For context, they painted the interior or of our entire home - walls, trim, and ceiling. The team knew how to work with high end paint and transformed a set of drab, beige, poorly textured, and banged up walls. They sanded the walls to manage the texture, worked expertly with tricky corners, managed complex work with dry wall to address dings and structural oddities. They are not just incredible painters - they are also amazing project managers and partners. The team managed our paint job while we traveled, but our furniture and floors were kept pristine (despite our 0% prep for them). When they ran out of paint (because I insisted on getting it and didn't get enough!), they reached out. When I didn't get back to them soon enough, they went to the store and perfectly matched the color, no VOC, and other specifications. Wilmer is warm, personable, proactive, and an excellent person to have on your team as a part of the work to transform your space! His team is also wonderful, expert, and easy to be around (I know, because i hired them for a second job and this time didn't leave town). Feel free to reach out to me with questions. Both jobs are stunning and worth every penny! Selvin is straight-forward and honest with his pricing and walks you through the entire job. When I asked if they were able to do something his response was "you're the boss!" Selvin's team is prompt and hard-working, showing up on time every day ready to work. I had to reschedule my flooring job with short notice for a trip out of state and they were able to squeeze me in a week earlier than originally scheduled. It was a tight schedule, only four days for the whole basement, but they were able to get the job done early! I couldn't recommend City Painters more for all of your remodeling needs! The team was equally awesome. They worked so hard to get the project done on schedule, even after adding some additional items. They were very skilled but also very professional. I loved how each day they cleaned up--throwing away the trash, organizing the tools, moving items off to the side. This level of effort showed that they not only respected their work, but they respected our home. It can be hard to find a good contractor. I am so grateful that we found Selvin, Jovani, and the City Painters team. I will take them with me wherever we go and hire them for whatever project we decide to tackle next. Thank you! Thank you! Save your money, your home, and your peace of mind and look elsewhere. Here is exactly what you can expect if you hire them: Incomplete Work: The job was abandoned before it was finished. The walls in my bathroom and laundry room are literally only half-painted. Property Damage & Sloppiness: The crew didn't even bother to use painter's tape. As a result, there is paint splattered all over my baseboards. Outrageous Behavior: I have security cameras inside and outside of my house. The footage clearly shows their crew drinking and smoking inside my home for the entire duration of the job. Zero Accountability: When I reached out to management with the camera footage to get this mess resolved, they refused to take any responsibility.
