If you have something to address with an employee.. do it respectfully and privately. Not in front of coworkers, and especially not in the presence of customers. A pleasant dining experience is directly related to a pleasant low stress work environment. Disgruntled and stressed employees do not make for a positive experience for the customer. They were served over a generous bed of seasoned peas but, you are buying the scallops not the peas. Entrees we selected were a just satisfying portion size and tasted excellent as well. We usually like to take home some of our main entrees for a later small meal but we ended up eating them both in restaurant. One thing important to note of importance to local diners is that entrees do not come with sides or salads. They must be ordered separately. Portions could have been maybe 8% to 10% bigger. We had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night and were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty--maybe four occupied tables and a few people at the bar. Despite how quiet it was and the number of staff working, service was slow and inattentive from the start. When my husband asked for a beer list, our server simply said they didn't have one and that they had "a lager, a local pale ale, and something else." She didn't know the breweries or offer to find out. When our drinks arrived, I eventually had to ask her to remove the unused wine glasses from our small four-top since I was the only person drinking wine. We ordered a Caesar salad to share as a starter, which took an unusually long time to arrive and was delivered without plates. Throughout the meal, the open kitchen also seemed surprisingly chaotic. On three separate occasions we heard dishes or glassware being dropped and breaking. Unfortunately, the food wasn't what we remembered either. We ordered dishes we'd enjoyed on previous visits, but the quality was noticeably different. The pasta was gummy and tasted almost reheated rather than freshly made, and the sauces were heavy instead of the fresh, homemade sauces we remembered. Even little touches were missing, like offering freshly grated cheese with the Caesar salad or pasta. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't busy and appeared to have plenty of staff, so there really wasn't an obvious reason for such poor service. Between the food quality, inattentive service, and prices, the experience simply wasn't worth what we paid. We used to really enjoy Vintner's Table, which makes this review disappointing to write. Based on this visit, though, we won't be returning anytime soon.

Whoa now, a new Italian restaurant right up the road? You had my curiosity, but now you have my…read moreattention! At this stage in my life, I will never not eat at a new Italian restaurant. They simply offer everything I want. Subs, salads, pizza, strombolis, pasta... OH MAN. Those are the true five food groups right there. I wish I grew up in an Italian family so I could eat those ev day. So, what does Nino's do well? The chicken in their chicken pasta dishes i.e. Marsala and piccata. So juicy and tender. They pound it out, flour it up, and sauté it in a pan. Really locks in the juices. Love the fact that you can choose your pasta in each dish as well. They aren't forcing spaghetti down your throat. Go with whatever floats your boat - fettuccini, linguini, penne, rigatoni, ziti, or my personal favorite: angel hair. One bummer about the piccata - I had to add my capers and red pepper flakes. Ok, red pepper isn't required per se, but capers? That's a main ingredient, isn't it? Luckily I had a little jar in my fridge ready to go. Oh, and the Marsala sauce was kinda weak to be honest. Wasn't really enough sauce to cover all the pasta and what little sauce was there didn't have a whole lot of flavor. The Antipasto salad was good. Lots of meat. People who get Antipasto salads or chef salads of Italian salads get them for the meat. They want to eat lots of meat but give the appearance of eating healthy to onlookers because of the lettuce factor. "Hey chef, can you pile a huge mound of deli meat on top of a handful of lettuce to give the illusion that I'm eating healthy? Thanks!" Last but not least, we have Nino's Special pizza (pepperoni, sweet sausage, green pepper, mushrooms, onions and bacon). It was perfectly acceptable. The crust was thinner than I expected, but it had a nice crunch. And the mushrooms were canned. I suppose this is the norm? They used fresh mushrooms in the chicken marsala, but canned mushrooms as a pizza topping. Mushrooms don't have a long shelf life, so I can totally understand why they do this. Pasta dishes are a bit on the pricy side ($19 - $22), but they do come with a small salad and bread. So yeah, not gonna be an everyday lunch destination unless you've got Bezos money, but when I want to splurge after a day of hardship (i.e. going outside to get the mail), Nino's will be my reward.
