This is perfectly cromulent Mexican food. Little Mexico scratches that itch for Mexican food when you're in Cadillac, for the most part. They messed up our to-go order badly, in that they forgot to give us 50% of what we ordered. No worries, though. One phone call, and they promptly refunded us for what they didn't give us. Sweet! That was very nice of Little Mexico. They were good at making good on what went bad. The other 50% of the food that we did receive tasted fine. We got the Enchiladas Little Mexico, which is one cheese enchilada, one chicken enchilada and one carnitas enchilada. The refried beans were tasty, and the combination of different enchiladas was nice, but the rice tasted like instant rice. Was it? I don't know, but that is my suspicion. I have been going here for a couple years and bringing friends from all over the state, and friends from Canada. It is Worth the 45 min drive , The food is amazing! My favorite burrito and many people I bring is the, "Party burrito." There are many people I have brought here and nobody has ever had a bad meal or service. Really good salsa and warm chips. This was M115 Cadillac location. We love the one off Boon rd. Ordered 2 choripollo dishes. Someone scraped the pan and served it up, Burnt chorizo. Not the same as other location. Waitress asked if meal was good? I remarked chorizo was burnt. She said you don't like chorizo? I said we love it. This was burnt. She said some people think ours is to spicy. I gave up. We just happened upon this restaurant on our way home from an Up North hike. I can't describe how good my vegetarian entree was! It was Vegie Fajitas and was heavenly! So much food, and LOTS of wonderful grilled vegetables. I already want to go back to get this entree again! My dining companions all got burritos, and they were pleased with how good they were. Food was great. I had the Carne Asada Tacos and they were really good. Others at the table had the Quesadillas and Fajitas. They loved the food and the portion sizes. Only negative was the strawberry frozen margarita. It had no flavor and tasted pretty much like flavorless ice. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back. read more

We almost went to a Mexican restaurant down the road when I decided to check yelp and see the reviews. Well that place averaged 3 stars so I decided to check out Mexican restaurants in the area and this one popped up with more reviews and 4-1/2 stars so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did !! The service was friendly and quick and all the food was delicious. The chips were crispy and fresh, the salsa was delicious, and my burrito entree was awesome. It came with rice and refried beans and I got a side of jalapeños. They asked if I wanted the jalapeños fresh or pico, which I had never been asked before. Big decision! I decided to go with pico and they were perfect and I got quite a nice sized bowl of them. This place is in a strip mall and definitely not easy to find. You have to know what you're looking for or it's easy to miss. It's worth a try and I would definitely come here again next time I'm in the area. Oh, and I could see into the back room and the guys doing the cooking all had gloves in! Nice clean place. read more

Don't bother to ask them a question about the menu or the drink items that they sell, they have no clue. When you call and ask for a manager, for some reason, the manager is never there. The food is authentic and delicious. We just moved from Northern California and I am accustomed to really good authentic Mexican food. This restaurant did not disappoint. Headed to Culvers for dinner and decided to check out LITTLE MEXICO instead. What a great decision that turned out to be! It's a small place, and a little difficult to find because they do not have a lit sign indicating the restaurant. The people are wonderful, the food is wonderful, although a little heavy on the cilantro for my tastes, (easily fixed by asking to leave it off.) . Chips and salsa are fabulous. All in all a great experience! (FYI - it must be authentic because much of the clientele appears to be Mexican.) Treat yourself and check this place out! read more

Was headed home from northern Michigan and needed some protein, so we pulled into this little Mexican place. I ordered a couple barbacoa tacos, and was very pleased. Each had two soft corn tortillas and the amount of meat in each one was very impressive. It was nicely flavored, topped with diced onion and cilantro. Lime wedges added a little zip. Ended up ordering the chorizo con huevos and the taco dinner (x3 chorizo tacos). Value: 10/10 At under $10/entree, this place won't break the bank, and the portions are extremely generous. You also get free chips and salsa (+ free refills!) Authenticity: I am a huge fan of chorizo, and I must say this was one of the best I have had in a while. The hot salsa and green salsa that came with the tacos were really great too. 10/10 Service: The individuals who work at this place are incredibly. We came in and it was pretty empty. We were seated immediately. Within the next 10 minutes, all the tables were filled. Despite it being busy, the waitress was still kind and prompt in taking our order and making sure we were taken care of. I am impressed by the hospitality the staff here shows.
