I have had problematic skin my entire life, and Jennifer is seriously a miracle worker! I have been going to Jenn about once a month for the past 6 months and cannot believe the tremendous improvement in my overall complexion. For weeks after my facials everyone from friends to family to co-workers comment how great my skin looks and how it is literally glowing. The facials at Pretty Please are all organic and Jennifer does the most painless and gentle extractions. My skin is never red or irritated after my facials here, as they have been at many other places I have been to, but is completely free of black heads and vibrant. The best part is you can tell Jennifer truly loves what she does, and really cares about getting your skin to look the best it possibly can! The organic products she has recommended to me have helped keep my skin calm and breakout free until the next time I can make it over to see her for another facial. I recommend Jennifer to all of my friends, and seriously cannot say enough good things about her facials. I am so ecstatic I have found Pretty Please and will never go any place else! read more

Where to start??... I've been visiting an aesthetician religiously on the west coast (I go to graduate school out there) because like a lot of women, I have been plagued by acne since I was 25...didn't have a lick of a pimple during puberty, and when I'm finally old enough to do everything and anything, my skin breaks-out, making up for lost time... to the point of slight scarring. Luckily I found Shani Darden (in L.A. - you can yelp her, too). She's been amazing, so much so, I thought I could get through the next couple of months in NYC without a facial. Not the case. As usual, my skin reacted to the change of weather. And so my search for an east coast aesthetician began. I literally spent HOURS on the internet reading reviews, calling for prices, talking with spa technicians - I wasn't sure about anyone. I have done the leg work, and it's a fact that Pretty Please is the ONLY spa on the net with 5 stars across the board. Naturally I was completely skeptical. I thought, "this chick must have been in a sorority, and these are all her sisters hooking her up with rave reviews". Nonetheless, I bit the bullet and made the appointment because all green arrows kept pointing to her. I was NOT disappointed, and let me tell you, I walked in with high hopes. Here is why Pretty Please is the bomb-diggity: - First time clients get cool little hook-ups - The decor of the place is adorable, (and it's tidy & clean)! -Easily accesible from the train -The facial itself is soothing, not harsh. -She doesn't push products, HOWEVER, she literally sells the BEST products on the market. Everything I VOLUNTARILY purchased I am ecstatic about. - Here's the kicker: despite a lot of extractions I wasn't red at all!!..In fact, I was glowing. I know everyone who writes a review says that, but I swear it's true. - To top it all off, she has a basket of excellent creamy milk chocolate so you can take a treat before you leave! - All her products are organic - and if you think her peels won't work as well as the chemically produced ones (that was one of my initial worries, I must admit) - you are wrong. They are awesome... She's really, really truly wonderful. If you're reading this and are confused about where to get a facial, trust me, this is the place. She's not paying me to say this, it's just that I am someone who literally struggles with her skin on a day to day basis, and I cannot stress how happy I am to have found her. read more

Jennifer, you are a God-send! Prior to this visit, I've been to soooo many facial locations I've lost track. They've all done decent jobs but have also left me feeling like they didn't do enough. Then Lifebooker introduced a deal for Pretty Please: $39 for a one-hour facial. I booked an appointment pretty easily (although she was quite booked up!) but had to reschedule last minute. Jennifer was so sweet about it, informing me that next time there would be a charge for last minute changes, but this time she'll let it go because stuff happens. I also told her that my voucher would have expired for the new appointment date, but she said she would honor it. Awesome! The day of the appointment, I showed up to the suite to find that it was a small but nicely lit and decorated room. Jennifer asked me about my skin concerns and then explained the procedure for the facial before getting into it. Man, that was the best facial I've gotten in a long time! She only uses organic products, and they smelled and felt fantastic. She didn't steam, but she did do extractions and tried her best to get everything (I had a lot). She also gave scalp, arm, neck and shoulder massages during the time aestheticians usually walk out. I believe I passed out at some point during the facial, it was so good. But alas, bliss had to end some time, and the hour was up before I knew it. Jennifer really knows her stuff and is so friendly. She explained what routine I should be keeping for my skin type and what products I should use (and jokingly reprimanded me for the bad routine I've been keeping so far). She recommended the product line she had on the shelf but was definitely not pushing it onto me. I was so happy with the facial anyway that I got the gel wash and moisturizer because I had been looking for something organic to use. I also asked her how much her usual deep cleansing facials are without Lifebooker. $100!? Oh man...I'm going to have to dig deep into my pockets, because she is definitely worth every penny! read more

Incredible service, ambience, and price! Would recommend the Keep Calm Facial to anyone with sensitive skin who is looking for an organic facial. I'll definitely be back! read more

I got lucky with my very first facial in NY. After reading all the fabulous reviews on Yelp , I decided to give it a try. Apart from the reviews , I was drawn by all the organic products that she used. It's a cozy comfortable room in a great location. Jen was extremely sweet and warm. She helped me pick the facial after chatting with me for a while about my skin and my problem areas. We decided to do the deep cleansing facial. Apart from the first time discount she also throws in the spicy pumpkin peel for free. That is probably one of the most amazing thing that my skin has felt in the longest time. It seemed to waken up every single pore on my face and then shut them close nice and tight. She does extractions very painlessly too. She massages your arms and head and I was drifting back and forth from sleep. Her selection of soft music in the background is an added plus. At the cost of sounding creepy, I think she has the softest hands ever. She is using the products day in and day out, what do you expect!! She is an absolute sweet heart and she has completely dissuaded me from looking up any more facial businesses on yelp. read more

It begins with the skincare line. And the one at Pretty Please is almost literally healing: organic, processed in Hungary, shipped direct to the spa. It's also the reason that Jennifer, the owner, started her boutique. After Anne used it with me and sent me home with some samples, I was sold. The day after she treated me I still didn't have to wash my face, and the slight acne on my decolletage disappeared completely. This is coming from someone who's used every kind of skincare product and moisturizer ranging from natural to synthetic to find something that really loves my skin. In the past couple of years alone that's included Caudalie, Ren, m-61 and even ReVive. The products at Pretty Please are better than all of them. Of course the service was great, too. Anne was gentle and communicative about what she was doing but also let me rest silently when I wanted. She's a believer in holistically treating the body, like I am, and it shows on her skin. read more

It was my first time going so I decided to just have any available aesthetician to help me, and I got Andrea. I'm so happy I did she was super sweet and gave me the choice if I wanted quiet or small talk. I opted for small talk and she was giving me tips of skin care and did such an amazing job. I got the exfoliating facial and it was amazing. Very clean place! It's a bit small but you don't feel over whelmed or tight. They also gave me some free trials that helped my aftercare so much! I love spot treatment cream because it helped the healing process of the extractions better! Also met the owner and she was so nice and welcoming! Definitely going back, worth the money. read more

Long time yelper, first time review. Figured that if any business I've found on Yelp deserves a review, it is Pretty Please. To further the cliche amongst the other reviews, the honestly the best facial I've had, easily surpassing the $200 sessions at the red door. Jennifer is a sweet heart, so attentive to your needs whether you are actually in her spa or not. Despite all the star-studded clientele she's had, she is very down to earth. Obviously she takes great pains to select each of the organic products she uses, but she will never 'push' product on you nor will she subject you to nose-in-the-air arrogance when you tell her what you use. I got the Pretty Handsome facial for $75 using the Yelp deal, but honestly I would have been happy to pay twice as much. Since I was a first time client, she treated me to a complimentary yam and pumpkin feel. The spicy tingling feeling was refreshing and did wonders for my pores. Despite minimal extractions my face was much clearer the next day. Jennifer is definitely a skilled esthetician, as talented as she is as a make up artist. Fortunately for all of us she has sacrificed much of her make-up business for skincare. One fair warning, she is usually booked out several weeks in advance, so be prepared to set a future date when you call. read more

I had my first facial here yesterday and words can't describe how wonderful it was and the incredible level of service I received from Jennifer. From start to finish I knew that Jennifer was tailoring the facial specifically for my skin and genuinely cared about the service she was supplying. It felt wonderful and she was able to successfully perform a lot of extractions without it hurting or forcing anything. The products she used were heavenly, as was the shoulder, arm and hand massage you get. The place itself is so pretty and extremely clean. Jennifer is one of the most personable people I have ever met and someone I am happy to give my business to. I can't recommend Pretty Please enough. read more

Loved this place. It's located in a skyscraper so after hopping in a lift & knocking on a door with a subtle sign on it - I'd arrived. I was greeted by Julianna who was incredibly welcoming & made me feel at ease straight away. She offered my boyfriend & I water prior to the facial (always grateful in the NYC heat!). The facial was amazing she was engaging & gave us wonderful tips on what to see in New York. The facial was really relaxing & she didn't force any of the extractions while still doing a really thorough job of it. The smell of the exfoliating lotion was just amazing. Loved it. Would visit again next time I'm in New York. read more

I had such a wonderful time at Pretty Please! The place is cozy and it felt so relaxing. Love the fact that it is a small place, it made me feel getting the attention I needed. The facial treatment was marvellous! Alexis was really kind with me she is professional and she made me so comfortable especially as it was my first facial treatment ever! She did a great job and I felt refreshed at the end! I would definitely repeat the experience! read more

I had such a great experience here. I emailed in because the calendar online had like no appointments. They answered very quickly and told me they had a cancellation for that evening so I booked it right away. The space was easy to get to and so elegant. I love the care and attention to detail. I had such a great experience from the moment I walked in the door. I had a signature facial with their all organic products. They have a non-invasive extraction method which was good. Still kind of painful but no scarring or redness afterwards. My skin was just glowing and so happy. Plus they gave me a free sample of a scrub to take home which was so nice. I immediately booked my next facial! read more

Went to Pretty Please last night for the first time after purchasing a Lifebooker deal for a facial. I normally don't like facials because I always walk out all red and splotchy and end up breaking out even more afterward. But I had a really great experience with Jennifer. The space is small, but so cute. It's inviting and feminine and cozy. I explained to Jennifer what my skin concerns are and she explained what she would do to help me combat those problems. The actual facial was great and really relaxing. You even get a little mini massage while the products are absorbing into your face. The extractions weren't too bad at all and the products were all organic and smelled really nice. When I walked out, my face was so smooth and soft, with not a red splotch in sight. I also really appreciated that Jennifer didn't try to sell me any of the products. I ended up buying one of them anyway, but not because she pushed it on me like often happens at beauty salons/spas. I instantly made another appointment for next month because I was so happy with the results. Would definitely recommend. read more

Lovely small quiet atmosphere. No talking which is great! Always feel wonderful and relaxed after.

I got a face and back facial with Anne and I could not be happier with the results. She is super nice and meticulous with her work, also very knowledgeable. I can't wait to come back for my next appointment!!!! read more

I was so happy to get an appointment with Juliana as quickly as I did. I was having some issues navigating the website and decided to shoot a text instead. I received a quick reply just to let me know they'd booked me for the time I was requesting, no fuss at all. Juliana also reached out the day before to confirm my attendance. I shared my excitement to meet her and she replied with a warm response. Juliana opened the door and greeted me by name. She introduced herself and allowed me to get comfortable. She asked me about my skin and I shared some of my skin history. I've always had blemish prone skin but have lately been challenged by some hormonal acne. I really was there just to give my skin some love, I wasn't expecting a miracle. Julianna shared some tips, including some tweaks I can make to my diet, that may help. She even suggested their signature facial over the clear & glow facial since it was my first time and she didn't want to do anything aggressive. Btw, I loved the location. It was very cute and comfortable. The whole experience was incredibly delicious. It was aroma therapy, relaxing, healing, and just a real treat. The time did not fly by, it was just right. She is sweet and just fantastic. Her hands are incredibly soft and skilled. I am sure I fell asleep a few times. I'm writing this review three days out and have seen an incredible difference. My skin just looks healthier, is less textured, and decongested. My makeup is laying better and it looks like it is healing nicely. I will definitely be back. I'm trying out all the samples she gave me. They are wonderful and I'm already planning on buying a few of them full sized. Especially a serum she shared that is specifically for hormonal acne. I've never heard of anything made specifically for those hormonal breakouts and have already seen how wonderfully it works. Thank you Juliana! read more

Best kept secret? Not for long. Jennifer gives the best facials. She has the perfect touch and exclusively uses Eminence products. If you're not familiar with these products look it up. She's very professional and knowledgable about the skin. If you're not sure what kind of facial to get just let her know what you're concerned with and she will recommend what works best for you. Having said that Jennifer never pushes you to purchase any products. Ever. If you're interested in a product she will give you all the info but you never feel obligated to purchase anything. Which makes the entire experience less stressful. Highly recommended!! read more

*LOVE is all over me* Before going here YESTERDAY, Tuesday the 19th, I literally read every review on Yelp; all 39! Lol. NOW I SEE why every1 says 5*stars & more! Jennifer is sweet & knows what she is doing! I am a repeat customer before the facial even started! But when it was done, my face felt *Brand New*! I honestly have a real skin picking problem, with a Skin Picking Therapist & everything, the name for my condition is Dermatillomania. I make marks, scabs, damage the skin, bleed, etc. I have been doing it for 4/5 years. Jennifer was knowledgeable about skin picking issues, as it is common & she knew and said that. She said she has helped people before like me! :) Which was extremely comforting, she definitely made me feel GREAT! So for people with problem skin, or for people that have skin picking problems DO NOT BE ASHAMED with Jennifer!!! She makes you feel comfortable, shows & tells you that she can help, makes you feel deserving and worthy of getting better & more! GO see for yourself, please! I am begging you! But after you get a service with her, you will be begging her for more! Lol. :) *Signed : Sensitive, Dry, Eczema skin & picker read more

I absolutely love this place. A cute and cozy place. Anne is a doll! I love her! She is one of the most amazing aestheticians I have ever met. She tries to understand the type of skin you have and plans accordingly. My face has never looked so great, her extractions are literally pain free and doesn't leave me with blotches of red skin or breakouts. The products used during the facial leaves my skin feeling luxurious. I highly recommend this place. The owner Jen is such a nice person too, I met her the couple of times I have been there, she makes you feel very comfortable. Eminence Product Line... what can I say! I am hooked. It feels amazing on my skin. I am currently using the moisturizer and am planning to but the face wash as well. A little goes a long way with this product. read more

Amazing !!!! This is by far the best facial I've gotten ! Pretty please is a small , private and Cozy place. Jenn is so nice and gives her devoted attention , she worked on my facial and didn't leave my side even when she applied my mask , I got an arm massage. Besides enjoying the aroma thearapy I enjoyed the message. My sister and friend, also came here and both times ,their comment were, " I feel 20 again ." Best part is .....it's all organic. No guilt of chemicals and toxic damging products. Jenn knew exactly what my skin needs and a big difference after visiting her. I love that jenn is sincere and loves what she does. Can't wait till my next visit. Even though I'm in Brooklyn , I do travel for just my appointment With jenn. read more

This facial appointment was the first stop for my daughter and myself on a special getaway together. This is a place that she loves to use, but it was my first experience there. From the moment we entered, the environment was warm, welcoming and calming. Jen made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and took the time to talk to me before we started to discuss my skin and any concerns I have. The best way I can sum up the facial experience is that afterwards, I wasn't sure I had ever really had a facial before! My skin has never felt better and i enjoyed every minute. I don't live nearby so i won't be able to come often, but I would consider going out of my way to try to get there again the next time I come to visit and I would highly recommend it to anyone. read more

This review is long overdue! I've been seeing Jenn for several years now every month. I absolutely LOVE her. I would give her 10 stars if it was possible on Yelp. She is the sweetest, kindest person and she really has your best interest at heart. Since I've started seeing her, my skin has improved so much. Forget bad hair days! We all know bad skin days are worse and you can't hide it with a hat! I have combination skin that's prone to breakouts but is also dry and has eczema. Jenn has found the right combination of products and treatments to give me beautiful skin. She has helped me more than any dermatologist has and she goes the extra mile for you! Jenn will be your friend and confidant to help you achieve your best skin. For those that are new to Pretty Please or thinking about making an appointment, please note that the treatments are non invasive and completely natural. Pretty Please estheticians will never force anything out of the skin but will still get your skin plenty clean in a gentle and effective manner! This is definitely the method I appreciate and trust. Jenn is the queen of skin and I promise you will see improvement if you trust the process and are willing to put in the time. Great skin comes from the inside out so diet, exercise, and lifestyle plays a huge part as well! I've also noticed a big change in my skin from using organic products. (Eminence and also at home remedies such as ACV and honey) If you are lucky enough to get an appointment with Jenn, I promise you will walk out a better version of yourself from when you walked in both mentally and physically. I look forward to my appointments every month because I get a great girl-talk session and clean glowing skin. read more

It's a little difficult to get an appointment because they are very booked up, but that is a good sign. I was able to get an appointment with Tara this past Saturday morning. She asked good questions and provided me with very good advice and recommendations before and after my facial. I got the signature facial since it was my first time here. I've had four facials at four different spas and this one was definitely tied for the best I've had. Tara was kind, careful, attentive, gentle and professional. I'm sure I fell asleep a few times, that is how relaxing it was. She provided some samples of some products they offer, but I really liked the fact that she wasn't pushing any of the products on me to buy. The facial was great and if the others are as good as Tara, I see the reason for the 5 star average ranking. I will definitely return. read more

So Yelp has become more and more crowd compliance sort of cult? Full disclosure I don't do facial very often but had enough experience without any drama as such to say this is the first time I've got much worse after a facial and regret spending such money only to ruin my face. My whole face is very itchy right now and has irritation marks all over the place. I told Julianna I have sensitive skin and I'm not allergic to any specific ingredient. Speaking of which I thought the first time consult was going to be very thorough but she ended up convincing me to keep the original choice of three layer procedure ( which is the most expensive one) within a few minutes. We were standing in the room and she didn't ask me a lot of questions regarding my skin routine or products I'm using and I kinda feel pressured and didn't wanna waste her time. Now I don't wanna blame this on her because Julianna does have good skills and I was actually feeling pretty good the whole time until I got home and things took a turn the same night. So if you are persuaded to try the place just because of all the five star reviews, be alert, especially if you have a sensitive skin like I do. read more

Pretty Please - Skin Care Near Me - New York, New York

Still amazing, time after time, after 10+ years of my coming here... Love this small business and their continued commitment to excellence! So many lovely ladies compliment me on my skin and ask what my secret is. I don't use any special products or do anything special, barely wear any make-up... so clearly it's the talented staff at Pretty Please that keeps my skin glowing and looking great! Thank you for continuing to deliver your excellent service throughout the pandemic! read more

Had the Clear It & Glow facial with Anne today, and it was--hands down--the best facial I've ever experienced. Anne was thorough, gentle, and very attentive. She took the time to understand my skin type and lifestyle, and explained the Eminence products without pushing them. She even gave me a small mask sample (without my asking) to use in a couple of days. The facial itself was relaxing (especially the massage!) and targeted toward my skin concerns. The extractions were effective (Anne did a great job of clearing some stubborn pores that had been clogged for years), but never forced. The studio was clean, pretty, and very calming. I will definitely be back next time I need a facial! read more

Thanks to Juliana, my face is finally starting to clear up. I was dealing with a lot of acne that was related to stress, and nothing helped. The products they use are organic, and I appreciated there was no pushy sales tactics to buy them at the end. My skin is on its way to being clear again, which is awesome. I've gone twice already and each time, there is more and more improvement. What a relief! read more

Purchased my organic facial here through Life Booker. The spa studio was so cute and cozy, and most importantly, clean! Great decor! The esthetician, Jennifer, was super warm and inviting- She makes you feel completely comfortable when you arrive and explains the different types of products she will use for your specific skin type. The classic facial was amazing, my skin felt wonderful after, and she even puts on some SPF sheer mineral makeup afterward so you can walk the streets of Manhattan without having that super shiny "facial face" after. I already booked my next appointment at Pretty Please, and I cant wait to go back! read more

I love this place! To me, facials are a luxury; When I book, I want to have the best, most bang-for-your-buck experience possible. Warm and friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and probably most importantly, a really really good facial. Book with Juliana! She was great. When I casually asked her about the regimen and products used during our session, she very conversationally mentioned Eminence and did not proceed to product push. I really appreciated that, although I didn't know much about the brand. Fast forward a month later - after seeing a friend and Palo Alto-based esthetician at a well known spa, she was raving about the brand and was surprised she didn't ask me to buy. That's great sales, honestly, and I can say not only will I be returning to Pretty Please but I will also definitely purchase the products, too. read more

I had a Signature Facial at Pretty Please today with Natasha and I loved every single moment of it! The space is really lovely: clean, cozy and inviting. It was a pleasure having the facial done by Natasha. She's very kind and easy-going while still being extremely professional and infomative about the service and products. The products were wonderful. They all smelled so good and didn't have any negative impact on my skin. When taking all this into consideration I find the prices to be incredibly afforadable, especially for NYC! As a result, I've already booked my next appointment for an LED session in two weeks and expect to keep booking regular facials with Natasha. I also took home some product samples and if all works out with them I will happily purchase them full-sized during my next visit. To the owner of Pretty Please, the attention and care you've put into your business is really apparent and I'm happy to have found your facial spa! Natasha is amazing and I'm looking forward to being a regular client of hers. read more

The rave about this spa is nothing but true. I was looking through yelp for a good facial and stumble across this gem. Made an appointment with Anne a week later and upon meeting her I find her to be the sweetest and kindest esthetician ever! I received their signature facial, it started with Anne cleansing my face then exfoliating it with a face scrub, follow by a few minute of steam. Then the fun begins the extraction part, I thought the extractions would be somewhat painful and honestly I didn't feel a thing! She was so gentle yet the extractions were so affected she got everything out! After the extraction she applied a mask. During the mask process I received a little massage on my hands, legs, and neck it was incredible. After the facial my face was not red not swollen and it was glowing. She also provided me with some product samples she used on me. Thank you Anne ! read more

The best facial I've ever had! I travel for business and have had facials at 5-Star hotels and top spas but the facial I had at Pretty Please beat them all. The products were fantastic and Tara explained why she had selected the ones that she did. I absolutely recommend Pretty Please and Tara! read more

AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING!!!! Everything about this place is perfect. I purchased a deal through lifebooker and was expecting a usual, normal facial. Jennifer's skills blew me away. This is by far, the best facial I've ever had - and I've gone to quite a number of places. The best part is, you don't look like you've had a facial. My skin never felt or looked better - despite all the extractions. Jennifer carefully explained the process & I never once felt like she was rushing. All her products are completely organic & chemical free. A cute small spa just enough for one client. Great decor. Very comfy. Jennifer ended the facial with a touch of organic foundation. Pretty Please is truly the best kept secret in NYC for the most incredible facials and team in the business. Where do i begin with how wonderful this place is?!? I started coming here over 2 years ago when my boss (who is also a client) surprised me with a session for my birthday. I HAVE NEVER LOOKED BACK! I usually see Jennifer who is a literal ANGEL--my skin fairy godmother if you will. She has helped heal and soothe my hormonal acne beyond compare while also addressing the scarring and damage that years of picking at my own skin had done to my face. She is absolutely phenomenal at what she does! I have tried dozens of salons in my 13 years in NYC and never went back to the same salon twice--that is until I found this gem! They always use and recommend products tailored to your specific skin issues but they never try to force products down your throat like other salons. That being said, everything that I have been recommended and tried out for myself, I have repurchased several times because the Eminence line they use is top notch! You don't go anywhere once and have all of your skin problems instantly fixed, that's not how it works! Monthly facials (when i can swing it) are absolutely necessary for me because just like anything else, its about maintenance. It is worth every penny! The facial massage, gentle extractions and life-changing products have worked wonders for me! I have heard amazing things about the other skin therapists who work here even though I have only ever seen Natasha (who always took great care of me and my needs in Jen's absence!) You really can't go wrong here! Jen has high standards and trains her team to the utmost highest level of care and service, so anyone working here is qualified in every way! I recently moved to Long Island and I still make the trek to the city because I couldn't possibly think about going any place else. Thank you Pretty Please for helping me cope with over a decade of being self conscious about my acne, texture, etc. and helping me heal my skin from the inside out! You are appreciated!!! read more

Located in a great area of the city, the space is quaint and relaxing. I got the Triple Layer Facial from Tara, and it left my skin feeling incredibly clean, tight, and vibrant. Loved every minute of this facial! read more

My skin has improved dramatically since we started working together. I highly recommend this business! read more
