The presentation of the dish was amazing, very eye catching although the meal is a different story. The rice was dry, roll fell apart and fish was not fresh. Service was alright, lady was very accommodating. Restaurant ambiance was casual and friendly. I would not recommend this place to anyone trying sushi for the first time.

We've ordered takeout before. It's close to where we live but the food is average. I've had better pad Thai and pad see eiw. The Tom kha is decent. My bf claims he ordered the noodle version but we were charged for the one without. We added homecooked some noodles. We also go sesame chicken and the Alaskan roll.

Ive been here a few times and they have never disappointed. That is why it's worth returning to an establishment. The service is friendly and quick. The food has been fresh and satisfying. I went with the 2 Maki Special lunch: Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon. Good and filling. My friend ordered the Spicy Salmon Salad which is her go to Fav and by the look of it I may need to try next time!

Really good service and the food is on point! It is a casual little spot in West Rogers Park area. We ordered tom yum, sushi and a thai curry it was very filling!

    Looks right, tastes very wrong.

The five star reviews cannot be real. I cook Thai at home. I've eaten Thai for 25 years. This is the worst Thai food, by far, here in Chicago. The flavors are often either absent or oddly off, nothing tastes "right", and sometimes what you order just isn't what you get. It's near my work so I have kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But it just isn't Thai food. Don't waste your money.

I have been going to Pride for as long as I can remember. This place never disappoints my group. If you are looking for affordable Thai and Sushi place in west Rogers Park, go to Pride.

Small but nice place. Went there for a mid-week dinner, and it was very quiet. The chicken in the pad see ew wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible, either. (The noodles and sauce were equally unobjectionable.) Chive dumplings were really good. Spicy edamame was also good. Some cute gimmicky sushi on the menu. Free parking on the far side of the street, but paid parking on the side closest to the restaurant. Why? I have no idea. That's the nature of street parking. It doesn't have to make sense. 10% off your bill if you pay in cash, as opposed to credit or debit cards. ETA: I can now also vouch for the dragon sushi and the crab rangoons.

Experience: Restaurant is located within the Rogers Park Neighborhood on a busy street. There are many businesses surrounding Pride and is by a High School and Park. This is my second visit to Pride Sushi and Thai and surely not the last. Staff was super friendly and was served fairly quickly. Price tends to be more towards the expensive, bite definitely worth it depending what you get. Parking: Free street parking is located within the business. Fairly easy to find depending the time you go. Worth: Definitely worth visiting once. I would order the noodle dishes (As pictured below), rather than the sushi. Thai ice tea was good too, just ensure that you ask for little ice. Overall, our waiter was made the visit awesome!

I have been coming here for years or ordering delivery and I haven't been disappointed yet! I love there veggie spring rolls, fried shrimp shumai, panang curry, and Thai fried rice. The service is good to. The Food is delicious and leaves me always feeling happy. Plus this place is walking distance from where I live so that's a plus!

Godzilla maki...it was fine, nothing special...

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Miru…read more We were visiting Chicago for a short trip, and with so many excellent dining options, choosing where to eat wasn't easy. I almost decided to save Miru for our next visit, but I'm glad I made time for breakfast here on our departure day. Located inside the St. Regis Chicago, the restaurant offers beautiful views. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. I ordered the Tokyo Breakfast. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with rice, a soft-poached egg, and salmon roe. The miso soup was slightly salty on its own, but it worked surprisingly well when enjoyed with the rice toward the end of the meal. Overall, a memorable breakfast experience. I'd love to return and try the lunch or dinner menu on my next trip to Chicago.

It's all about the views!…read more Miru is one of the newer sushi restaurants relatively uncompetitive sushi scene in Chicago, and it hits the spots for those interested in classy ambience and jaw dropping views. The sushi is phenomenal, as were our drinks... but the other entrees are disappointing. The karaage and duck yakisoba in particular in quality could be from any corner restaurant in Chicago. The service lends itself more casual, and I noticed they were consistently quite slow to clear our table. I don't think people come here for the food as much as the views. Overlooking Streeterville from this angle and vantage was truly jaw dropping and for this reason I still strongly recommend Miru.

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. It felt a bit slow, especially for a lunch service. That said, if you're looking for a reasonably priced omakase with quality fish, this is a solid choice.

Both were great. Our bartenders were lovely and very friendly. Found out this is a Malort tasting room and we were able to sample some different Malorts (the cocoa one was good!). Then we were taken back to our table for dinner. Our server was super friendly as well. Started with the miso soup and crispy tuna bites which were probably my favorite dishes. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.

The restaurant houses both an omakase counter and an izakaya, but in completely separate spaces. The omakase side is an intimate, beautifully designed counter with around 10 seats. We were the only guests that evening, so the whole experience felt wonderfully private -- just us, Chef Shoji, and the fish. Chef Shoji opens the meal by presenting the actual fish you'll be eating, all flown in twice a week from Japan or Spain. It immediately signals what kind of meal you're in for. The 20 courses were well-paced and the quality was consistent throughout. Nigiri and sashimi were pristine, but the hot dishes were equally impressive, which surprised me. Both sides of the menu showed real craft and attention to detail. Service was fantastic -- warm, attentive, and never stuffy. At $210 per person, it's a special occasion meal, but one that genuinely delivers on the price. As someone who eats a lot of omakase back home in LA, I wasn't sure what to expect. I left genuinely impressed. Highly recommend if you're looking for a serious sushi experience in Chicago!!!
