Then she said "it's not even 3pm". I was not upset until she said so. I understand locking the door is for kids safety, and I like it too, but at least when they see me ringing the bell, they should come out and ask if I need help with anything instead of turning the light off. No one want to be late with appointment that's why I came 10mins early. And they that was the response I received.

Even on days they do not attend they ask if they can go. They are not only learning their letters, numbers, reading, etc. but learning so much about Jesus. They know Bible stories, worship songs, and have memorized scripture. The teachers and directors truly care about each and every child at the school. It is not a corporate owned school so it has a very warm, loving, Christian atmosphere. They do lots of special events for the children like the petting zoo, nature days, snow cones, mini-train rides, etc. Their motto is "excellence in Chrisitan education" and it is 100% true. I love that it truly is a preschool- not a daycare- they are learning all day not being babysat. I highly recommend this school and just cannot say enough about it. I am aware of the sister school being sold in Southlake (menioned in another review) - however, my understanding is that the curriculum, philosophy and teachers and staff all remained the same. It is also my understanding that the Southlake location was sold because the owner's husband was extremely ill and in ICU last winter and she simply couldn't manage both campus alone.

This rating does not reflect the front desk staff or the wonderful teachers who cared for my son…read more The one-star review is solely due to safety and transparency concerns, specifically the owner's unwillingness to make reasonable safety improvements despite multiple incidents. In December 2023, my son fell into a fence on the playground and sustained a severe injury to his forehead. This resulted in an expensive and traumatic emergency room visit, two layers of stitches (13 total), and a permanent scar. Responsibility was placed on teachers for failing to enforce "no-run zones." This is unreasonable; the playground is small, and children need to run. I do not fault the teachers in any way. Before making the difficult decision to remove our son, we attempted to work collaboratively with the owners to improve safety. We suggested modest, common-sense measures, including padding rough stone edges. Once the state investigated and determined the playground was technically compliant with regulations, it became clear the owners were unwilling to take any additional steps. We were explicitly told, "You have a choice where to send your son to school." Since that incident, I have learned of several other playground injuries, including at least one other child who, like my son, was left with a permanent scar. Hence, this prompted my review and so parents can make informed choices. I also want to note transparency issues that further eroded trust. When communicable illnesses occurred, communication was often limited to paper signs posted near classrooms; many parents missed them. The ProCare app, designed for timely communication, was not used. This was particularly frustrating during a lice outbreak. (Lice happens; I do not blame the school for that.) However, most parents learned about it through informal parent text chains rather than official communication. Thus, when deciding where to send your child to school, I would be sure to note the playground's size, stone edges, and lack of padding. I would also ask about the owners' resistance to implementing preventive measures after serious injuries occurred.

The teachers and directors genuinely care about the children; they're enthusiastic about their work and keep us updated on our daughter's progress. They truly go above and beyond to ensure that the kids are happy, learning in a fun atmosphere, enjoying nutritious meals, and feeling loved. When choosing a school, always trust your instincts. If something feels off, it probably is. Thanks to Primrose Westlake, she has blossomed into a whole new happy little girl.

Mrs. Cain- Preemptively enrolled my children in this daycare even though my ex and I share 50/50 custody and everything went down hill from there. ( They are only profit driven at least at this location) The kids continue to tell me that there is never any soap refilled in the dispensers and therefore my children were coming home sick every other week because basic safety features were not followed. Moving forward- The accounting department knew we were 50/50 custody and I asked a number of times to type up two different accounts so my ex (The FBI Special Agent) and I can keep our billing different. Things got progressively worse here and we came to a head when Mrs. Cain didn't know my children's whereabouts, even though they ride the CLA busses. How is this safe?? I own and operate a small business myself and I would never care for my patients the way CLA care for their children and respective families. I am a doctor and I am appalled that Mrs. Cain did not follow the divorce decree from day 1 and went by the verbal consent of my ex Mr. FBI Special Agent. I cannot speak any worse of this facility. My girls were called into the office and nothing was ever documented if it made the center look bad. Clearly, this business is profit driven and I will not cower to speak my mind just because my ex-husband Mr. FBI SPECIAL AGENT TRIED TO TRUMP ME and the school didn't follow our divorce decree. Ironically- Mrs. Jaimie Cain has stepped down and now they are under a different management.
