The WORST salon I have ever been to in my life!!! I came here for a regular sheer white, almond gel set. He tells me they don't have that color (who doesn't have white?) I tell him okay a regular white is fine then. Right off the bat, it's unsanitary. He didn't ask me to wash my hands like other salons do, so essentially people's hands are not washed when the tools are used on them. I didn't think much of it. As he's doing my nails, he keeps snapping at me to "relax." I have not said a word at this point. At first, I laughed it off, but he kept telling me to relax over and over which made me nervous and confused. As he's filing and painting them, I tell him calmly that they are too square and sparkly. He yells at me "ALMOND IS NO GOOD - SQUARE IS BETTER" and says "WAIT UNTIL I'M FINISHED!" How is he going to tell me what I want for my own nails? At the end when he's done filing the color, he asks me very rudely "better?" I say they are still very sparkly and very square. At this point, he's shouting and blaming me. Other customers and employees are staring. I show him the photo of what I asked for and how it's nothing like what he gave me. He keeps trying to blame me despite me repeatedly saying that I didn't want this shape or color. As I'm showing other employees the photos, he is still shouting from across the room, and no one tells him to stop. I said "how can he yell at customers like that, it's very rude" someone said everyone says he's rude (then why does he still work there!) and another employee tried to blame me saying "because I changed my mind" despite me only ever wanting one type of nail. Do not come here! They had to file my nails down to the bottom to remove the manicure and my nails are so scratched and sensitive now. They do not care about customers, only money. Disgusting salon. I religiously get my nails done every 2 weeks. I just moved to Ohio and I been in the hunt for my "home nail salon". 1st impressions is old and needs a lot of updating. You can't charge and try keep up with the fancy nail salons with those prices. I go with my 2 daughters. It was $213 for 3 pedi and 3 gel nail polish no manicure. On the Thursday before my son's wedding, I went to Pretty Nails to get a gel mani/pedi. A "new" tech did my nails. I was preoccupied and did not check before leaving the salon. Later I found that there was a gap between my cuticles and the polish. I returned to the salon Monday to ask if something could be done. Let's go through the mechanics of this visit: The wait: I didn't have an appointment and still did NOT have to wait ages to be seen and serviced. I loved that! The owner happily made me comfortable being in her shop. The nail tech: I was uncomfortable with the nail tech as she seemed uninterested in making sure to correctly follow proper procedures for beautiful nails. She was doing something that I didn't ask her to do so I pulled my hand back and she jumped! Can you believe it? Then she looked up scared as if waiting to see if I'd do something else. Will never go to her again. I went to another tech and she made me feel amazing, my nails have been looking beautiful since! Worst customer experience ever. My girlfriend had gone there to get her nails done. During and after the appointment she had mentioned to the nail tech that she didn't like what she was getting. She felt like the base color didn't cover enough so you could partially see her natural nail line through the acrylic so she said something. I've been here before today and while both times they were perfectly kind and sweet, I have to be honest. 1. They're ssssssslllllllllooooooooowwwwwwww A manicure alone-not including nail polishing and drying time- took an hour. An hour! To prepare my nails for polish! If you don't have two solid hours for a gel mani, I do not recommend. 2. They're cheap/stingy with supplies and cut corners. Currently my nails are soooo streaky (I'll post a pic) because my nail tech was trying to use the tiniest bits of polish possible. Nail tech tried switching the OPI polish I wanted for a cheaper brand twice by telling me I shouldn't do light colors and I should pick darker colors. Um hello it's summer... It looked like she was trying to wipe the nail polish brush dry before applying anything to my nail, trying to scrimp and save. AVOID GOING HERE. Worst place ever. I had an appointment because of an issue, and owner never bothered to write it down, and made me wait for 45 minutes. My issue was the girl put 2 different colors on my nails and toes. The owner basically called me a liar, and was going to charge me to redo my nails, but didn't after I said I wasn't going to pay for something that they screwed up on. He just filed my nails to get the old gel off (not soaking them) and was going to leave half of the old color and put the new color on top. He is very rude. I pass 4 nail salons from home to here just to get my nails done by these great people. The staff is always so friendly and Lynne never fails to make me burst in laughter. Salon is clean overall and they always take their time to give you perfect nails. One reviewer called them slow, but I'd rather be there for longer than expected knowing that I'm getting quality. Prices are extremely fair and not outrageous like other salons, especially when you get specialty shapes, gel polish, and sometimes crazy designs like myself. This by far has been the worst experience!! I always come to pretty nails to get my nails done! I've tried a few people who work in there and I did not like their work so I decided to try someone else that I've never went to before which was Lynn. So I had her do my nails for my trip last week & during my trip I broke a nail. So yesterday I came in to see about pricing and make an appointment and they told me I couldn't make an appointment for a nail repair and a cut down. I guess, Lee was trying to explain to me that if I was to get a cut down they would not be able to seal the nail which I was misunderstanding so he was getting frustrated with me because I was not understanding what he was saying and he said maybe I'm my English is not good and I got offended so I told myself I was not doming back but I really wanted my nail fixed for the new year. So I came in today and wanted to get my nail repaired by Lynn because she was the one who originally did my full set. When I arrived, they greeted me and everyone was busy except the three Including Lee and Lynn, they were in the back talking and the first lady came out and I told her I was waiting for Lynn so Lee finally came out and said they were in a meeting & I was sitting there for about five minutes before he came. Lee came out and said he was going to help her out by starting me so he started taking off the broken nail and he glued on the tip them he pulled out the stuff to start the the repair. I asked him are you going to be doing my nails or is she going to come out and so he got up and walked away with an attitude and said fine she can do your nails and just had an attitude with me. Eventually, I asked him like can you just do my nails because I'm short on time he's like no I'm uncomfortable now so this other lady started doing them then Lynn finally came out and she's like why are you starting so much mess why are you starting so much drama we all do nails the same in here (which is NOT true AT ALL)! She was just coming at me crazy! I told her I wanted her to do them since she did my full set so she got up and said she was uncomfortable and went back into the back room to continue eating her food. So I started going off and telling them about themselves because at this point they're both going back-and-forth with me and attacking me and making me feel uncomfortable! I didn't appreciate that at all! There was like four other ladies in the nail shop so I was embarrassed because they both were coming at me crazy at the same time and making it seem as if I did something wrong. They caused all of that commotion and made a scene ! Lynn said to me you came in yesterday with the same thing you're trying to make an appointment for repair and we don't do appointments for repairs but it's like how would I know that I had to ask yesterday because I didn't know! That was ridiculous! This was a terrible experience and I will never come back! I had to speak up and say so no ones going to do my nail? Before I could get serviced. A girl came in with an appointment and lee asked this woman to do me first and she was rushing through me to get to the girl that just walked in who was sitting next to me. She was paying more attention to her the whole time. When she finally put the clear coat on top of my nail, she did it from the seat in front of the girl next to me. I just felt uncomfortable and not appreciated at all! I felt very un welcomed like this was a terrible experience and I will never go back! I don't know if Lee got offended because I didn't want him to do my nails and I really don't care! They do not close according to their hours and tell customers they are too busy to see them when they feel like there are too many people in there. what an amazing place! We called in the night before we needed our appointment and they happily accommodated all 3 of us. We also called in an hour after closing time and were very thankful they stayed taking calls after the closing time.The next morning our ride was running a little late. We called to see if it was ok that we were a little late and they didn't care about it at all. They said 10 minutes was fine. When we got there we were greeted right away. Even thought they were a little busy and they took a little while to get to us, they made us feel very welcome. My gel manicure was spectacular and very well done. Still looking great. So was my friends. We both asked if it was ok if we got glitter on our ring fingers on top of our original polish and they happily obliged. They get you done quickly but not too quick that you feel you're rushed and they still take time to do a great job. My friend got her eyebrows waxed and they looked GREAT. we were going to a school formal that night and the lady was so nice she gave us the eyebrow waxing for free because of our school dance. The prices are way cheaper than some other expensive nail salons and it's definitely not worth it to go to some other place with prices way higher, when this place is just as great! Today was my first time going in there, I made an appointment and waited an hour or more when I got there, but no big deal I am use to the wait time. What really made me so upset was the staff there. I was sitting waiting for them to start my nails and next to me was a girl maybe 15-16 getting her nails done for the first time. The person doing them (a woman, the owner) cut her. And the girl said she changed her mind she rather not get them done she will just wait for her mom to finish. Perfectly understandable she got scared and was bleeding. The nail tech went off on her cussing up a storm, f*** this f that kept screaming at the poor girl her and her mother were crying. She then wouldn't stop for the next half hour she kept going on and on yelling at them from across the room. As they were leaving again f this and that don't come back bla bla. I have never seen this in my life before, that owner looked mentally disturbed. I wish I would have taped the whole situation but she might have beat me up lol. I am still in shock.
