I am a business owner in west LA. This week I was locked out of my store and called the locksmith. The technician who came, Leo, was very rude to me. He first told me $250, but once the lock was fixed, he demanded $360 and refused to give me the key until I paid. My keys, phone, and wallet were inside so I couldn't call anyone for help. Then, after he lets me back in, he refused to take my credit card and insisted on cash. Finally after he calls his boss he accepts my card, but then says both cards were declined. He tries to take a picture of my license and credit cards. He took advantage of me because my English is not good. He even called me insults and has ruined my week. I had a horrible experience and was disrespected and taken advantage of and do not recommend anyone to use this company read more

Called around and this place had middle of the road prices, but the person on the phone was clear and friendly and they could get my duplicate Prius fob done same-day. Several other places I called seemed a bit shady and couldn't get to me until later, but these guys took care of me quickly and not at the crazy rates my dealership wanted. This store has a lot of cute designs which i think is super fun! I've been to one of the key machines and have gotten inaccurate cuts, so I much prefer to have the in-person service! I needed a new ignition lock cylinder and the old one drilled out. I'm trying to get to work as soon as I can, so when these guys tell me on the phone they can be here at 9am, I cancel the other guys who were on the way for a 10am ETA. As soon as I cancel them, Prime calls back to tell me it'll be more like 11am. That's no small error, that's TWO HOURS DIFFERENCE. Guy checks again and says 10:30. I won't get anywhere by switching locksmiths all morning, so I say fine. Well, guess when someone makes it to my car - 11am, the worst of the presented scenarios. Off to a bad start and I'm definitely going to be late for work now. Diagnosis confirms that the cylinder needs to be drilled out and I'm quoted $700 for a job some research tells me should be closer to $300. Again, I can't be chasing better locksmiths all morning, so I reluctantly give the OK to proceed. The work will now take several more hours because the guy doesn't have parts even though I told someone on the phone exactly what the problem was and what kind of car I have, so now I'm hoping I'm not fired for being so late. I have to Lyft to work (and back, so let's add that $40 to the cost of all this). On top of that, I don't even get to open and turn on my car with the same key. Gotta have two keys in my pocket now, which is twice as many as I ever wanted, and that's just an inconvenience that will remind me of this bad experience every time I use them. When I expressed some frustration at this two key business, the guy doing the drilling just shrugged it off as though he didn't want to be bothered with that much work. That's when I should have told him to drill the cylinder out and stop there. I got home from work, found my keys where I asked the guy to stash them, tested them... and found a big pile of steel shavings all over the floor of my car. That's insult to injury. Couldn't even clean up the mess... I would not recommend this locksmith. Almost everything that could go wrong for me in this situation did go wrong. I didn't see the side of this company that's behind all these 5-star ratings. I thought this would be easier than doing it all myself with instructions from the internet, but I think I was wrong about that. The one star added onto the lowest available rating here is simply because the ignition turns now and it didn't before. Mission accomplished. Eventually. Now I know better and I hope you do too. read more
