My experience with Ascot Staffing was an extreme disappointment. After being contacted by an Ascot…read moreemployee, we planned for me to take some assessment tests and fill out some paperwork. I told this person I could have all completed and ready the next day. However, it took longer than I had anticipated, but once complete, I sent all required information and documents, and completed assessments. In the interim, we were speaking on the phone, and they were describing a position they were offering me. I told them yes, this sounds like a great job and said I would like it, and they asked if I were available to start the next day. I said absolutely. I was excited, and looked forward to it, but I needed to end the call and asked if I could call back in 30 minutes because I was in a vehicle at the time and couldn't hear well and I wanted to to be able to focus on our conversation. I wasn't able to call until 45 minutes later. When I called back they expressed they were not pleased with me calling 15 minutes later than I said I would, and I was then told to forget it, that they didn't want to work with me after all because I was late in getting the tests and paperwork to them, and late calling back. I did apologize, and assured them that I would do the job well and that they wouldn't be disappointed that they sent me, but they wouldn't give it a chance. To just dismiss me and rescind the opportunity for the position they offered, and after taking all the assessments was such a disappointment and I felt they didn't even give it a chance. It was very cold, and premature. I can understand the importance of timing, but this didn't warrant such an action as to rescind the job offer. I am sure this is not a common issue, and that Ascot Staffing is a good company with pleasant, experienced personnel, but I do wish they would have at least given me the opportunity to do a great job as I am confident I would have.

I scheduled an interview which also consisted of an assessment of my skills, I did plenty of these, but Ascot was the best agency by far with follow up! I was so impressed with how thorough Penny was. I felt very comfortable and at ease during the interview. Within a week of meeting Penny she had found me an administrative job with Kaiser.
