I've been going to Prima Nails from the time they opened on July 2007. I absolutely LOVE it there! This place is clean, relaxing, and most importantly, their manicures and pedicures last a long time. I have been to many nail salons over the years and I have never seen the level service they provide. I remember one winter when it was snowing, not only did they start the car for me and put my seat belt on, they cleared the snow from my car so I wouldn't ruin my nails. Wow, that is what I call service! From the time you walk in they greet you by name (even after being there once). They give you free coffee, tea and water while having my pedicure and manicure done. I have also used their waxing service and they do a great job. The best part is the complimentary message while waiting for your nails to dry. They have a great polish selection and I know they are fresh because I have seen Annie (the owner) thrown away polish that are even in question. As to their cleanliness, they disinfect all their equipment and especially their pedicure tubs. The staff is friendly and does a fantastic job. I would hightly recommend this place . . . if you try it once, you will never want to go to another nail salon again. The only regret is that I have moved and it's far from where I live. I have been going to Prima Nails since we moved to the area 8 years ago and have never been disappointed. From the very beginning, Annie, made an effort to get to know me and remembers her client's names. She and her staff make you feel like family. In fact, she and her staff remember my mother and mother-in-law when they come in for their own mani/pedi and/or to pick up a gift certificate, and they both live out of state. The salon is extremely clean and they do a wonderful job on your nails. In August, I got a no-chip mani and it has lasted 3.5 weeks! Every time I go to Prima Nails I feel refreshed and relaxed. Annie and her staff take the time to do a great job and you don't feel rushed. Additionally, in January of this year, I talked to Annie about having a small nail party for my daughter who turned 5. Annie suggested a time that worked best for the salon and my daughter and three of her closest friends came, along with her 2.5 year old sister. Annie and her staff did an excellent job with the girls and they had such a fun time being pampered. I will continue to go to Prima Nails and they will continue to be my recommendation to friends/family for manis/pedis. read more

What can I say...a nail salon that is spotless, simple and quiet. I found out about Prima Nails through a friend, and have enjoyed my visits thanks to Annie and Ashley (and Coco)! Annie is so sweet to everyone that comes in and remembers everyone by name. I love that she is always smiling and having conversations- this tells me she is really eager to meet everyone and listens to what you have to say. I have not had the honor to have my nails done by Annie, but I look forward to the day when I do. Ashley has been my technician both times I have been their. I am very detail oriented and I know Ashley is too because her technique is precise and she takes her time with every one of my nails. I enjoy our conversations and I love her relationship with Annie-very endearing! One last thing, the layout of the salon is chic and simple (and clean). I think it stands out so much because of the curvy design which during the holiday season was beautifully decorated. The last thing I enjoy very much is that the salon is quiet and serene. I love this place so much that I decided to change my own routine - from having a manicure maybe once a year to coming in every 2 or 3 weeks. Annie is SO sweet and friendly (all of the girls are) and she will always be thrilled to see you. I love that they're open at 9 on a Saturday and will have you set up right away or within minutes of walking in. The environment is warm, quiet and clean. Relaxing music in the background and the complimentary shoulder rub while your nails are drying are a treat but more importantly the technicians here are VERY skilled at what they do. My nails are naturally brittle, peel easily and won't grow in at all. My first time in was like a total rehab and I went home with perfectly polished/shaped nails that didn't chip for almost 2 weeks despite how much of a beating they take at work, and now they are finally growing in stronger without breakage. Today was my first ever manicure and it was truly a great, lovely experience. Prima Nails treated me with the utmost respect and gave me the warmest of welcomes. Annie, the owner, quickly realized it was my first time being there and took my hand and walked me down to the polish station, allowing me to choose among the many of beautiful colors they had. She's such a perfectionist and you can really tell by how much thought she puts into her manicures and how carefully she works. She was so warm and friendly and even gave me a free accent nail design! The salon itself was very clean and well put together. Not to forget to mention their playlist of classical and classy tunes was very calming and put me in the most relaxing mood. I'll most definitely be going back every couple of weeks! read more

Annie runs such a nice shop! The guy I'm seeing wanted to get pedicures together so I scoped out reviews for places in Carol Stream and landed on Prima. I made an appointment in advance and they were ready for us as soon as we arrived, with chairs next to one another, perfect temperature foot bath water, and bottled water waiting for us too. So many nice touches...I usually don't like the massage chairs but these were really nice and super relaxing. We both received very thorough and relaxing pedis and will definitely be back. I love that Annie referred to me by my name and was so welcoming and dedicated to us having a great experience. First impressions are important, and Annie and her girls rocked it. What a great place! Annie made me feel like I had been her best and oldest customer my very first time. I called last minute and asked to get in right away and she said no problem. She had ended up staying late just for me! I got the no chip and it lasted three weeks! I have been back several times, for both no chip and pedicures and each time I was treated like royalty. Her place is immaculate, and you get a little massage during the process and bottled water while you are there. All her customers give her a hug as they leave, that's how much they love this woman. Prima Nails is the absolute best! I've been coming here for the past four years or so, and I truly refuse to go anywhere else - all the ladies do a fantastic job. Even though I only come by once every few months or before special events, Annie is always so welcoming. My mom often goes with me just to get her nails cut but with her arthritis, she tends to have some mild pain - everyone who works here is always so gentle with her. I appreciate how they take their time with her, making sure she's comfortable and not in any pain while they're cutting her nails. Any time I have come here, I have left feeling so relaxed! I just recently moved to Carol Stream and decided to try this salon for a mani/pedi. First off, the atmosphere is very calming and clean, modern looking. The music is very relaxing as well. To top it off, this was the best mani/pedi I have ever received. The attention to detail, without painful scraping, etc...plus the extra massages! Two while you are waiting for your nails to dry, which is always the hardest and longest part for me, but this makes actually enjoyable. Not to mention that they will walk you out to your car, start it and put your seatbelt on for you!! My wife and her coworkers came to Prima Nails after work. They got a no-chip and pedi by Annie the manager and Jessi. Annie did a fantastic job on both their nails!! My wife and her coworker was telling me how great the massage felt after the pedicure from Jessi. (Ask for Jessi if you want a relaxing message after a colorful pedicure). Prima Nails also has a self serve Keurig machine with variety of coffees and teas for those of us that have to wait. ;) The price seems very reasonable from the service and attention they got from the nail tech's. PRIMA ALWAYS!! I pass 10 salons on my way to Prima but ONLY go here! The place is clean, the service is impeccable, Annie (owner) makes you feel like you are part of her family! Her No-Chip is awesome! (It's not impossible to take off, doesn't ruin your nails, but lasts for weeks!) Pedicures come with a little neck massage, bottles of water, etc, etc. They really take care of their customers. I absolutely LOVE this Salon. Annie is a doll. I work near Prima Nails so I go here over my lunch break sometimes to get a mani. They always do a great job, but most of all I like the atmosphere. It's relaxing with the music and comfy chairs. Every time I come in the owner (Annie) knows my name and even asks about my friends! Like the other reviews the thing that really tops their service is they always start my car and buckle me up! I have had a pedicure there as well and am never disappointed. The only negative comment I would say is that sometimes you do feel rushed. I think they need to hire 1 more person to keep up. Prima Nails is the best nail place in Carol Stream/Bloomingdale area. I have worked in a salon/spa for seven years and I know good service when I get it. You will not be disappointed. They play relaxing music while you get your services, offer chilled bottled water, give complimentary shoulder massages while your nails are drying and even walk you out to your car and help you put your seat belt on so your nails don't get ruined. Best no chip in town!! (Prima nails, near Bulldogs on Lies) Annie, the owner, is always there working hard. She is so nice, personable and does a great job! The no chip does exactly that, it grows out and doesn't peel up or chip. (Just fyi, they don't do acrylics) great pedicures too! Also, they offer a card where you get "stamps" 1 for each service. After 10 services you get a free reg manicure or $10 off a no chip mani. Very calming and quiet nail salon with peaceful music. Never overly crowded. Second pedi with Ashley and she is fantastic...so friendly and professional and did an excellent job!! 5 stars for Ashley!! On the other hand brought my daughter for pedi also and had Suzanne who seemed put out that she had to work. Never introduced herself, did NOT use a towel on the foot rest, dug into the toe nail so hard it was painful, slammed her foot down on the foot rest and nails chipped after 2 days! What should have been a relaxing enjoyable experience turned out to be painful and very disappointing. Avoid Suzanne but definitely go to Ashley!!!! read more

Hands down the best nail salon I have ever been to! I have been going to Annie every 2-3 weeks for the past 3 years. I am always welcomed with a warm hello, and they always remember my name. I love the quality of polish for both the no-chip manicures and pedicures (CND and OPI). The environment is quiet and friendly and a great place to get an hour of pampered peace. I have been getting Mani's, Pedi's, & Eyebrow waxings here for about 8 years now & could honestly say I've only cheated twice (not worth it) Everyone is so friendly and knows your name. The place is very clean and sanitary. The customer service is exceptional, they give you a small bottled water before your service, lavender in the water while your feet are soaking, and a extra shoulder massage while letting your nails dry. They have even walked, started, and buckled me in my car so I don't damage my nails. I refer everyone I know here. read more

I've visited this salon several times over the past few months. I must admit, while being in the area for a few years and trying a handful of different salons, this one is my favorite. I've had a no chip manicure each time I've visited and each time, I've walked out a happy client. Everyone is super friendly and wonderful to chat with, or be quiet with!
