Made an appointment for 12 for a pedi got there 5 minutes before and had to wait 35 minutes to get seated and when they did they thought I was getting a manicure. French tip came out uneven and nail was cut to short. Was told it would be $35 when I went to pay it was somehow $38 and had the girl picking up my bag, putting it towards me and telling me to "pay now". I made a same-day appointment for a gel polish manicure. Overall it was good - What you expect from this sort of place. My only complaint was that I made an appointment at 1pm and didn't get started until 1:40. Several others walked in with various other appointment times while I was there and they also had to wait, but no walk-ins were turned away. Like when two ladies and two kids without an appointment walked in wanting 4 pedis, they said oh yeah we have time for that. So I was clear they just don't care about honoring appointment times. I guess my expectations were really low so I wasn't very upset about it. As far as the nails, I'm happy because they actually did them short and paid enough attention to details; like I don't have any uneven lengths or sharp edges. But again, real low expectations. I should really stop tipping for this mediocre of service, but I didn't leave mad, bleeding, or terribly concerned about diseases (I definitely rubbed antibiotic ointment all over, but I always do that after a place like this; it wasn't horrifying). read more

This was my first time here. My daughters and I all got gel manicures. All of us walked with cut cuticles. As well as, nail polish on some of our skin. These two pictures are of my nails right after getting them done. Also, we had an appointment for 2:30 and didn't get in until 3:15. I've been to Pretty Nails for three appointments and each time it has been a pleasure. I recently moved to Bend and have tried a couple other nail salons and this one is the best by far. Appointments are easy to schedule, even the same day, and the service is excellent, price is fair. This is my favorite salon! Omg you guys... I've never had such a BAD job done on my nails! Seriously. And I'm pretty easy to please no less. They should just change their named to "Pretty Ugly Nails." The reason to get gel nail polish versus a regular manicure with regular polish, is because it lasts so much longer. Well, thanks to pretty nails we don't have to worry about that; I'll be surprised if this polish lasts longer than a week. This woman managed to get polish on not only every single nail, but the skin surrounding every single nail, which will result in the polish lifting in no time. There is lint on several nails. And the really fun part, she filed every nail crooked. I had her add a tip to the one nail of mine that had broken, it should have been an easy fix considering it was a clean break. All I needed was a tip and a little acrylic... Nope! It doesn't match any of the others and is fat and ugly. BONUS: she sucked the bluish/purple liquid for doing acrylics back into the bottle from which it came to be reused again! SO GROSS! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. Thankfully I have a gel nail kit (I wish I would have just spent the time doing them myself!) and MIGHT be able to fix them somewhat, since she over-filed some of them on only one side. The thing is, who wants to spend $34 on something you'll just have to then fix yourself? I went to a nail salon specifically so I wouldn't have to do them myself! What a waste of time and money! I went to Pretty Nails for a fill and Shellac polish. The nails were uneven and the polish was a cheap imitation of Shellac that did not dry despite adequate time under the heat lamp. By evening, I had a gouge in my polish. By the next day, I could no longer tolerate the mess and was searching Yelp for a remedial salon. How many stars does a one day manicure get? read more

Really terrible experience, they don't know how to remove gel nails- they tried peeling off my gel - then used the dremmel on high intensity with a course pad, I asked them to stop and just do a massage and they said no.. THEN she only massaged one leg. Water was cold and im in pain. Never again. read more

The worst nail experience of my life. I went in with my three year old daughter and sister for a special holiday pampering. We made an appointment, and were left waiting for half an hour. While waiting, I noticed the special in the window for a $30 full set of acrylic nails. They had availability, so I decided to go with the full set instead of a manicure. He was very rough with my hands, ground down my cuticles instead prepping my nails, and kept filing the skin next to my nail, to the point that it started bleeding. After he noticed it was bleeding, he put some substance on the wound to stop the bleeding, and then promptly asked for my card, before he was even finished. The gentleman that did my nails ending up charging me $43 for upcharges that I didn't ask for/wasn't made aware of. After he ran my card, he did a horrendous job finishing up, at which point I just left because we were already two hours in and my toddler was over it. My sister commented that the nails looked like I'd done them at home myself. After we left, I called and asked to speak with the manager. After explaining the situation, she said that she would issue a refund only if I came back in and let the same gentleman clip and soak the nails off. No apology, no nothing. Not worth the $100 spent between the three of us. Never going back. read more

I hate going into a nail salon late because they RUSH and make mistakes. The guy was rough with my nails, my real nails! I had to tell him several times and he smiled and kind of chuckled. I don't know why they can't just listen to the customer who is paying for their services. Super rough with the hand massage. So I ended up getting gel, when I asked for gel, they looker at me confused. So I said shellac. They said they couldn't do it, only acrylic. Sometimes I just feel like a foreigner when I try to communicate. They seem to have never done shellac/gel on real nails. He was amazed these were real. Yeah hello, easy on my nails now. The outcome, sloppy, can't paint a simple tip. Jagged rough edges. Also my time under the UV light was super short. I won't be surprise if these crack tomorrow! I expressed that to him! He said "I know what I doing." He tried pushing me into doing a pedicure. I said no. He looked and laughed at me like I'm missing out on something. No thank you after the services with the manicure. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, watch these things crack tomorrow and I can't come back because I'll be gone. I just feel like I flushed money down the drain. Fairly inexpensive and they got me in and out quick. Manicure is so so. I've had better but I've also had a lot worse. Biggest complaint is they left a lot of polish on my skin around my nails which looked bad but was fixable at home. Will probably try a different place next time. read more

Every time I come, I love the quality work they do with shellac. The wait for a pedicure can sometimes be for a long moment but no more than 20 min. The pedicure lasts forever too, which is why I keep coming here for the past 5 years. Very friendly staff. Have a great selection of colors read more

I love how my nails turned out but I literately have cuts on every single finger and the nail dust got into them and made it hurt worse and i was bleeding and he kept getting the same place on my finger over and over again which made me bleed more... my friend said that her nails were nice but she did not like how rough the woman was. she thought that her real nail was about to fall off. the were on the phone when they were doing her nails and that they were not paying much attention. read more

Good prices, but you get what you pay for. I got a set of acrylics and went in a few weeks later to get them taken off and get a regular manicure. The lady who took my acrylics off ripped off the top part of my nail. When she used the electric nail file, she filed down a few of my nails too much. read more

Got my nails done yesterday with the acrylic dip. The lady didn't want that first put tips on the broken nails and then I woke up today and 6 out of 10 nails are cracked. 2 of the have chipped. I paid 50 dollars and it's the worst nail job I've ever had done. My friend went with me and had the same thing done and her nails did the exact same thing. Nail salon in a strip mall equals low expectations on quality. I have had many a manicure so I can guesstimate what I am getting into. Needed a quick nail fix and am new to town, so I went to the closest place. The salon environment is strange. Brightly lit with high treble music playing, tv's on and three nail techs working. 6 people in chairs. I made an appointment and was seen after a 20 minute wait. The nail tech was talking to what must have been a family member, trying to situate her childcare, asking the family member to call mom, call dad and then complaining about family stuff as my nails soak. The manicure itself was basic. My nail tech could have been gentler. She checked to make sure I liked my color and if I liked the way my nails looked. I did, they turned out pretty good for $25. Just a few little things here and there, which is typical. I would go back but since I am new to town, I will try a couple of other places before I become a regular anywhere. $1 for a new nail kit, which is normal. The salon itself could use a few more shellac colors to choose from, a good cleaning and a decent sound system to make it more relaxing. read more

The ladies who work there were nice. It is not very clean there is nail dust everywhere and the staff uniforms are dirty. To remove my gels they soaked them in a bowl of acetone then poured the bowl back into the vat of acetone to be used again. They cut my fingers and I bled, nail dust got into the cut. It stung for hours. The manicure peeled up in less than a week. My mom was with me, hers were worse than mine. I had to dry myself off, in order to leave etc. and it wasn't a good job I had to use nail polish remover when I got home to get my nail polish off (main reason I went in was to remove toe polish) and finish sanding. I am new to the area and just happened to be at the shopping center , so I popped in. They took me right away BUT, my pedicure was sub standard , no cuticle cut offs , barely any filing, low effort . I rarely write reviews of my experiences, but I think this one deserves a mention. I had a pedicure at this salon today, and I can assure you I will not be going back. I walked in and asked if somone had time for a pedicure. I was assured that they indeed had time. Some one told me to pick a color and have a seat in the pedicure chair. I sat for well over an hour with my feet soaking in now cold water before anyone came to help me. I wasn't once told how much longer it would take nor did anyone seem to care that I was still sitting and waiting. When I did finally get someone to help me, it was a very rushed service. I called to speak with the manager after I got home to discuss my experience. As it turns out, she was in the salon while I was there and said that they were "busy". No other explination than that. I was in the salon for over an hour and a half for a quick, average pedicure. The prices are inexpensive, but apparently you get what you pay for. There are other places in town to get your nails done. It's my recommendation to pass on this place. read more

Great leg/foot massage with pedicure! Only negative was he scrubbed my feet a little raw on one side but I will admit they were in bad shape to begin with. Not bad! I have been searching for a decent and affordable place to get my nails done, (which I do very occasionally) and I can happily say that I will return to Pretty Nail. I was seated in a pedicure chair promptly today after putting my name on a list when I walked through the door, but watched a number of people either get put on a wait or decide to leave-seemed like a good sign to me that they were busy on a weekday afternoon. I opted for a mani/pedi and it was what I expected: nothing fancy, but the man who did my nails was very nice and thorough, AND he gave me a long massage on each leg which was great (*except he was wearing gloves which felt a little weird and I won't even go there with the analogy that came to mind....) My nails look nice and I am pleased with the results and price:just 36 dollars for both. yay! read more
