Since I don't have a lot of time or get pedicures very often I usually go to Spa La Posada or De Sanchez but the other places didn't have any availability after work for an appointment during the next two weeks and really wanted to get a pedicure today. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did. To start, the shop is clean. Everyone is wearing masks and they are sanitizing between customers. They didn't notice me come in but you just sign in and wait. I appreciated they were very focused on the customers they were already working on. Myself and another lady were waiting, then someone else came in wanting a pedicure but they made sure to take everyone in order. While I will admit there is a wait, as soon as they cleaned and sanitized the pedi massage chair, they set me down with some warm water and relaxing bubbles. On top of that, the massage chair was amazing so if I had to wait 30 minutes with my book and music, I was in pure heaven. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait! I selected the Royal with the Shellac and was treated to a wonderful experience by Helen, my pedicurist (not sure of the term here). The Royal included a massage and foot treatments that rivaled any of the spas I have been to. By the end of the treatment my calves and feet were glowing and I felt so relaxed. Helen also did an amazing job on my toes and everyone was friendly and welcoming. I will warn people that on busy days expect a wait, and they only take walk-ins but if you are willing to wait you will be in for a treat.

I was obviously paired up with a very friendly and sweet young lady but it was obvious that she had just graduated from beauty school and lacked experience. I spent 3 and a half hours getting a "premium/ultimate pedi and mani" which I was charged $70 for each and then $10 for each design which I cut back to just 2 nails and my big toes due to the time it was taking and then she couldn't even do the advertised design and just put 3 white lines on the nails and then charged the full $10 cost for each "design ". Plus, she skipped a few steps that I had paid for that was listed in the "ultimate " versions of both the mani and pedi. If I had been told upfront that the girl was a junior technician (right out of school which she admitted to me) which meant she was slower due to lack of experience, that she hadn't practiced doing the designs they advertised on fake practice nails to be proficient, I would have been more than happy to pay a discounted price for a junior technician and then chosen no design but instead chose just a glitter polish instead and would have dealt with it. But a $180 plus tax for a bad service because she was not being mentored in any way, my nails were so misshapen that I literally had to cut my own natural long nails completely off when I got home, my cuticles on my toes were not properly done and the ones on my nails were cut off so bad that she cut me with the nippers to the point where I was bleeding TWICE! It was such an awful experience and I felt bad for the technician who kept going to the manager for help and was blown off and then the manager insisted that I be charged full price! I waited a half hour to be seated and then I spent 3 and a half hours uncomfortable while receiving inadequate service, being charged for things I didn't receive and then what I did receive was poorly executed to the point that I was injured twice and I had to go home and cut my nails off !! I will never return to this place again and I highly regret going there and I plead to anyone, save your nails, toenails and your money and stay clear of this place.

I don't get my nails done often (typically 2 or 3 times a year), but this place does an amazing job every time. I have been to the ritzy salons, and I would trade their fancy decorations for the quality work at Spring Nails any day. The staff is really laid back and easy to talk to - perfect for us low-maintenance people. The salon is next to the Dairy Queen on University Dr. in Edinburg (it doesn't come up when I search for it on most maps).

They recently got different light and Halloween decorations, very cute and I felt really relaxed. Everyone gets along, chit chat here and there, very welcoming. Before starting they offer drinks! Any category like alcohol, sodas, and juice. Though only one problem, it is pretty pricy, basic acrylic can be $61-$65! So of course Extra things will get more expensive. But overall, this place is really recommended if you want perfect design and service.
