The second location in New York is 27-51 Jackson Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101. My first NaiSnow experience was at the Long Island City location. I walked in and ordered the Matcha Latte Boba, Caramel Egg Tart, Matcha Tiramisu Tart, Coffee Tiramisu Tart at the counter. It didn't take long for the order to be ready and it was all packed in an insulated bag. Inside, there are a few tables and countertop seats. The caramel egg tart is filled with custard core and a caramel aroma, the coffee tiramisu tart has a sponge cake soaked in coffee and layered with cream on a crisp and buttery tart, and the matcha tiramisu tart is made with premium Jingshan matcha powder fully infused into the cake base and layered with smooth cream cheese filling. The tarts are golden and have crispy layers. It just melts in your mouth. They are also a good size. The matcha latte boba was also very good. NaiSnow is definitely worth checking out!

This is exactly what I got on my first visit. It didn't disappoint. The custard was so rich and creamy - the best egg tart I've ever had. And the crust was flaky and buttery. I also got a bottle of jasmine tea. The tea was smooth and crisp with a light grassy note. The server was friendly and patient. The shop was quite busy on this Sunday afternoon. I'm sure I'll try other baking items or drinks if I come back to this area.

There's usually a line of some length during peak hours and especially around the holidays. You can tell by the sheer volume of baked goods and cakes available in their window displays that they sell a lot daily. This location is on the main drag of the little downtown section of Forest Hills, the baked goods in the front window display connect to a tall and long glass counter along the left side of the store that extends almost to the back. At the back middle and along the right side of the wall there's seating for about two dozen people at small cafe tables. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side. The latter had a pronounced caramel flavor that was enjoyable though a bit too much cream for me. My preference would be for their chocolate cakes over other cake flavors here. Their apple pie is one of my favorite apple pies anywhere tho!

The layers were flaky. The cream, exceptional. Such a wonderful Pistachio flavor. Sweet enough to curb any sweet tooth. Service was easy. We ordered at the pastry display and they brought our desserts to the counter where we also ordered a Lavender lemonade. It was so good. Starbucks Lavender has nothing on theirs. The ambiance was nice. Some camped on their laptops. Others running in for a quick bite. Beautiful dining area. Very comfortable, as well. The booth couches are a nice touch. We will most definitely be back!

I ordered the strawberry tart, lemon tart and pistachio Mille fille. I really appreciated the packaging and the takeout bag, which made it seem very high end. The pastries were all pretty good and were HUGE. The tarts are very similar and the pistachio Mille fille has a subtle taste. It was reasonably priced. My only complaint is the checkout process. It was slightly disorganized but I think it was mostly due to the amount of customers they had that day.

I opted for a chocolate theme because why not? Pain Au Chocolate ($6.95): The pain au chocolate was a stunner. With its stripes, it was undoubtedly the most attractive pain au chocolate/chocolat I've ever eaten, and luckily it was quite tasty too! Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($4.95): This cookie features copious amounts of dark and milk chocolate and offers a delightful chewy texture, with a few grains of salt on top. I prefer all dark chocolate but that's just me. Still recommended! Somedays is small and doesn't have any indoor seating, but there are some tables and chairs outside. Bummer since it was a little too chilly for me but a hardier customer was taking advantage. Service was chipper and patient. No cash discount.

This corner store in Astoria is one I have been passing by regularly over the last few months, and it has good service and some nice outdoor seating. So far, my favorite item has been the Pistachio Lattice, which is super crunchy on the surface while the nutty sweetness shines through on each bite. Another one I really enjoy is the Blueberry Cardamom Escargo, which has absolutely delicious cream cheese frosting mixed with wild blueberry jam and that nice hint of cardamom. Very moist. The Chocolate Chunk Cookie is pretty good too. Plenty of chocolate chunks with a hit of salt. However, their popular Pain Au Chocolate is not the best I have had. There is just not enough chocolate in each bite. Prices are not cheap, but the pastries are mostly very large in size, so you somewhat do get what you pay for. I don't eat baked goods too often, so it's not that bad in my mind. Service has been solid too.

However, the staff were also super warm and accommodating, and the quality of the items we got (gluten free vanilla and chocolate cupcakes) was great. The actual cake bases of both types were moist and flavorful. I could've gone with a little less frosting and more cake, but it made for a very aesthetically pleasing topping with the vibrant colors, sprinkles, and glitter. I kept getting strong hints of rose flavor from the pink frosting on the chocolate cupcakes so I'm not sure if they infused it with that. Overall, a great little spot, and really a savior for procrastinators looking for sweet goodies to take to a gathering when other last-minute ideas fall through!
