I called before arriving to ensure they performed the service I wanted- Gel-X with cat eye polish. The woman who answered the phone confirmed they did and scheduled my appointment. When I arrived the technician started right away questioning my choice- why did I want gel.x?? Didn't I mean I wanted acrylics?? No, not at all and I said so multiple times. He kept at it "the price is the same but it's a higher end acrylic I know that's what you want right!?!" Still no, after multiple nos, I finally told him I was allergic and had bad rashes in responding to the powder. I had good success with Gel.x and wanted them again. He wasn't satisfied! Like I was just parroting something I heard but there was no way I could know my own mind? "Gel x is like a press on nail you don't want that" - Yes actually I did. And again, this wasn't my first set ever, I knew the glue lasts for 2-4 weeks so I was really baffled why he was pushing this so hard- additionally with acrylics he was going to be quite literally gluing on a nail to mine to build from- and low on the nail bed despite my chronic thin nails and this placements prone to creating rips and painful breaks. The tech was insistent, a poor listener and the highlight of why I rarely go into these shops anymore- a full set with the wrong shape and 1 coat of see through color. It was a complete wash and waste of $100. It also seems I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy or appreciate these encounters- every time I think it can be different and enter a shop it is a GHOST town. Stay away.

I got gel nails done a week and a half ago and while they were getting done I noticed that the nail tech wasn't letting my nails cure in the light as long as I'm used to. I thought that maybe she's using a new technique or gel where it doesn't have to set as long. But nope, she was just rushing and lazy. My nails now have air bubbles, they are goopy, the top layer is peeling, and the bottom layer underneath is wet and coming off onto my skin. I've never had this experience before with gel nails, especially as someone who gets her nails done all the time. The nail tech was extremely rushed and it just shows that they don't prioritize quality at all.

I've been visiting from Los Angeles and the girl I'd been going to at another location was not available. Since I'm going home tomorrow I wanted to get something done and since this place had good reviews on google I decided to give it a shot. I got the classic pedi($36)/basic mani($25) and only wanted them to buff my nails. Everywhere I have been that buffs my nails does such an amazing job that you would think i had clear nail polish on... that's what I wanted.. that's what I expected. So the girl, never got her name but it was a young Hispanic girl with long hair, she seemed nice but seemed to be rushing through everything. For the callus remover, whatever she put in her hands and put on my feet felt watered down and wasn't the typical consistency of callus remover I'm used to (that's fine though they might just use something different). Then the actual scrubbing part she only lightly brushed over my foot with it for not even 20 seconds it felt like and there was little to no pressure. Then she cut some of my toe nails crooked or uneven, didn't clean up the cuticle area on a couple toes and when she buffed my toe nails it didn't look like anything. I had to ask her to buff them more and even then it made no difference. Then my actual nails.. same thing.. very rushed. I shape my nails myself so she didn't need to actually do anything but she did touch up slightly. But one of my nails she made it way too pointy so once i got to my car i had to fix it. As far as how the cleanup around my finger nails went.. it was okay but could have been better. The buff on my nails was also just as bad and dull as my toe nails. It's funny though.. i buffed my own finger nails and had my regular girl buff my toe nails literally 1 month ago and yet my nails were still very shiny when I walked into the nail salon and I walked out with dull looking nails with no shine. & when she applied the cuticle oil she wasn't looking and missed a few nails completely ( she brushed it on my knuckles lol). Idk but I won't be returning next time i visit. I'm sure other people at this location might do a great job but I'm mad I paid $62 ($72 including tip) for a mediocre job that I have to fix myself.
