She promptly arranged a service appointment for the following day and even graciously waived the dispatch fee in appreciation of our longstanding relationship. I checked the normal fixers like GFI's and circuit breakers. I had a hard time finding the main breaker as it was replaced when my dad added solar with the help of a flashlight and the power company I located and reset the main breaker when I turned it back on there was a loud sizzling noise. It didn't sound safe. Based on reviews. I called Eco Electric after hours to evaluate the problem they sent Craig. I didn't know what to expect. I'm always on guard because my mom can't afford to be taken in this bad situation. I was impressed with Craig. He was knowledgeable and professional. He quickly identified the problem he showed and explained that the breaker was moving around. He tried to tighten, but the screws were burnt and stripped he explained they were not tightened properly, which made the electricity arc. He called his office and tried to locate the assembly to secure the breaker due to the age. Parts were not available. We needed a new panel as it was the original over 30 years old. The parts were no longer available and even if they were, we would only be prolonging the inevitable he wrote up an estimate we thought to be fair. He called for an emergency install to the power company and handled all permits and inspections. He then secured the breaker as much as possible, so we had essential power that night and the following day then he came the next morning and he install was complete by 3 PM. The only thing we're waiting on is for the stucco to be replaced which I'm hoping will be soon as some of it is exposed to the elements thank you Craig. I was set up by the support team and they sent out Andrew who I dealt with before. He was great, isolated the issue and gave me my options. The next day I have a complete electrical box upgrade. Austin who was obviously in charge was mentoring Gabriel. They worked with the inspectors for NV energy, kept me informed and did a really good job. The job was to take 5 to 8 hours but because of NV energy inspectors had other commitments the job took 12 hours. You will pay competitive prices but you will review a solid product in the end. They do not take shortcuts and they are always available if needed.

Understandable, but still incredibly stressful when you're suddenly without power. Ampere Electric was the exception. Not only did they answer the phone, they had someone at my house within an hour. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived it was late in the evening and there wasn't much that could safely be done until NV Energy could disconnect service the next morning. What impressed me was that they didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Instead, they told me exactly what would happen: they would coordinate with NV Energy first thing in the morning, get the power disconnected, and begin work immediately. That's exactly what happened. Patricio and Carlos arrived early and worked hard all day. They replaced the equipment, completed the installation, and had everything finished by around 3 PM. At that point, the only thing left was waiting for NV Energy to return so final restoration could take place. Unfortunately, NV Energy was completely inundated and running far behind schedule. This is where Ampere really separated themselves from every other contractor I've worked with. Patricio and Carlos could have easily packed up, told us we'd have to wait until the next day, and moved on to their next job. Instead, they stayed. They waited outside my house for hours. They repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience even though the delay wasn't their fault in any way. They had done their job and done it well, yet they refused to leave until the entire situation was resolved. NV Energy didn't arrive until nearly 8 PM. Patricio and Carlos were still there. The moment NV Energy completed their portion, they immediately restored everything, verified that power was working properly, and stayed until we were fully situated and every aspect of the job was complete. That level of customer service is rare. They didn't leave us stranded. They didn't pass the problem to someone else. They didn't do the minimum. They saw the job all the way through from start to finish, even when it meant spending their entire day and evening making sure their customers were taken care of. I am incredibly impressed with Ampere Electric, and especially with Patricio and Carlos. If you want a company that does what they say they're going to do, communicates honestly, and treats your problem like it's their problem, this is the team to call. Five stars, without hesitation. They did an excellent job, and I thought nothing of the outlet until summer rolled around, and my EV charger began throttling charging speed due to thermal issues. Replaced the EV charger block last summer, but this summer (2026) the throttling occurred again. Looked into why, discovered lower level outlet receptacles can overheat and cause this issue, and put out a request for help installing a newer EV-rated receptacle. Friends saw my second job request, and after I explained the situation they offered to send someone to do the job at no cost to make things right. Brandon took care of the work in less than an hour (including a trip to the hardware store to get a better fitting outlet plate) and I'm able to charge care free now.
