Zub's used to be a favorite of mine. Now I'm done giving them chance after chance. TL:DR The food is bad and the service is worse. Let's start with the service. I ordered online, a very common activity in 2025, and when I received the confirmation email, my pickup time was for 1 1/2 hours later. This is a sandwich shop, that can't be right. So I called and it went to voicemail. Maybe they were busy so I tried 2 more times over a few minutes. Voicemail. I decided to go there immediately because either I'm getting my food earlier than 1 1/2 hours or I'm cancelling my order and getting refunded. I arrive and they seem very apathetic to my experience but my food will be ready in 5 minutes. For a Saturday night, they are slow imo, so maybe I'm not the only one fed up with their service. 10 minutes later I have my food and I leave. By the way, no one is at the counter anymore, they have a kiosk to order from. For the food. I get the food home and my Vincent Gambini, which is an Italian sub, is cold (I have an insulated bag because I get a lot of takeout and want my food to remain hot) and the hoagie is untoasted. They used to toast the bread and grill the meat but that seems to be a thing of the past. The tater tots were barely warm and verging on soggy. Same with the mozzarella sticks. This wasn't the first time I've been disappointed with Zubs but it will be my last. Hopefully a better business can take their place.

A wide selection of funky hot and cold sandwiches to choose from! Came here after a recent round of golf, and the weather was decent enough for me to sit on their outdoor patio and enjoy my lunch in the sunshine. The Rocky Balboa option was solid...a philly cheesesteak style sub served on a hoagie roll topped with grilled, lean steak, onions, green peppers, provolone cheese and slathered with mayo. Their tots were crispy and plentiful, but could have used a bit of seasoning. With so many options to choose from, I will most certainly be back to give a few other sandwiches a try.

    Burnt grill bits on sandwich

Against my better judgement I gave them a second chance...they won't get a third. Tater tots undercooked and falling apart. Only way to eat them was with a spoon. Royal Tannenbaum aka Rueben was beyond disgusting. The bread was not grilled or toasted, they forgot the 1000 island dressing, burnt grill bits throughout the sandwich, majority of sauerkraut on one half of the sandwich and the corned beef was like jerky. If you're using DoorDash beware that it's a possibility to not get your whole order if they are out of something. The last time we ordered only 1 of the 3 people in our family got their order. You are not told that they are out of something nor asked if you'd like something different. They just cancel whatever you ordered that they are out of and family members are left with no food. The only thing I can say was the ambience great because we were at home. You should expect sub par food...that is if you get food at all.

Fun atmosphere here. It's not like a typical deli, but more of a bar and sandwich place. Mr. Zubs is a longtime favorite with the University of Akron scene. Lots of booths. They also have a bar to get a drink with a sub. A thing like a regular deli in here is there's a counter. It's where orders are taken for sandwiches and other food. They bring it out to you. It's so crazy busy here at nights so it can take awhile. Luckily they have a bar you can drink at while waiting for your sandwich. I had the Margo Tenenbaum to eat. This is one of the vegetarian choices on the menu. It's about $5, so it's cheap. This comes with cucumbers, hummus, and radish. It's not like a normal deli. It's more fun. The prices are cheap for what you get for this.

So we were on a search for a great Philly cheesesteak. We decided on this place. We got there and it's the type of place where you go up to the counter, order and wait to be called. First, we were hoping they had some sort of cheese whiz type of cheese you could get on the Philly (like an authentic Philly) they said that all they had was the nacho cheese that they serve with their sides. We are cool with that. We were going to get 2 orders of cheese fries anyhow. Whoops Actually, they are out of the cheese sauce. Huge bummer but we can order the teasers instead. Ouch. Out of those too. We got our subs after waiting about 10-15 minutes which we didn't mind but oh man... they were just disappointing. Just dry, wrong kind of cheese and just utterly lacking flavor. Probably won't revisit

Pretty decent sandwiches. I had the Rocky Balboa cheesesteak. It was decent, not amazing. My wife the Uncle Buck which was a Rachel style sandwich. She was disappointed that it was placed on a griddle, the bread was just toasted. We shared an order of tater tots which was huge. It's a place where you go to the counter to order and then grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. They also have a bar there that you can get drinks at and sit. Huge menu.

Burnt pizza and over cooked wings yummy and for the low low price of $45 dollars you too can have vinegar for ranch lol

Why am I paying $15 for a sub with stale bread? I keep asking myself this question this place has gone downhill.

Please ditch the unnecessary thick bread on the Ruben. It totally takes away from the sandwich.
