I have been storing items for several years now, and service changed, I believe when the building changed hands. The people they hire are VERY RUDE, and I agree with other reviewers, have TOO MUCH ATTITUDE. The office area was tinted so that you could not see who was inside and what they are doing. On several occasions when I went into the office, it smelled of weed. (Don't be a hater, I don't care if you smoke, but not on work hours). We had taken a second storage unit recently and I was locked out a week after I signed the contract. They stated I did not sign the contract (which I did because I had the email copy)- I was forced to sign a new contract for the same unit. One month later, my unit went from 87 dollars to 137. I witnessed people sleeping in their units, mice droppings in the units, and the "environment control" on the second floor is pretty much non-existent. We are trying to resolve our storage needs and I would run, not walk away if I could. read more

Been on hold for 15 min still no one has picked up the phone. ATTITUDE attitude need I say more. Ample of fees to new and old customers. Come on! They take advantage of people and ghost them too. The people who work here are amazing! They are so helpful and everything runs pretty smoothly here at least from my experience. I wish they had longer hours & a bigger dumpster but other than that Im pretty happy with them. read more

Nothing but problems since new ownership took over. Never had an issue in 3 years with previous owners. I'm on auto billing and it was constantly an issue and getting calls for non-payment ( no my card wasn't declined ). All the calls go to a call center? Really? Impossible to get someone on the line, and when you do it takes them 5 minutes to find you in the "system". Previous owners...it took 10 seconds. Fail all around on customer service. Horrible place to do business with! Save yourself the time and headache and go elsewhere. My sister and I went into Prime Storage in Clifton, NJ to look at the storage units. We wanted something as close to the elevators and entrance as we are paying the movers close to $1K for 3 hours so accessability into the units is very important to us. Matt showed us a unit on the 2nd floor right next to the elevators and promised he would hold it for us until the next day. We went in the next day and rented. As soon as we paid (the $25 processing fee, insurance fee, etc), we were walked to our storage unit which was about 5 or 6 doors past the elevators. We went back downstairs and told Matt that that was not the unit he showed us the previous day and reminded him that the unit he had originally shown us was right next to the elevators. He at first denied it and then later apologized saying he must have gotten confused because the unit he showed us did not have a lock and he thought it was vacant. The dishonesty left us with a horrible taste in our mouths and we decided to look elsewhere to other storages and found another one. We went back in yesterday and told Matt that we no longer want to rent that unit as it's not the one he had shown us and asked him to refund our the $25/ along with insurance fee that we had paid we had paid, he refused. He said when asked by corporate office why we did not want to rent, that the reason we gave was not good enough, etc. We asked for the corporate office's contact information, he refused to give that and said he did not have it. This place has no integrity. Matt blatantly lied to us and showed us a unit (next to the elevators) that was already rented out and after we paid, he took us to a unit 5 or 6 doors down. This is not the way to do business. Do not rent from here as you will regret it!!! We ended up going to Colombia Self Storage (right down the road from this place) and are scheduled to move in there. read more

I had a unit there for 5 years. I had called to update my credit card information because my card was stolen and I shut it down on the 30th of the month. Because the autopay was declined, they left me one voicemail, weeks after the fact, saying the card information was not working and then stopped calling me. When I called back to update the card with them, I mentioned I would be closing it by May 31 of this year. They said they had never heard of me, had no record of me and did not know why I was calling. Then they stopped answering my calls for several days. Despite having an account there for 5 years, and the staff knowing my name and account, they all suddenly pretended to not know me and/or avoid me. They eventually admitted that they auctioned off my personal belongings without sending a certified letter. I'll be filing a small claims suit and complaint with BBB, but do not use this place. read more
