Just had lunch at Primos. What a disappointment. $36 for two subpar sandwiches and a cup of watered down gumbo. Brisket was overdone and no flavor except salty. The second star is because the cans of pop and bag of chips were as expected. Won't be back. read more

Cadillac's HIDDEN GEM Not many reviews on this place so we decided to give it a try! You walk in to a market-like atmosphere with many beer and drink options to choose from! After the quick glance, comes the amazing, prompt service at the BBQ counter! The foot traffic in and out of the place was constant! To-go orders as well as in-house orders were non-stop! As far as the food...The choices are plenty! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, baked beans and Mac & cheese. All of which were moist and delicious! The sides had a portion of brisket mixed in which made them extra tasty! Only one choice of bbq sauce was provided, but it was nothing to complain about! All food was very delicious! Across the room was a beer/cider tasting area! They offer flights for beer & cider so we tasted all of the ciders! The Triple Jam & Apple Pie were amongst our favorites!! Needless to say, we are BBQ fanatics and try BBQ places whenever we're out of town! This place is definitely a 5 for food, service and drinks! I'd recommend checking it out if you're if you love tasty foods and delicious ciders! We'll definitely be back to try more next time we're in town! We used to love this bbq place but every time we order meat now by the VERY EXPENSIVE pound it's all fat and inedible hard bits from over smoking! So we pay for two pounds and maybe get 1/2 pound edible meat! We are DONE ordering from this business for now Which is sad because they are a Christian based business fallen short of good help (teen workers who just do NOT care) and customer service clueless.. like everyone else.. too busy staring at their phones. read more

I have never been to this place but I've been told many times that it is a very good barbecue joint to go to. I went here yesterday trying to pick up something for dinner... It was a bit of a pain to actually get into the parking lot as there is no distinctive way into the restaurant and the snow makes it very difficult to figure out where the entrance is.... But once I got in there and I made my way to the counter to place an order, I passed someone just hanging out by the counter... As I passed him he starts mumbling in a low tone that is barely audible while trying to pull his pants up from around his knees.... I then asked him "What" as I legitimately did not hear him through his mumbling... Turns out he's the cook, and he just told me that he shut down the deli/ barbecue. If I want anything I need to go out to the beer garden tent to get some snacks.... How is I supposed to know that the store was closed? There's no sign on the door or in the window or out by the road..... With that plan completely ruined. I left and took my business elsewhere.... And I don't think I will be coming back.... We ordered food from Primo's for my father's memorial service. My husband went to pick it up, and he called a few minutes later to tell us the restaurant had messed up badly. They didn't have the order prepared, and although my sister had confirmed--twice--that they would make vegetarian baked beans (no bacon or brisket in them), they told my husband that, oops, they hadn't made any. The only beans they had were those with meat in them. I got on the phone with them. "You'll get that order together right now while my husband waits, and the beans will be free," I said. "I can't authorize that," the woman on the phone said. "The only person who can do that is Jason." "Then get Jason on the line." "He's not in today." After we continued to insist, Primo's reluctantly agreed to take the beans off the bill. But when my husband arrived at the memorial with the food, we discovered Primo's had just given us a pile of shredded, dry meat and containers of barbecue sauce. The meat hadn't even been simmered in the sauce. We could have gotten better from the supermarket. Don't ever to go to Primo's in Cadillac. They're incompetent, and their food is awful. read more

Ordered food for carryout, including a tray of brisket. Unbeknownst to me the staff person packed the greasy brisket in a tray with a hole in it, which left a large puddle of grease in my oven where I placed it to keep it warm; also on my countertop. How could this staff person not see grease on the counter when they lifted the tray to place in the box with the other foods, and place it in another tray? It will be a while (maybe never) before I patronize this establishment again. Also the mac and cheese was "gloppy", It tasted like flour was not adequately cooked in the cheese sauce. read more

Went to have some bbq from this little place. The ribs were great and it took all I could muster to eat all of it. The sauces that they make was fantastic and had just the right heat for us. It is in a store like setting but there are some tables in one corner to set and enjoy. We could of had pulled pork but we wanted ribs. The price was very reasonable and would fit almost any budget. Glad we added the salad because their portion size for the 2 sides that came with the family pack were small! Unfortunately the brisket was really dry - sad about that. Just finished dinner from Primos. Everything was fantastic! We had the pulled pork and brisket, smoke Mac & cheese, smoked cheesy potatoes and Cole slaw. Everything was delicious. Really liked the Cole slaw. It is a mix of milk- based and vinegar slaw. Very tasty. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The sweet pickles are a nice touch. Stopped by while traveling back home. We like to avoid literal fast food and shoot for solid food that's quick. After scanning reviews we settled on this bbq joint. I was disappointed to say the least. When walking up to the counter there were a lot of large flies zipping around the food. The sides were sitting out in warming pans that were partly covered w lids. So the flies were off putting.... We ordered some "parfaits". One with pork and one w brisket. Both had the potatoes and beans. The potatoes were dried out and the brisket was a little too fatty. Maybe it was an off day for them idk but we don't feel compelled to return. This is what I've been waiting for and am just sorry it took me so long to try Primos. When everything I've heard has been nothing but raves, coming from same people whose opinions I have found different from my own, I was hesitant. During this health crisis I have found these guys more than willing to help me protect my personal well being. Thank you! So, I decided yesterday to include barbecue for dinner with my deli order.
