Cute nails at a lower rate than the nearby shops. The owners are kind and take pride in their work. However, even with an appointment, you'll be waiting awhile to be helped. They often overbook, and my last visit had me waiting 30+ minutes past my appointment time to the point where I had to leave as I had other commitments. This place changed ownership a few years ago. It is ran by a husband and wife team, and they are excellent. The husband "Slim" was smooth, and did a beautiful job on my new acrylics. Hold on to your seat..here's a MAN reviewing a Nail Salon!! Yes, that's right, I'm a guy. No, not "that" kind of a guy, but a guy all the same, and I DO like a good manicure. Pretty Nails & Spa is a great place for such luxuries, but at a VERY affordable price! Right off Hwy. 377 entering into the heart of Granbury, PN&S is adjoined to their family-owned doughnut shop hollowed out of an old Dairy Queen restaurant from the way-back years. Nicely decorated with Asian artistic flair, the place comes off less as a "cold" and sterile shop, but rather a home-like and inviting venue. The staff is minimal (often husband and wife), but willing to take care of everyone's personal needs. Most importantly, the shop is clean, and the tools they use are sterilized and opened in front of you before using. This is important to me, as I'm certain it would be for most people who get their nails done. My manicures there are done with incredible precision and style. By the time they are done, my hands look and feel as though they are brand new. At a $12 price, it is the best deal in town. There are a couple of other places that I have been at that may have a larger staff, more selections/options, and certainly a stiffer price tag, but this one is truly the best in my opinion. And yes, I've tried the others. The last one had a lady who literally picked her nose right before she reached for my hand. Needless to say, I literally ran out of there. The only con is the fumes. They DO have a ventilation system there, but sometimes forget to turn it on when they're busy. Other than that...no problems at all. My wife went with me last time, and had the best French Nails done that I've ever seen (and I'm not being biased). So...2 manicures and French Nails -- total cost = $35.00 + tip. Not bad, I must say. If you've seen them and ever wondered...give them a try. If you're a guy and want to know why women love manicures, here's your opportunity. However after working hard on my nails, she sprayed them with an aerosol can and they immediately had purple streaks. I didn't have time to return and ask her to fix. I use nail dryer spray at home. While visiting my sister in Granbury, we both needed a mani-pedi like girls do! We found Pretty Nails thanks to Yelp and were not disappointed. Prices are reasonable and they offer all the typical services of a good nail salon including spa chairs and gel polish options. We both had a manicure and spa pedicure and I got the gel polish. My sister was a bit disappointed in the paraffin wax on her hands. It was not what she expected so we cancelled that from the services requested. The staff was friendly and very thorough. I visited this salon because of the good Yelp reviews. My experience was quite the opposite. The place was hot! There were flies!!! A young girl that did not have a license posted, and I believe she was the owners daughter, filed the gel polish off my nails & finished painting my nails. My nails are uneven, too short, very thick and look like someone slapped cement on them. The gel polish wouldn't set, but I was too upset to have them repaint them. I believe there are a few violations in this shop, because I used to work in the same industry and know what the inspectors look for. Oh! This place is right up the road from my house so I decided to give it a try. Nothing fancy inside and the nail polish selection wasn't incredibly exciting- altho they did have the average array of hues. I couldn't understand much of anything anyone said to me but they seemed really nice... All that being said- the pedicure I chose was the tropical one and it was really quite nice. The rock massage was a little too hot and burned my legs a bit but as soon as I told him he cooled it down for me. The paraffin foot treatment was really nice and very relaxing. I may try another place before saying this is my chosen nail spa fix but I certainly wouldn't say you shouldn't go. I'm in Granbury for the weekend with my mom. We needed to get our nails done and came here because it had good reviews. This salon is in half of what used to be a Dairy Queen I think. The other half is a donut shop, so the nail salon totally smells like tasty donuts and made me hungry. It's a pretty small place and not fancy, but has a welcoming feel. Lee, the owner and her daughter are the only people working today, but we called ahead, got an appointment and didn't have to wait at all when we got here which was really nice. Both of them were super-nice and did a great job on our mani's and pedi's. The pedicure chairs a really comfortable and give a nice massage. And both of our nails look great! read more

STAY AWAY!!! DANGEROUS SALON Tonight (I2/10/14) sat down and asked the lad who did my pedi not to cut my nails back on the sides and ONLY file them. SHE CUT ME and drew blood and did not say a word!!! she put some kind of green gel on the cut and sent me home. when I got home I noticed dried blood. I am DIABETIC and this is scary stuff. I immediately took a powerful antibiotic, cleansed it with peroxide and applied prescription antibiotic ointment and started praying for no MSRA (of which I am a carrier). SAH read more

This is the third nail place I've tried in Granbury. Previously, I've used upscale nails and spa and lovely nails. The staff was very courteous at both those salons, but I wasn't satisfied with the quality of work. The pedicure at lovely nails was mediocre. The polish was applied sloppily, kinda looked like my 11 yr old painted my toes. On the plus side, they did paint my daughters nails and did nail art on her for free since it was her birthday. Same thing with upscale. Pedicure was done sloppily and the French tip gel manicure I had done had crooked lines and bubbles all in the polish. They do a great waxing job on the eyebrows though. Pretty nails has been the best I've tried so far. The staff was kind and courteous and really took their time with me. I had the gel layer done over my real nails and they look great, even and no bubbles. The pedicure was awesome too. Polish was done very neatly and unlike the other two places, they took the time to really care for my feet and eliminate all the dry spots/dead skin. Would def recommend. read more

Perhaps they are great for other applications, but I would not go back for gel nails. The gel was peeling off in 24 hours. Within 48 hours, 7 of 10 nails had areas that had peeled off. Did she not use a base coat? I can't remember if she did. But I did have the gel polish on the sides and cuticles of my nails, thus the finish peeling off almost immediately. This place is a discrace. I am a manicurist from another state and if this nail shop was in my state it would be closed!! I have never been to a nail salon this dirty! filthy nothing seems to be sanitized the restrooms were a disaster no toilet paper no paper towels dirty so much to say I just don't even know where to begin . After filing down your nails which they use on every client they brush dust off your hands up with an old washcloth there's nothing professional about this place it's an embarrassment to our trade!
