Poke bowl with avocado. Looks like someone shook it up or took a big bite out of it.

Ordered on door dash. It was so unappetizing and unappealing that I couldn't even eat it. The smell alone was bad enough to toss it straight in the garbage. My boba drink was good. 2stars for that.

Fresh fish and plenty of options! Solid poke spot in Pleasanton. The only cons I would say is that the scoops of fish are pretty small compared to most places, and the seaweed salad is an additional cost. The service was decent - nice but not super friendly. Outdoor seating in a shared patio in the front.

Poke is probably one of my favorite dishes and this is definitely one of my top favorite poke spots in California. I think the combination of all the flavors pairs super well together. They also are very gracious with the fish scoops in your bowl. The bowls are also get filled up to the brim with all the different topics. I also appreciate how they're don't over-do the sauces. I think the seating outside the shop is so cute! It's a nice spot to eat outside with friends. There's also an ice cream shop right next store for dessert afterwards. One thing I would ask is for the toppings to be cut a bit better. I noticed that the green onions weren't chopped thinly and the cilantro wasn't cut up either.

Delicious, fresh, and affordable! Love this poke place in downtown Pleasanton. Great for a quick bite.

I've walked by Prime Poke countless of times, I finally gave it a try! I stopped by Thursday night around 6pm for dinner. I came in at about the perfect time because about 4 or 5 people showed up after me. This space is very small, I'd say 5 people in there is tight. There is also no indoor dining, there is a few tables outside though. I was intrigued that they have zucchini noodles as a base, I had to try! I liked the crunch it added but I think it added excessive moisture to my bowl so once I got to the end it was very watery - almost soupy. Not my favorite thing. They had a good amount of options for protein, toppings, and sauces. The unagi sauce was a great touch and I don't always see it. I found this spot to be a tad more expensive than other places. We got 2 bowls, one with 2 proteins and one with 3 proteins. The total was $31 dollars before tip. They offer a free scoop of crab salad or spicy tuna, which is nice but other poke spots offer that as a toppings option with no additional charge and are less expensive for more proteins. Overall, this spot is cute, clean and service was good but if I'm in downtown Pleasanton, I'll probably be going somewhere else. Good option for a quick & fresh lunch in the area.

Located in Downtown Pleasanton. We came here for lunch after a hike. Since I was ravenous at that point, ordered the four-protein poke bowl with the zucchini noodles and their house poke sauce. We also had the kumquat lemonade, which was extra-refreshing! Definitely hit the spot. Just a heads up (especially as the weather gets warmer) that they only had takeout and outdoor seating available when we went back in June. Otherwise, a solid poke place.

Came here to try the zucchini noodles, which had a nice crunch. But as a poke connoisseur (or at least I'd like to think so - haha), I thought this place was just okay. The fish tasted fresh, which is the most important factor, but there weren't as many toppings to choose from compared to other poke establishments, especially if you consider what is included. Many items, such as avocado and seaweed salad, cost extra. The best part -- and this may be enough reason to make Prime Poke your destination poke spot -- was that they also serve boba drinks here. And they are delicious! Fish: 5 stars Toppings/extras: 3 stars Cleanliness: 4 stars Seating: 3 stars Service: 4.5 stars Drinks: 4 stars Tip: If you check Yelp, they often give a free boba drink if you check in.

This is the most delicious food in Hawaii. It is very authentic, tastes fresh and is very healthy. I love it.

First time trying this poke place & I really appreciate the fact they were willing to accommodate my bowl despite me not wanting the crab salad. The customer service is great & they make it very clear they're understaffed & it could take some time if busy, the Poke is good not my favorite but they're so polite I'll continue to come back I've been here twice so far & my first time was bomb but I made it too spicy lol. I usually love spice, second time I didn't add enough flavor. So the 3rd time I come hopefully I'll make my bowl just right. Anyways it's good quality with room for improvement unfortunately poketry has me in a chokehold.

Dismal portion size today. No good.

Finally, my most recent GrubHub order for pick up was a success! After a few disappointing runs in the past with under-filled bowls and also missing crab meat as requested in my GrubHub order, they have finally come through on delivering a fully filled bowl AND with all the requested ingredients. I am a big poke eater, and what keeps me coming back to Prime Poke is their house special sauce that is unique from all other local poke places.

Tonight I ordered two poke bowls and decided to try this new place. I so wanted to give at least 3 stars based on my experience in the business with good customer service but then within 45 mins after eating I became pretty sick which is my reason only giving 1 star. Fish looked fresh, but tasted so fishy we could barley taste any of the sauce while eating. I was concerned but so hungry ate more than half the bo before I finally stopped since something wasn't right. Sure enough it has given be abdominal pain shortly after. Next, the cost of these bowls was pretty high let alone nearly every topping was an additional price. When I mentioned why the high costs compared to other locations that we typically frequent they mentioned because they have some of the most fresh ingredients. Meanwhile I'm staring at canned pineapple as a free option. I truly was so excited to try this option but it just didn't do it for me and now I'm sick. The one thing they have going for themselves is friendly service.

4 protein poke. Half brown rice and zoodles! Delicious!
    Leanna L.

Fresh poke! Loves the Hawaiian ahi and salmon poke. I personally thought the scoops were a bit small but the flavor was there. Delicious and lots of toppings! Also love the zucchini noodle base. I was able to get half brown rice and half zoodles as an option. The 4 protein(~$15) was just enough to share between 2 people. Service was good, although a bit slow since it was dinner time and there was only 1 person working the counter, but the server was very attentive and helpful! If you're in downtown Pleasanton and looking for poke, I recommend giving this place a try!

3.5/5.0 Please turn on the a/c! I came in on a saturday evening to try out some poke from here and immediately i was greeted with a musky atmosphere. Because of covid, they cut off most of the store and you have to order everything in the front. This makes it difficult to create your own bowl so i chose one of their signature bowls. I got myself the signature bowl with squid in it and i was surprised. I thought the sauce was really yummy and the squid a bit chewy, but edible. I would reccommend the staff to prop the front door open so fresh air can enter the store and make it more inviting.

I tend to shop nearby and have seen the restaurant but haven't been in the area during lunchtime until today. I did learn they also have lunch specials on Saturdays too, so I will be back with my husband next time. I walked in and ordered, and the lady was so nice and welcoming. My order was packed and ready to go without much of a wait, which was nice. It didn't take long, so it's very helpful for people on a time crunch. I got the 3 item bento box with katsu chicken, California roll, and sashimi. It also came with miso soup, salad, and rice. I got it to go, so I was happy the soup was included because I notice some restaurants don't always include soup on togo orders. The katsu chicken was light and seasoned nicely, and the katsu sauce tasted a little different than normal, so maybe it's freshly made. I wasn't a fan of the California roll only because I am not a fan of the whole roll chunks of imitation crab meat but it wasn't a full deal breaker. The sashimi tasted fresh with a nice, soft, buttery texture. I still think about their sashimi at times, it's up there with some of the best pieces of fish I've eaten.

My wife liked the flavor of the sukiyaki and the ingredients. My son's wife had a sashimi donburi with fresh fish and my son went with a three item bento beef teriyaki, mixed tempura and three piece nigiri. I came in around 6pm and when I walked in there was 1 other table there and not busy. I would say it's a small spot that seats less than 50 people but it was nice and clean. I decided to get two rolls and a 6 piece nigiri that comes with a hand roll. Gorilla Roll - 9/10. I'm always a sucker for seared rolls. The salmon being seared gives it extra sweetness and the siracha mayo actually had a nice kick it to it and wasn't just sweet. The fried shallots on top added nice texture being crunchy with extra flavor. This was my favorite roll. Rosewood Roll - 8/10. You can taste that the fish is fresh. If you like salmon and tuna I would get this roll. What I liked about it as well was the spicy crab on top which carried a small amount of spice but adds to the flavor. Moriwase - 9/10. It comes with 6 nigiri and a hand roll. Again the fish is fresh and has good flavor. The portion was normal, definitely not small. The nigiri comes with a brush of soy sauce so no need to dip, but feel free to. I just wish it had some more wasabi cause I didn't taste any. It came with a spicy tuna hand roll which I liked a lot because it had a good kick. Service was great even though I was the only one in there after the table before me left but the lady was very nice and attentive. She even offered some home made dessert that was packaged in a cute box after having some small convo. I talked to the sushi chef and he's been making sushi for over 15 years and I could tell that he puts some passion in his craft. He told me everyone says the fish is fresh but he really tries to make the flavor known which I think he executed well. They also get their fish flown/delivered on Tuesdays/Thursday. If you're in the area I would recommend trying this spot. It's definitely a safe option and I'll be coming back to try the other items.

That said, phone sounds blasting from the kitchen does seem a bridge too far for me personally. It's just not professional and totally kills the possibility of an enjoyable meal. Service was friendly, but on the slow side. The atmosphere is super informal, featuring posters of food that is not actually on the menu. Food wise, it was OK. The miso soup was pretty expensive. The best dish by far was the futo-maki roll. Really good flavor for a vegetarian roll. The 'fresh crab' in the other roll we ordered was not good. Rice being IMO the most important element in sushi was executed well, but my chirashi had all the fish served fridge cold and with pretty rough, haphazard cuts. For the overall price of the experience, it just doesn't seem worth it.

The restaurant setting was fairly plain, but I noticed that they offered a good amount of seating inside for dine-in guests. Was quoted 15-30 minutes online, but it was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Then I discovered that the order was wrong. I was given edamame by mistake, instead of egg rolls. No apology given, just confusion (one worker questioning another worker on why she would do that), but they assured me they would make the correct order and it would take 5 more minutes. In reality, I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes, but at least they fixed the issue. Staff was friendly. Btw, the menu states that the egg rolls are made with a mix of veggies and meat. But these were filled with vegetables only, no meat. Taste was okay, and the eggroll wrapper was thicker than I'd prefer. I'm used to the king and queen eggroll spots where the product has more size and better flavor with a light and crispy exterior (I know plenty of these in the south bay). It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't get this again at Fat Fish Sushi. On the other hand, the lion king roll was really good, made with quality ingredients and prepared perfectly. Too bad it got cold since it was ready 15 minutes before the rest of my order.
