DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I hired them to paint the interior of my home, paid in full, and had an absolute nightmare of an experience. Save your money, your home, and your peace of mind and look elsewhere. Here is exactly what you can expect if you hire them: Incomplete Work: The job was abandoned before it was finished. The walls in my bathroom and laundry room are literally only half-painted. Property Damage & Sloppiness: The crew didn't even bother to use painter's tape. As a result, there is paint splattered all over my baseboards. Outrageous Behavior: I have security cameras inside and outside of my house. The footage clearly shows their crew drinking and smoking inside my home for the entire duration of the job. Zero Accountability: When I reached out to management with the camera footage to get this mess resolved, they refused to take any responsibility. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix the damage, they got "smart," dismissive, and incredibly rude. It is completely unacceptable to take someone's money, treat their home like a bar, ruin their baseboards, and then act incredibly unprofessional when confronted with video proof. In preparation for listing our home, we asked for a few estimates for touching up paint and greying out some walls. We received estimates for several days and several thousand dollars. Rent painters came in with two days notice, with a quarter of the price, and estimated eight hours of work. We thought we would come check in after 6 hours, and we found that not only had they already finished, they actually repainted all the walls to make sure the touch ups blended in. Correction # 1: The repairs for the interior touch-ups; the completely botched three-season rear porch (not a screen in sight except in the nearly new and expensive glass windows); and work on the exterior front porch and windows was scheduled for Thursday 8/19. On 8/18 Wednesday morning, CHRIS texted me to cancel the exterior front porch work due to weather. I immediately responded and agreed the forecasted weather was bad. I also canceled that job at that time because I do not have confidence in their work. (I had previously told Chris this to his face. This is why he had agreed to send a completely different paint crew from before.) I also asked him on Wednesday if the painters were still coming to complete the repairs on the interior and three- season porch. Chris did not respond. His only communication since has been to reply to my review. Correction # 2: Before I signed the contract, I texted Chris the brand of paint and asked for the cost so I could factor it in to the labor estimate, and decide whether to sign the contract. CHRIS texted a paint cost estimate of $500-550. He knew the scope of the job and the type of paint desired because I texted it to him. He then purchased SW, Emerald (Designer edition, the most expensive) which was NOT what I requested. Total paint bill came to $1003.38- nearly double the written estimate. I told him it was not preauthorized and not good customer service. I told him he should have called from the store to explain the cost would be significantly higher than quoted. He initially argued that it was my fault, not his, until I showed him his texts to me with the quote. He then admitted it was his error in the miscalculation because "he was texting while driving." It is entirely his fault as he is the owner of this paint company and should be able to accurately estimate the cost of paint. Finally, he is correct that I subtracted the portion of the completely botched three-season porch room until the repairs were completed. So happy I did because they never showed up to repair it. I also didn't pay for the exterior front work because they never even started it. I did pay in full, over $4100 for interior work (several portions of which was sloppy) and the unauthorized paint costs. I will also incur additional costs to have someone fix the botched three-season porch room. read more

I've used Rent Painters for a few things over the years, and they consistently provide quality work at a reasonable price. I've done exterior painting, interior painting, and a decent size carpentry and drywall job (adding a door, removing some ductwork bulkhead and refinishing, and closing up a wall). I've also done a bit of electric, basically adding an outlet and moving another one, and flooring replacement. Finally, they've done some touch-ups as a I prepared my house for sale - they know what's needed and what's not, and how to make the house doing the essential items to make the house look better at a good price. I hired Rent Painters to paint the whole house after a move in. The lines for the ceiling were not done well. There are paint gobs all over the brand new tile work. I canceled the job after the first day and am glad that I did. I brought in a different team and the difference was night and day. I was disappointed after seeing the reviews on here. (see photo) The process to book was relatively straightforward but the reason for the 4 stars is that while Chris was friendly and texting made contact easy, it took a bit of prodding to get a booking date/time and the details of the job. Chris the owner didn't show twice when scheduled with him. His painters were sexiest I a woman alone and I never felt more disrespected. They first said one man will be enough tmr than two then changed it to four - Jeep squeezing me more. I agreed to four but when they showed up they didn't do a thing for more than two hours when I asked them why they just said they need to talk to their boss and left with the door wide opened and unlocked. Worst service ever! Please be aware that these guys are extremely unreliable, rude and scary. Response to the reply - the reply includes so many blunt lies (for instance we schedule home to come at noon he arrived at 11 so I was in a meeting, I called him back at 11:50 but he said he left, I mentioned we scheduled at noon he said that he had to go pick up his daughter - which I get that stuff happens but no need to lie about it! He also liesabput the estimate etc...). Honestly you can make what you want with my review it is the truth though. I've used Christian's crew twice now - 2 years ago to paint my (outside) porch, and inside hallway and stairwell; this year to paint 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. both times they were great. The quote for the first one was the cheapest by a fair amount, and the second time I went straight to them and the quote was very reasonable so didn't check elsewhere. They came exactly when I wanted them and arrived on time. There were a lot of cracks that needed to be patched but they did a great job with that, and the rooms look great. Also flexible in coming back an extra day, when I added to the job (getting the trim painted as well). Awesome company. I got 4 different quotes for painting three rooms and Rent Painters was the most competitive by at least $300. Knowing we have a lot of work to do on the house, we went with them and hoped for the best. These guys are great!!! They are SO polite, courteous and very professional (heads up to all the women getting work done in their home, felt very safe having them in the house). I gave the guys some coffee and when they were done they even washed the cups and put them in my sink!! And I haven't even talked about the painting! We had a huge job and the guys spent the first day and a half just going through meticulous prep. I wish I had a taken a before picture because our walls were bad. They did a ton of patching jobs, drywall replacement, and sanding. Their work is really excellent. We added on some extra work as we went through and they were very responsive. Cristian came by the house twice during the job just to check in and was super helpful. All in all, totally satisfied. Cheaper doesn't mean worse!
