Welcome to Affton! There is another pretzel place competing in the St. Louis area. I went on opening day, October 1st. The place is clean, bright and well run for the first day in business. Parking is a little difficult but not too bad. They offered breakfast pretzel that included bacon or sausage with egg and cheese. Also serving hot dog, bratwurst and Italian sausage stuffed pretzel. Of course they have traditional twists and nuggets. I tried the bacon, egg and cheese pretzel and some twists. Loved the breakfast pretzel- very tasty and cheesy. The twists are good but I wish they were a little crisper on the outside and saltier. I should have specified that I like a salty pretzel but the twists have great flavor. Cheese sauce was a tasty dip! This is such a great addition to our little Affton community and I wish them much success! read more

I stopped in on a weekday morning just after 9am. I'm not sure what time they open but their selection in the case looked a little sparse. Perhaps because it was early? I ordered the 15 pretzel nuggets and asked for a side of mustard. The woman directed me to a little self-service mustard station at the end of the counter which was great. She had to bring them out since she hadn't yet done so for the day. I got a little cup of brown mustard and a little cup of honey mustard. The pretzel nuggets were actually very good. Much better than Pretzel Boys but not quite as good as Gus'. The outside was a little crisp which I liked. I don't like when a pretzel is so soft it tastes like white bread and this one didn't. It had a nice chew. As others have mentioned the parking is a little tricky but I'd definitely stop in again the next time I'm in Affton. read more

We have gotten their pretzels for many events easy and delicious and cheap however the last two times I have ordered them they have tasted like they have been sprayed with a chemical or cleaner. One time I would chalk it up to a mishap two times a couple a weeks apart and there is an issue. read more

Very disappointed. I arrived around 2:30 today in hopes of ordering a turkey and cheese pretzel. Seems simple, right? Wrong. Here's how today went: I walked in and there were about 6 other customers inside and they were waiting for their orders. When it was my turn to order I asked for a turkey and cheese pretzel. The guy taking my order told me they didn't have any. So then I said, "well then, can I just get a plain pretzel?" He told me that they weren't selling plain pretzels, but that I could get a cinnamon sugar one instead. I then repeated how I just wanted a plain pretzel, but he said they didn't have any (?) seriously?!?! Another customer joined in on my conversation to express her disappointment as well. We also asked if we could order the cinnamon sugar pretzel, but without the cinnamon sugar...he said that wasn't possible. I couldn't help but laugh and then I walked out. I'm a bit perplexed; a bit flabbergasted. I still can't believe what just happened. Will I be back? Not sure. The parking was complicated. The inventory of pretzels was lacking. Great, new pretzel place in Affton! They have a very good selection of pretzels (nuggets, cinnamon sugar, brats, hot dogs, philly cheese steak and breakfast pretzels). Their pretzels have a nice taste and texture. The crust is a bit crispy with a nice, soft doughy center. I have tried several of the cheese dips too! The jalapeno cheese is my favorite and the brat is my favorite meat pretzel. They also have meal combos, so check those out for a great deal. I like that they have a fountain soda machine so you can get an icy soda with your hot pretzel. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Some things they still need to work out is their somewhat disorganized ordering. When you walk in the door and they are crowded it is unclear where the line is vs. people waiting for their order. Maybe adding some clear markers or signs for the line? Also, they have gotten our order wrong a few times, which is disappointing to realize once you get home you got the wrong filled pretzel. It seems to take quite a while from ordering to receiving your food on days when they are not very crowded. Also, they have been out of items on the menu on more than one occasion. I am hopeful since they are new and still working out the kinks that this will improve with time. You should definitely give them a try or bring some nuggets and cheese to your office or next event! read more

I never had any problems with their Affton location and my first experience with their Oakville location has me thinking twice. I placed an order for pickup at 330 on Superbowl Sunday. I got it home (not even 5 miles away) and the pretzels were ice cold. I know they won't be out of the oven super hot but ice cold isn't what I paid for. At least keep them on a warmer or something until the pickup time is close. When I placed the order over the phone, I requested the 100 nugget party tray and they ended up prepping my order as a 72. They also had it written down and prepped that I requested specifically a jalapeno cheese, which I did not. I DID request to substitute the mustard (that I was under the impression was included in the price of a tray - it was not) with a cheese due to a food allergy and I was flat out told no. I've done this several times with your Affton location so I figured it wouldn't be a problem. So instead, whomever took my order, decided I wanted to purchase both a mustard and a cheese. I got the cheese taken off the bill without so much of a sorry or anything. I understand that Superbowl is your most busiest day of the year and yo close at 4 so were ready to be done but I urge you to pay attention to orders and fill them to perfection to keep business flowing. read more

Quick service staff. The guys in there all seemed to be working hard and having a good time. They had a little music playing but not obnoxiously loud. They had 4-5 people working behind the counter that day and I remember running how hard it probably is to find people these days. I placed a large order and they had be in an out in 12 minutes. We normally go to a competitor but we're in the area and decided to give it another go and I wish we hadn't. I this time for the pepperoni stuffed pretzel and again am extremely sick to the point of possible food poisoning. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because my daughter enjoyed her plain pretzel. The store overall was clean but, there were no napkins available in the holder. I have been to this establishment many times, and have never been let down when it comes to food and customer service. The workers are friendly, quick, and helpful. I have tried the original pretzels with cheese, the stuffed with turkey and cheese, and my personal favorite - the cinnamon pretzel with icing. For pretzels, I usually go for the original salted and cheese at most places. However, the cinnamon pretzel with icing is way too good to pass up! The pretzel itself is not too sweet, with having a cinnamon coating instead of heavy sugar and little cinnamon. The icing is the best I have ever had. I called in a large order today and I was very impressed with how fast and efficient they were. The pretzel nuggets are larger then you would think and delicious. I plan on freezing most of them for a holiday party. I was told all I have to do is take them out of the freezer and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. They will soften up and be perfect. I stopped at this place based on good reviews from others. Unfortunately after eating here, I re-looked at Yelp and realized most of the reviews on this place are from 2017. This place must have went way down since that time. The menu has far fewer things than what it used to have. The pretzel quality is substandard at best. You can get better at Sams Club. The stuffed pretzels have very little filling in them. The pepperoni one literally had one pepperoni and very little cheese in it. The cheese to dip the pretzel in is tasteless. Pretzel quality as I said, was not good at all. Very rubbery and chewy. Not a soft pretzel texture at all. Parking is horrible. Won't be back. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere. read more
