    Italian Hoagie

I love this place. The best chain sandwich shop. Service was great and the store was clean and inviting. Sandwich was stacked with thinly sliced meat and built to perfection. Bread was perfect. Hard to beat!

Ordered 2 Tuna Diablos Service was fast enough and everything but on the website the tuna is advertised as tuna in olive oil and it's 100 percent not. It's tuna in water which is half the price and twice as dry. Very deceptive, fix it.

Pack date of 8/12. Sold to me on 8/22.

The slaw I ordered on 8/22 was just delivered with a 8/12 pack date. Ten days old. It smells awful. Makes me question the health standards of this location.

This was an emergency lunch. Of course there wasn't any parking as it's center city! There is a passenger loading zone where you can park and run in. I suggest you call ahead. Around lunch time be prepared to be placed on hold a few times. The person who took my order was cordial. I got the crusher; the smallest size and oh boy it was small. For almost $8 I expected more. It was about half of a regular hoagie. Smh my order took about 20 minutes. When I finally got my sandwich, i left, sat in the car and I ripped open the package. To my surprise, nothing I asked for was on the sandwich! The horror!! I asked for extra mayo, no extra mayo, no oil, crushed pepper seeds. I received the end of a tomato. I was hungry so I ate it. Very disappointed. I won't be going back.

Awesome sandwiches! I have only had the Italian and honestly I think it's all I'll over get it's SO GOOD.

Shout out to Primo's for providing a great catering service to Trader Joe's this week. I haven't had a good hoagie in a while and Primo's was the perfect relapse. I had several small portions of their italian and turkey sandwiches and they tasted delicious. The sesame bread may have been the best part, but the entire sub had an extraordinary amount of flavor and seasoning from the meats and veggies. I'll definitely have to consider going to Primo's again in the future to experience the hoagies in their natural state. As it stands now, I am entirely satisfied.

A solid takeaway sandwich or, as they say in Philly, hoagie. Simple and tasty. Friendly, fast, and down to earth.

The first impression was not especially auspicious. The restaurant is tucked away in the basement beneath a building on Walnut Street in Philadelphia, and at first glance the menu prices gave me pause. But from the very first bite, every doubt completely disappeared. The sushi was absolutely extraordinary -- some of the best I have ever had anywhere. I ordered the 9-piece tasting menu with uni for $68, and every single piece of nigiri was exquisite. The fish practically melted in my mouth, with outstanding freshness, texture, and flavor. Each bite felt carefully crafted and perfectly balanced. The service was equally impressive. The staff was warm, cheerful, attentive, and made the entire experience feel welcoming and relaxed. I arrived toward the end of the evening, so the restaurant was pleasantly quiet, which made the meal even more enjoyable. This was truly a memorable dining experience. Every course was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates outstanding sushi. My only regret is that it is so far from where I live, because otherwise I would return again and again.

We ordered salads, steak, pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn, and a bottle of overpriced Caymus wine. Hubby liked his pork chops, my filet was ok. The sides were delish!!! They also were very kind in offering us a comp dessert for our anniversary which we got to pick. Typically restaurants just bring out whatever dessert they want so I appreciated that we got to choose. We chose a vanilla Carmel cake. It was good but we were also so stuffed! Minus 2 stars - as the end of the night, our server disappeared & when he did reappear, I could never get his attention to get the bill. I flagged someone else down but they just shrugged. It took me putting my jacket on (& 20 extra mins) to get Lawrence's attention. Also, it was close to the end of the night as we were wrapping up - maybe 9:30ish. There were still PLENTY of guests eating dinner, and the workers started breaking down tables in our section, moving things around, replacing large tables for smaller ones, etc. We're trying to have a nice (expensive!) dinner & workers are cleaning up around us. What a buzz kill. Remember I was the one trying to GET my servers attention - trust me we didn't overstay. Honestly, eh - I wouldn't recommend.

On a whim, I called Butcher Bar and told them I know it's last minute on a Saturday night, but could they accommodate 9 people. They told me if we were there in 30 minutes they could make it work, so we rushed over. We sat at the bar for drinks as they cleaned up a table. They overheard us talking about how The Trough would be nice (feeds 8 for $300, but was more than enough for us 9), and said if we wanted that they could get it started as the table was prepared. We said yes, and were sat a few minutes later with drinks in hand. Jenna (Gema? She had grape earrings) was a fantastic server and just so kind and attentive. She kept the drinks flowing and The Trough arrived sooner than I expected and was everything I wanted for dinner and more. I can't thank Butcher Bar enough for saving the night for my 40th and just providing a fantastic experience. We'll be back, and we promise to give more notice next time! :)

The space is breathtaking--soaring 38-foot sculpted ceilings and a 34-foot wine tower at the center of the bar create a truly luxurious and unforgettable ambiance. The hospitality is just as impressive as the setting. Every member of the staff was professional and attentive, and the managers checked on us throughout the meal to ensure everything was perfect. Our waitress, Ayoola, was exceptional--warm, personable, and genuinely thoughtful. She made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. We began at the bar with a cocktail called the VIP, which was perfectly balanced--smooth, refreshing, and very easy to enjoy. I didn't even think to take a photo until we were nearly finished--that's always a good sign. The complimentary bread was outstanding--warm, buttery, and perfectly fluffy with a delicate texture. Easily one of the best I've had, and very hard to resist. My husband and I shared three appetizers, two mains, and three sides, and even the sides were generously portioned. It was quite a lot of food, but every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The tuna tartare--with avocado and prawn chips--was incredibly fresh, delicious, and well-seasoned, with a delicate balance that really let the quality of the fish shine. The medium-rare sesame ahi tuna was another standout--perfectly seared, tender, and rich in flavor. It was so good that my husband started digging in before I could even snap a photo. We couldn't even finish all the sides, and by the end, we were completely full and had to skip dessert--but that just gives us a reason to come back. An exceptional dining experience in every way--this is easily a 5-star experience, and one we'll be thinking about long after the meal.

Instead, we were treated in a way that felt humiliating and discriminatory. We were not allowed to sit or even properly discuss seating with the staff. As two Black customers who were simply trying to dine, the entire interaction felt unnecessary and deeply uncomfortable. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or targeted when walking into a restaurant. The way this was handled left us feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Restaurants at this level should prioritize professionalism, respect, and equal treatment for all guests. I hope management seriously reviews how situations like this are handled so other customers don't have to experience the same treatment.
