The thin crispy base had the Tomato Pie influence but the abundance of cheese that would slide off is more traditional for eastern PA. The grandma was a square and was thinner they most I've had, crispy and overall was pretty good. I wouldn't put the Grandma in the upper tier but I wouldn't tell anyone not to try it. My wife and a friend had the eggplant Parm dish and also felt uninspired by their dishes. One was overcooked compared to the other; the two asked for additional sauce to give it some more flavor. Yes, it was a nice evening out, and you get a lot for your money with a multi-course dining experience. One other oddity. During the dessert course, which was a type of bread pudding, we were not offered coffee nor tea. Even it would have been extra, who doesn't offer a hot beverage with dessert, especially in the artic temps we are experiencing this winter. I had nearly an hour drive home, and coffee would have been most appreciated. Oh well. So in summary, I would have expected this to be a five-star review all day long.
