Fuel was $3.11 per gallon here, and just four miles down the road it jumps to $3.49 per gallon. That alone makes this place worth pulling into. At this interchange, Buc-ee's paid for roundabouts on both sides, which is highly efficient. It's a brilliant idea and enables smooth traffic flow everywhere. This Buc-ee's has been here for about three years according to Brisket Bill, and it already feels like a staple stop. I stood there watching them chop fresh brisket and almost went with the Big Buckin' Brisket Sandwich XXL... but it was just two buckin' much for me. This is a nine dollar sandwich and worth every penny! It is outstanding! I did hear employees mumbling something about brisket on something. Maybe they were just bored and wanted to chop brisket. It all began when we moved here 13 years ago and had to have our vehicles inspected. We went to one place which shall remain unnamed since I personally don't remember and besides, it doesn't matter since this review is for Jennings Bros. Ha! For the record, that other place planned to have us fix something that didn't need fixing so my husband took it to Jennings Bros next. Bada bing, bada boom...passed inspection with no issues! We've been taking our vehicles there ever since...inspections, oil, tires, brakes, etc. It's nothing fancy but the people are good, the work is good and the best part is that you won't have to pay those fancy prices. You can trust that they'll do a good job at reasonable prices and let's face it, trust isn't something you get to do much of these days. If you're like us, (and in this area, who isn't?), you'll take it when you can get it, right? Alright, nuff said! You'll find them on the NE corner of South St (a.k.a. Hwy 14) and 3rd St (a.k.a. Jackson St). It's a little difficult to get into during the road construction so unless you're already going W on South St, I recommend going towards Murfin's and then turning around and heading back W on Hwy 14/South St. They'll be on the right just before the light at 3rd. Oh...and while you're there, check out the old photos of the place on their walls. I have no idea how long Jennings Bros been there but the pictures definitely tell a story! Robert, the owner.. still uses the older style (mechanical) Bear alignment machine, and he sure knows how to use it. I had previously had THREE, so-called wheel "alignments" done at different shops over the course of about six+ years, from Montana to Missouri, and cost me three(3) sets of tires as a result of these "modern" Electronic alignment machines. Robert did the Fourth (4th) alignment nearly Seven(7) years ago, now, and other than "normal" wear on the tires, they are running absolutely "true" with NO scuffing, feathering nor any other Abnormal tire wear of Any kind, that can result improper Caster, Camber, Toe In/Out settings, etc. There was an issue back about five(5) or so, years ago with an employee who was rather "rude" and belligerent to a few of Roberts customers.. he was fired and has Not been employed there for at least the past four years, now... could be longer, time fly's by anymore it seems, as one ages and we can now see the "sand" leaving the top half of the "hour glass". lol Robert, himself is a great guy, does Very good work, is very fast and is More than Fair with his prices compared to Any other tire shop.. Anywhere. Myself.. I am NOT in ANY Way, Shape or Form... related to Robert, nor receiving Any form of reimbursement for writing this. I am strictly just a customer who really appreciates an Honest man who has an honest business, works his "tail" off.. and who will Never "cheat" anyone. Roberts shop is Not the fanciest place in town... but his Integrity, more than makes up for the aesthetics of the building. The used tires that I have been buying have 90% or better tread and I pay about half price of a brand new tire. Part of the savings is in the mounting, balancing, and valve stems. Those little hidden fees add up considerably. All of their used tires come with a 30 day warranty with no questions asked. Sure the big tire shops will offer a road hazard warranty, that you often pay extra for. In 35 years of driving, I have only made good on that road hazard warranty one time. If I'm buying tires at half price, that math simply doesn't work for me anymore. I highly recommend these people for all of your tire work. If you need new tires, just pull in and they will give you choices of used ones that can be mounted in 10 minutes, or she will pull up her distributor pricing and give you a Smokin Hot deal on brand new tires that she can install the next day.
