Locally owned dry cleaning with the best prices in town however not opened on the weekends. Can be annoying for people doing errands on Saturday but this place is closed. I took my clothes there for well over a decade. I took (another) pair of trousers back as they were pressed along the seam. The counter assistant acknowledged the error, but said there was a charge because of how long I waited (corduroys that I put away after cleaning last spring). I declined, and asked if he would explain to the owner I was dissatisfied. He replied that it was the owner's policy. I indicated I understood. but asked if he would do so. he repeated himself twice more. I expressed he had told me three times. I was just asking he tell the owner. His response? "Then I'm going to tell you four times.". And he did. And a fifth time with no input from me. Red Hanger Cleaners are closer. read more

I have been going to this place since I moved here 10 years ago. They used to have a great staff, including a gentleman named Richard who was pleasant and knew the regular customers and who we loved to see there. Over the past couple of years things have changed here and the new staff is rude and unhelpful. The racks that used to be packed with clothing are now only about a quarter full. I've been going there for nearly 10 years; it's generally been a fine place if your clothes aren't too dirty or wrinkled, just to freshen up. Before the pandemic, they had wonderful and attentive staff that knew you and took care of your dry cleaning needs; going above and beyond to help. Unfortunately, their new staff seems to be changing every other day; haven't seen the same face there twice over the past year. We had a shirt dry cleaned that was torn by their equipment and they acknowledged it was their fault and decided to give me a credit of a WHOPPING $10, not taking into consideration the $5 or so to clean and tear it, and this was supposed to make me whole for a designer garment that cost far more than $10. It was rude, disingenuine and patently offensive and their response, even though they knew they caused the damage was indifference. I could follow up and raise a stink or take them to small claims court but I think better than that is providing honest, candid feedback to other prospective patrons. When they were a discount cleaners, I can understand expectations being lower however now, they are charging just as much as Henri's or Red Hanger and the service in comparison is atrocious. I was pleasantly surprised by their friendliness, timely turnaround, and quality of service. I have been going to Pride Cleaners for years and have been very satisfied. But I just picked up some dry cleaned clothes on 7/28/23 at 5:25pm. The employee there said I just made it on time because he was closing an hour and a half early. He was very angry and talking to me in a hostile manner. I wasn't sure what I had done to deserve his wrath. I asked if he could connect me with the owner. He angrily said no and "If you were smart, you would just look up the owner on the Internet." As I was experiencing what felt like a verbal assault, he began video taping me with his phone and saying this is going to go viral. I was very calm and said ok. I asked if I had offended him. He said yes. He said I was acting entitled by asking for the contact info of the owner. He said, "Why do you think you are entitled to his contact information?" I hadn't demanded the info. I just asked. So I apologized and said I didn't mean to offend him. He continued yelling at me and video taping me, putting the phone up close to my face. He said this is just the way he is because he is a Leo. He then showed me the Leo tattoo on his arm. I have never in my life been verbally assaulted in such a manner, particularly at a business that I have given my business to for years. There is no way for me to contact the owner as it appears Pride Cleaners does not have an active business license. I would steer clear of this business with such an unpredictable employee and no way to contact the owner if something were to go wrong with your clothes. read more

My boyfriend took three of my sweaters to Red Hanger and I paid close to 30$. Apparently I forgot to tell him to go to this dry cleaner. Literally around 3$ for item and their fast and friendly. I have been coming here for years and highly recommend this cleaner. read more

I have been taking my dry-cleaning here for years. Results are hit or miss. There have been several times I have planned to stop using them, but it is so convenient for me I keep going cautiously back. One of the biggest issues I have had is with shrinking sweaters, several of them. I thought maybe I imagined it but I had one of the same size/brand of cashmere sweater and the one Pride dry cleaned went from a large to a large child sized sweater. I am not making this up- others have shrunk a full size at least. Some of my laundered shirts don't look even pressed- they are fine cotton and look terrible, others come out fine. They also used to have the odd habit of pressing my side zip pants sideways so the crease was on the outside seam. Even when I complained they still continued to do it for a while. They have been better about this very annoying tendency lately, but I still keep a close eye on it. My recommendation is to check your clothes before you take them home so you can have them redo any items that are not done correctly and discuss any shrunken clothes. I have stopped taking any sweaters to them as they are costing me a ton by ruining my clothes. read more

After using Pride Cleaners weekly for many years we have moved out of the area. I should have left a review years ago, but after having to research to find a cleaner in my new neighborhood I felt inclined to go back and do it. I wish that I could pick this place up and move it to West Jordan! It is the best priced cleaning with the best quality that you will find in the entire Salt Lake Valley and I am now convinced of that! The customer service has always been great! It is a no frills kind of place that still uses hand written tickets and until recently a credit card terminal that dials in (recently updated to a high speed version so that phone calls can be answered and cards run at the same time). The savings of not having all of the bells and whistles is passed on to the customer without sacrificing any of the quality of dry cleaning or shirt laundry. After trying three cleaners on the west side of the valley over the past month I am strongly considering driving the 35 minutes each way to come home to Pride Cleaners! read more

I was a new customer after driving by it and seeing the low priced dry cleaning price ($3.50 per item). I dropped off 8 shirts and 7 pieces of dry cleaning. The results were hit and miss with pant creases with a weird pattern along it to a firm crease in my sport coat lapel. I took some non-iron shirts that I thought should get a professional press and I swear two of them we not even washed. One had a crease down the middle of the yoke. At least half of the items will need me to re-press them myself. read more

This place is no-frills, but, cannot be beat in terms of price and quality. Two dollars per shirt and just shy of three dollars for pants jackets or any other clothing (although they don't do bedding or other large bulky items). I noticed a few other reviews that said that they got charged more for jackets, however, this has never happened to me (and if it did, I would have no problem raising it to the management and have confidence they would address it). My shirts always look great and if you drop them off before seven or eight, you can pick them up same day after five. Great quality, great price, great turnaround/service. read more

I brought a dress in and when I picked it up it was about 4 inches shorter it had shrunk substantially. I won't be bringing any dry cleaning back to this place. read more

New to the area and put off by the prices of other dry cleaners so I tried Pride. The wool slacks I used as a test case looked better when I took them in to be cleaned. Wrinkles along stitching (pockets, front placket, waistband) and shining of the fabric (press too hot or overdone). A bad experience and I won't go back. read more

If I could give this place a no star rating, that's what I would give them. The manager/owner basically told me to leave when I came in to complain about two pairs of pants that they shrank. I tried explaining that the pants did not fit me after they had been dry cleaned at their store and I even brought in another pair of pants they had cleaned for me (same brand, same length, same material as others) to show the difference. He looked at the tags and said "these aren't the same pants" so how do you know they shrank?" I tried explaining that the pants don't fit because they shrank and that Their store was the only place where I had my pants dry cleaned. He said "that did not happen here." So, he kind of admitted the pants shrank but said it didn't happen there. (Implying either I did it or another cleaner did??) I asked if it was possible that the pants were accidentally washed instead of dry cleaned and he's said that was impossible, they have not shrunk any other customers' pants and that he thought "your pants just don't fit you any more, and you want me to buy you new pants". We argued for a while but needless to say he was a jerk (and I told him so in not such nice language). So, I left feeling completely insulted and offended by his implications that I was lying and trying to squeeze money out of him. Oh, and not to mention the accusation that I gained weight and I was trying to get him to pay for new pants. What a jerk. read more

Took in two brand new sweaters and they came back covered in holes. The owner said it was moth damage and refused to do anything about it. As I left he took the sweaters at threw them at me. Looks like a need a dry cleaner who actually knows how to clean clothes without ruining them, and doesn't behave like a child. read more

Great price for dry cleaning. However when I picked up a suit jacket the back hemming was completely out at the bottom. I knew without a doubt that the suit was just fine before dropping it off. The owner called me back promptly, but stated he can't afford to pay for the fix when they only charge $3 per item. Also said if every other suit had the same problem he would think it was their process that caused the issue. Basically didn't believe me about the hem loosening in their possession and said I could pick up the unhemmed suit. Whether or not it was an issue he believed came from his business, it was a disappointing explanation and result. I will not return and pay more for cleaning services if needed. read more

I had a horrible experience last week with the owner/manager of Pride. When I looked at the reviews, I was not surprised that others had the almost identical experience with this man. I have taken clothes there for about five years and then in the last six months they have shrunk two wool skirts and a long wool jacket. The first two I took back and they re-did them, which helped a little. Last week I took back the jacket and showed them a photo of what it looked like before and now it is not even wearable. It looked like it had been washed in hot water and put in a dryer. They had the owner come and look at it and he went ballistic, accusing me of wanting a blank check and waving his arms around to say look at all these clothes! Why is it just yours? I told him I wanted no money, only wanted them to try to fix it, stretch, or press it. He told me to get out of his store. I have never, I repeat, never, been treated so rudely by a business owner in my life. I think the guy is unhinged. I felt bad for his two employees who know me well from coming in for years. They kind of cowered in the background while he yelled at me. There is a "help wanted" sign in the window. I pity any person who has to work for him. read more

Beware!! Check your suits. I have been using pride dry cleaners for about 5 yrs and they have been pretty good until recently. I had a suit dry cleaned there and they shrunk my nice Banana Republic suit. I took the suit back to them to show how much it shrunk and requested to speak to the manager. The people working there said he wasn't in and they would inform their manager of the problem and have him call me back. I gave them my name and contact info. I gave the manager the benefit of the doubt, wrong thing to do. A month went by and I never heard from the manager. I went back to see what was going on with my suit, some kid went and retrieved my suit hanging on the rack pressed and covered with plastic and told me that they had fixed my suit. I asked the kid how do you fix a shrunk suit? He proceeded to tell me that I think they stretched it or something. That did it for me. I asked again for their manager and once again they said he wasn't there. I asked for his name and when he would be in. Aaron is the name of the manager and he is in from 7-9 am. I told them to keep the suit until I came back. Two days later I met with manager and guess what happened. I calmly informed him about my problem and he instantly became extremely hostile and refused to do anything about my suit. He told me that I would have to take him to small claims court to replace my suit. Absolutely poor customer service. I recommend going else where for your dry cleaning services. I would be more forgiving if it was a shirt that got shrunk but not an expensive suit. I just wanted the company to be honest and do what was right.
